Carly and Freddie was Okay but they work way better as a group of best friends and relationship drama should have never gotten between them (yeah its realistic because they're teens and teens just fall in and out of love all the time lol but like as a viewer I found the show at its best when they weren't worried about hooking up the main characters with eachother)

sometimes a guy looks for traits his own mother had. Sam also was probably attracted to Freddy cause her mother kept bringing home the type of guy that Freddy exemplifies. The clean cut timid worker. Partly because they both like pushing their power over them. So Sam and her Mom seem to be attracted to the type of guy that freddy is but have a hard time showing affection

Exactly! I hate it when people say, "Freddie's mom was actually a good mom because she always protected and cared about him." But I know those same people who would hate to have a mom like Freddie's. Plus, in real life, those same people would most likely will make fun of kids like Freddie for having this sort of mom.
A lot helicopter parents act the way they do because they want to feel in power and in complete control over their children, due to certain psychological issues. It's so much deeper than just, "Oh they just care a lot." As if parents who aren't helicopter parents don't also care for their children. 🙄
His mom was funny to watch on TV, but she is abusive. Having a mom like her in real life would be torture. There's some so creepy about possessive parents like her.

@@JayniacJr they probably wouldn't because they've gotten into worse disagreements before as friends, so they can most definitely handle themselves. There are only few times Carly did the right thing but she messed up their relationship. I agree with you that Freddie doesn't deserve neither Carly nor Sam, but if he really had to choose between them, which is how the story in the show would see it and not with any random girl he meets, it probably would be Sam I understand that she was abusive but Freddie didn't really dislike in terms of her character. He doesn't want her to change to fit what he would like, and they most definitely could work things out and we've seen them workout their arguments and reduce the frequency. I think Freddie and Sam's dynamic is very similar to Arnold and Helga. Where Arnold has the most amount of empathy and patience for other people by far in the series, even if he doesn't necessarily like his classmates and the adults that he's around. While Helga is a hot-headed bully towards most of the kids in the school, because she doesn't know how to express her emotions properly. Like Sam, she was raised in an abusive household with parental neglect, and substance abuse. However, Helga is more of a typical tsundere character.
She was obsessively stalking Arnold and out to make his life a living hell for him, but does everything she can for him indirectly, because he was the only person who treated Helga with kindness and respect. When Helga finally confessed her love to Arnold via the original film and The Jungle Movie, she was able to become her true self, and no longer beat the crap out of anyone who confronted her, since she felt comfortable enough to publicly display her affection to him. Helga's insecurity issues mostly disappeared, and would be willing to listen to Arnold's advice if she has future emotional outbursts.
*TL;DR:* Arnold x Helga also works, Seddie doesn't.

It was more to appease fans I agree, and isn't meant to make sense irl on why that relationship would actually happen. We aren't supposed to see these relationships in the perspective on how society views the traits of the characters and how irl relationships work. This is just TV, both characters loved each other and wanted to be together and should be together, why deprive them of what they want. I don't see why we should say Freddie doesn't deserve Sam or Carly, like Freddie chose Sam and loves her and wants to be together mutually, and since they both have that incentive, I ship them

I just wish TV shows didn't try making us root for the toxic relationships to happen, like Beck and Jade for example. It gives young people the wrong idea of how an actual relationship should be like, but at least we could use these pairs as an example of what it shouldn't be like. I get that they're just kid shows, but that makes it even worse since this kind of stuff was being shown to us as kids. Idk, those are just my thoughts.

As a teenager when watching this show, I never thought that deeply about the examples that shows like iCarly set. I can't speak from memory about the relationship dynamics between these 3 characters because it's been so long; I'm currently rewatching the series on Amazon video. I feel as if these teen sitcoms in general are written with no real substance in general; Disney Channel kind of took on a better reign when choosing shows that I could relate to growing up. iCarly seems to be part of the era where the shows are only made to help young viewers escape reality.

Both Creddie and Seddie were very toxic. Freddie stalked Carly for years and when she finally showed any interest in him, it was because he saved her life. • @justjoking4223

Freddie didn't stalk carly. That's insane. They were friends, neighbors, they went to school together, and they did a web show together. It makes perfect sense that he was around her as much as he was. He didn't even flirt with her like that, just the occasional compliment. Yeah, he made his feelings obvious, but he was also able to just be her friend, without his feelings interfering much. The reason that he broke up with her, was because he wanted her to like him for him. You make it sound like it's a crime to pin after someone. As long as you respect their boundaries, and don't harass them, then it's perfectly fine to pin after a person. And Freddie didn't harass Carly at all, he barely even flirted with her. All he did was hope that she would eventually change her mind about him.

