#207 Well, for the avid Brass listener, this weeks programme was a Kiddy in the Sweet shop affair. Some technical challenges, all in a days work for the players, that religiously commit to a fantastic movement of cultural brass music. Quality radio yet again to delight the lobes, and not only brass aficionados', there are many more listeners from all walks of life tuned in. Genial host, in great form with yet another batch of legalese from over the pond. With his calm vocals soothing to the ear, and very knowledgeable comments. Everyone have a great week from yours truly in Ukraine.
Was just pondering Mr H, it must take some time for you and your trusty producer to put these shows together. Hosting, linking together, checking copyrights, answering emails, etc, etc, etc. I should imagine for little,if no financial gain, basically for the love of the genre, and the cohesion of the fraternity…………….Fair play to yourself and the Sam Harrison’s, Mark Wilkinsons, Roger Websters, bands persons, Whit friday/ church walk organisers, to name only a few……….it’s a never ending list of folks giving hour after hour, basically for the love of it. Fair play and thank you all, but especially you Mr H, cheers buddy 👍🏻
Thanks Richard, much appreciated. I can confirm that the show has no finance attached to it at all. It is indeed done for the love of brass bands and the people who follow them.
Fantastically brilliant selection of music this week _ tks. so much. Even your mother would have known the first test piece !! Hoping you have not forgotten my last two requests from last Jan !! Perhaps Lift Divine is too Deep to be included sometime ???? . However, again tks for a lovely concert !!
