That is a heavy deck. Way more weight on the front is going to cause the nose ride heavy, I framed my front deck in aluminum and used 1/2 inch plywood treated with resin to waterproof it.
Great Vid! The next modification could maybe be making compartments under the platform for storing fishing tackle! I like the electric motor idea so that you can fish in a lot more places!
Ditto on being mindful of how much weight you add. If you don't have close to equal weight at the Stern where you're building up the bow your boat is gonna be nose heavy in the water. I modified my 1448 jon a few years ago and was able to do it using all 2x2 and 1/2" plywood construction and didn't increase the weight by too much. If you check out Tony Boat Nation's channel though you'll see some great info on framing using aluminum angle and that's the preferred method by far. Nice job though! You're gonna love have a casting deck up front.
great work i’m a huge fan maybe adding foot pedal on ur trolling moter so that u don’t have to squat everyone u wanna move it or shift and maybe to carpet the rest of the boat ik ur on a budget but it will be worth it in the long run !!
I did mine about a year ago and I absolutely loves it I wish I would’ve added the latches like i was planning but I didn’t so it’s all good. I’m also trying to find someone to collab with on RUclips as well this spring to catch some big bass. So let me know if you want to make it happen. I’m not far from Richmond at all!!
Yeah I’ve been thinking about that. It’s front heavy atm, but the deck is actually built at an angle where it stays flat even when it’s front heavy. Once I put a motor on the back it should balance out better too.
I wish I would've known you were going to build it out. I work construction and could have helped out! Be careful since you just added about 120lbs of weight to your boat. Gotta keep an eye on your weight limit.
@@FISHERYIN No problem! I keep thinking about building out my brother's jon boat for an all electric setup, since it's been sitting in my driveway. If I end up ever having time/money, I'll share the progress.
Well I know that you said not the video no plywood but what you could do is just and a layer of it on top of that to make it flush with the boat and maybe even add a storage compartment right in the middle of the deck with a hatch ?
It looks good but you can't use to much stuff to keep building you would need a bigger boat that boat can proably hold like 600 -800 pounds so I wouldn't go to crazy
Love the video but I have a view question I’m start my own diy jon boat project 10 ft sears an I have a couple questions it I could have a Email or something to reach you
Hello my friend I say yes you should add a deck on the back of the boat also you should add some bolt some chairs to the boat 👍 and a small grill to cook fish on
Learn how to adjust the settings and practice practice practice. It may be frustrating at first. Also, I wouldn’t recommend putting on light lb test line as a beginner. It’s a lot easier to backlash.
Boooo! I have a 14ft Jon boat and a 8hp Mercury but the motor currently is not running. A lot of the lakes down here take up to 9.9hp. If your ever down here 🎣 hit me up. Some real nice spots in Suffolk, Newport News and Hampton. And if you’re ever looking for some background songs for your videos I make music. Google Solomon Crates. Not looking for $$. Stay safe ✌🏽
You have the right idea but, take ALL that weight off the boat and use it for a out board stand in the winter!!! I’m afraid you’re going to sink that poor little boat!!! Please consider using plywood instead!!!!!
Plywood will be v.2 of the deck, but surprisingly, the boat handles perfectly with the deck. With the outboard on it, it’s incredibly stable, supports two people on the deck, and rides on plane. Guess I got lucky but thanks for the suggestion James!
This mod is sick! Yin tin lookin fresh my guy! Cant wait to see it out on the water, the video kept me entertained the hole way through!
That is so good to hear! Thank you for the feedback Jack.
oh hi jack

The only sensible comment on here 😂.
@@WitchDRofKabul not really treated wood eats aluminum

Dude i’ve been waiting on this one!
I want to do the same thing when it is spring. The only thing that I can think of to modify the deck it to put storage underneath it
100%

Hey good job man! Bet the YinTins happy with the upgrade!!!

