- This was definitely my most risky purchase. The intention behind this was first and foremost to get the best deal I possibly could because that matters a lot to me and the second was put my Craigslist skills to the test. Most people believe that it is luck of the draw no matter what kind of person you meet with, but I firmly believe that there is always a perfect way to handle each interaction/transaction so that you never get screwed.
Anyways, I really tried a different approach to this video than I usually do. Let me know if you like the way this turned out and if you didn't let me know too. That said, enjoy the video!

CS:GO is capped at 300 fps unless you type "fps_max 0" in console this will uncap the fps, Love the videos btw.

I got an r9 280x on facebook for 80nzd and I couldn't be happier with t. It didn't even work when I tested it at his house, but he assured me I could return it if it didn't work. they sell second hand for more than twice that.

Yeah, most of the time it is but graphics cards are among the riskiest used items you can buy because it is hard to tell how long they have been stressed. I once bought a GTX 560 ti used and it broke in month.
even if you mine on cards, people that keep the cards at good temps (below 60c) and run them on 70% tdp basically have cards that will last its general lifespan with good care. I mean the GPU will get a lot hotter under some heavy load gaming than somebody that mines with GPUs safely and correctly.

I just recently snagged an EVGA 1080 8GB FTW card (not a 1080TI) from eBay for only about $550 AUD which is only about $390 USD. It was used but it came packaged with everything the card came with originally including a pretty cool EVGA poster. Surprisingly it wasn't a scam at all, fans are still fully operational and the GPU is working great. You just have to remember to be careful when you buy used cards and look out for sketchy shit that might insinuate a broken or faulty card.

EVGA 1080Ti ICX was $560 from EVGA Ebay store with 15% off promo brand new on 8/8 why would pay $500 for zotac with no second hand warranty. was used ones going for $430 on ebay with that 15% off Promo.
I unfortunately shot this 1.5 weeks before pronto15 was announced... That said I did use the code and got some stuff for an even better video :)

I had recently bought a dual fan EVGA 1080ti SC black edition for $400. I'd say about a month has gone by now. Card was in "mint condition", let me tell you. What a buy. The card is basically brand new... The guy even gave me all the information needed to activate the 3 year manufacturer warranty, under my name!

the core amp edition of zotac cards are actually cooled very well. People just dont like the brand because it hasnt been a staple for as long as MSI/EVGA.

I too was afraid but decided to buy a used 1080 ti which turned out to be way above average in term of performance. Card works perfectly fine been using it for a month now and seller even had the receipt for the guarantee since the cards was only a few months old. You gotta find the trustworthy sellers.
I just bought a 1070 off Mercari for 220 and found out today from the seller it was used for mining. They told me it was never over clocked but I’m still skeptical, I have time to test it tomorrow.

For CS:GO you have to enable developer console and type "fps_max 0" which will put no cap on fps (fps cap is set at 300fps by default) then you can probably hit 400.

@@doggityy I don't think Phlizz is running it at 1440p, that's why. A 970 isn't even in the same realm of a 1080ti. CSGO also has diminishing returns, fps doesn't usually go above 300-400 much.

I got mine 1080ti for a little less than 850USD, with some electrical noise under full load, but totally unnoticeable with those fans running full speed. Not a huge sale deal but I’m super happy.
with cards for the last 5 years having changing clock speed even if a card was mined on day and night for 4 years you would be hard pressed to tell it vs a new one in performance.

@@tendo6385 pubg is not a complete and optimised game and should only be taken lightly for benchmark tests. using a complete game like bf1, tomb raider etc. Is more ideal or even just use a benchmark test And download it on your pc.

you could actually run the 1070Ti with the 1080Ti, but it will only be utilized in professional workloads. in gaming, one of the cards will not be used. just don't put an SLI bridge.