Carley tried something similar but even she realized that it would never be a permanent solution. it taught her a little restraint at best, but sam is not the kind of girl who can just turn the flames down once they are lit on her own. the only real way that sam and Freddie's relationship would have worked is if they kept letting each other enjoy their own hobbies like they originally were doing without forcing each other to do things they have no interest in. they could have asked each other what all of their hobbies are and tried to find common ground, but knowing sam, she most likely wouldn't be willing to try 90% of freddie,s hobbies except for reading and maybe hacking. the fact that sam actually tried to recreate the recipe for blue dog soda in sam and cat on her own and came relatively close on the first try means that she might have a promising career in the soda making business with practice.

Sam was never humbled for what she did to Freddie, her behaviour never changed towards him she could make amends actually DO something for him, apologise, realise her bad behavior towards him. Like that N.E.R.D. camp thing where she ruined his FUTURE??? That could've been a good start. I could see why she would like him, not the other way around though.
After the 2nd kiss episode Freddie could've gotten a sudden back bone where he contemplates if dating a bully like Sam was actually worth it, not just, "he's my boyfriend so beating him up is cute now lol" He could've rejected her and she could've actually proven herself to him, and start to treat him like an individual whom she cares about, because she did NOT before. Her genuineness could've been what attracted him. As a bonus Freddie could've helped her character development.
But it's too late now so whatever

Honestly, I think the enemies to friends to love interests is part of the charm of Seddie. Creddie is mainly based on two things, Freddie's crush on Carly and Carly's survivor's guilt or whatever it's called when Freddie saves her from breaking her leg and her arm. However, if you watch the show enough, you can see how Sam starts to get jealous around them and potentially sabotages their relationship. But she isn't doing it out of malicious intent. She's actually trying to save Freddie from the heartache of when his heroic actions fade away from his and Carly's relationship. So Sam does have her moments, she just hides under the tough exterior that was assumably made by Sam having to deal with a mother who really doesn't know how to parent. And this is why I think Seddie would work. Sam deals with problems either by herself or with Carly, and Freddie's problems are usually based around Sam or his mother. As strange as it is to think of things in this way, Sam already has an idea of how to be an adult, While Freddie and Carly are still sheltered at home. So maybe Seddie isn't as toxic as everyone makes it sound. That is my opinion and my view on this.

Theyre friends but the only real thing they have in common that they both openly and willingly enjoy is their friendship with carly and the webshow.
Frankly I'm over the whole fighting like a married couple thing too just as someone who's parents argued all the time, couples fight but a man and a woman fighting all the time isn't cute and its sad that so many relationship problems don't get taken seriously becauee people just think its cute

I saw no worthwhile romantic chemistry even. It was all exaggerated and dramatic just to please their fandom and thereafter show how much they won't work out after their spur of the moment conflicting fleeting feelings burst.
Nathan kress confirmed in an interview years ago even before Jennette stopped her acting career that Freddie was always to end up with Carly as he never stopped loving her and she too would realize her feelings for him as even the final episode had Freddie and Carly kiss, this revival directly continues on that..and seddie was just a fling that was entertaining and played out to please their fandom base a bit but they were too abusive and toxic and that fizzled out long ago as they were never meant to last and they never got back together after that break up in the original iCarly. In Sam and Cat, Nathan also confirmed Freddie never dated Sam again, they just met up for old times' sake and then he went back to Seattle and they knew better not to try dating again.

I don’t know about y’all but I wouldn’t date someone who’s been bullying me for years and I’m afraid of. That’s just me tho I guess but if it was the other way around Freddie bullying sam everyone would be freaking out. Idk their relationship just normalizes abusive/toxic relationships.

Please do Leo and the rest of the Ninja Turtles and other characters! I know it was the least voted, but I was so excited to see it in the poll because TMNT 2012 is my ultimate show (it’s so underrated) and I would love to get your insight on its characterization and plot, please 🥺🙏🏻

Yup. They were actually working pretty well as a couple. Sure they were arguing a lot, but that was kinda their thing since the very beginning (would have been weird to *not* see them argue for too long) and something they could've worked out if given the time to develope their relationship

Does not matter Freddie should of did what Gibby did to Sam and said to her that he was just not interested in her not caring if Sam gets her feelings hurt or not after all Sam herself is a bully to him and most other people not to mention her terrible disgusting eating habits and personal hygiene realistically Freddie should of not even wanted to be her friend period yeah

Key point: I actually remember the plot line where Sam deliberately sabotaged Freddie’s chances of getting into college and this was when they were dating. Is trust and personal boundaries even a thing in this relationship???
I don’t understand why anyone supports this ship. Is it Bc they’re attractive together????

It's probably mostly because Nathan and Jennette had great chemistry together, they were really close and that somehow rubbed off on their characters in my opinion

@@moiii_01 Big disagree. Freddie and Carly give off sibling energy, whereas Sam and him always had this special spark. There's a reason the majority of the fandom shipped Seddie and not Creddie

@@maer_chen Sam and Freddie were literally a brother and his annoying lil sis that humiliated and bullied him for no reason but just for her(Sam) entertainment lmao. They gave all the sibling-like Frenemies vibes possible and bickered non-stop before during and even after their failed attempt at romance