Outstanding work boys. Way to go 👍
Awesome build u got going bro, not really familiar with the electric motors?! Excited to see more come of this Bad A Skiff 👍🏼
You should make boxes on the side of the boat for rod storage and then under the lifted part sorted drawers for lures and line and snacks
Great video that’s sick can’t wait to see you fish on it
You should get paint grit and flex seal for your deck when you need to replace carpet. Grit will give you a lot of extra grip
Ooo you already know this is gonna be a banger😎🔥
I love when u use the microphone it sets you apart from other yt fishers
When fisheryin is looking lumber at lightning
Good job Yin. You sure added a lot of weight using those two by eights. Be careful and good luck.
Just subbed and hit the bell! I love your energy bud! Tight lines💪
Welcome to the channel!
Glad to find a fishing RUclipsr from my neck of the woods, well you got my sub. might see you on the water some day 👍
For sure bro!
This is a really cool video 👍
I like this video, cool way to make it simple
Thank you! Glad it turned out well
Do you live in Canada

Simple, thanks for the video
Nice deck, you'll love it for sure!!

Awesome my man!!
Nice modifications to the yin tin there.

Awesome video bud 🔥
Love the mod you did you should had a railing around the deck of the boat
YES NEW VIDEO!
Sorry for the wait haha
This the vid i been waiting for let’s go
You should cut out a hole and put a square bucket to store live bait like minos and maybe led lights
Sick boat man! I recommend a fish finder.
🔥🔥🔥 keep up the great content
Good job for building the deck but do you think that is a lot weight fir your boat? Overall hood job 👍

@@FISHERYIN 👍
Looks fantastic! Might wanna seal the exposed part of the wood
Great idea
You should put a little chair at the deck, i think its very cool than. Like your vids so much.
Hello good morning will you be going a part 2 to you boat I would like to see it completed
How much Weight did all that add?
You should add like car hydraulics or something to the bottom of that sign lips up and then you have all your tackle below it
Love your vids bro
Can you shout me out
Pls
Carpet rest of boat and maybe a custom decal that says yin tin. And a new color
Love your videos
🔥🔥🔥

Not sure of what type of wood you purchased, but treated lumber corrodes aluminum FYI
Ah thank you for that advice!
I’ve been working on mine as well! You did a nice job!!😎👌🔥🔥🔥 also how much do you want for your motor?
Love it 😂
Don’t lie but he is the best RUclipsr ever 🕺🤷🏽♂️ it’s just facts
How heavey can i make it? good job!
What size is that Jon boat? 10? 14 feet?

Grill would be fancyy
LOL I thought you were in Richmond TX
Hey man I also live in Richmond, if you want some good spots in Midlothian lmk!
For the cost of a basic Jon boat. In the UK, you can buy a bigger more stable good quality second hand boat with an engine.
TOEBBBBY
The vids Ryan, but what reference videos did you use?! 😂👍
Oh all the good ones, and I decided to do the exact opposite 😂😂
Lmaoooo, check out Anthony Jones’ RUclips channel he does all of this stuff for a living and does a great job
i’m located in chesterfield so you’re honestly really close yin fr hmu!!!
Was that 60usd?
Here before he hits 1mil
keep it light as possible
I'm doing the same 100$ challenge, used 40$ half inch plywood 4x8, carpet, leds lights, topside paint, and wood stain
When you showed when it gonna rain and it said Richmond and I have a Richmond where I live in ky
100TH COMMENT. Also, I think making a little compartment to hold flat tackle boxes would be cool
Good idea!
What state are you in
Add a storage space under the deck
The YinTin is getting modified soon!
@FISHERYIN ok cool I will most definitely watch it
I need a 9.9 real bad
W video
A 4x8 sheet of plywood wood at Home Depot is like 23 bucks
I just got a bait caster any advice

Custom rod holders
I wish I could do that

9 horse power motor
Fish finder
Storage for tackle

Hey I know your famous and you might not see this but I'm in the state of Virginia and I'm a big fisherman I would like to go fishing with you
I’m not famous at all haha. Shoot me a dm on insta!
WHY? I turned mine into a catfish boat
Where’s your mercury?

Ppl here from tik tok
too heavy.
You have way too much weight on the front of the boat need to redesign a lighter..
Noted
Your waisting so much money and making your boat so heavy use steal
This sucks as a fishing boat
Working so far! But it could definitely be improved
if only i came 🥲
Yeah, you probably wouldn’t have froze like poor Toeby
