Most informative.
Thanks so much Larry!
I have always been wary of buying plants due to owning cats and the potential toxicity. However, I am now a proud owner of a Bromeliad as well as a Peperomia (Chinese money plant), and I find videos like this extremely helpful!
Great video, I love the detail in what to trim and what tools to use. Do you ever do orchid videos?
Hoping to include Orchids at some point. Thanks so much for watching!
Always support my bro greetings from Trinidad and tobago

I love your videos. Thank you.
If you use a new sharp razor blade it doesn't leave the brown line or nearly as much at least.
I appreciate the very informative video, thx.
This is very helpful. Thank You!!

@@islandbreezetropicals1276 and they're doing so much better! They're looking pretty good now
Great information
excellent!
Thank you 💖
Neat and orderly..
😊 thanks
This may be a dumb question but what happened if you don’t trimthe leaves?
It really doesn't affect the brom (or any plant) if dead leaves are left on the plant. I often remind myself that there is no one out in nature trimming, so it really is just an aesthetic issue. Great question, thanks so much for watching!
@@islandbreezetropicals1276 oh so it’s optional nice 😊. Thanks for the response 😄
My bromeliad doesn’t have its main steam anymore. Does the main stream grow again? Can a plant give babies more then one time?
This plant has three babies, I’m waiting them to grow so I can separate them.
Once the central meristem is gone there will be no more growth, but if the stem is still intact there may be a chance for additional pups.
The stalks of my bromiad brakts rotted I thought that you kept them watered by putting water in there, what went wrong?
Bracts are modified leaves on the inflorescence...are you referring to those structures or the inflorescence itself?
@@islandbreezetropicals1276 Thanks for your reply,I meant the flower stalk,I just discovered that the whole root system along with the bottom of the leaves is rotted,I bought them from my local hyper market and it looks like they had been watered wrongly as the potting mixture was sopping wet at the bottom.
@@gerryxanthopoulou1279 very sorry to hear that the plant was rotting, this sometimes happens in stores that don't specialize in plants. I hope you have much better luck on your next bromeliad!
The base of my leaves by the root is brown. Is my plant dying.
Give your brom a gentle tug to see if it is loose and see if it is mushy at the base... if it feels solid you may be seeing old leaf senescence.
You talk too much sorry
