Very effective video on Ground Clearance. Most of us middle class car lovers drive our sedan cars .Car comfort and driving pleasure and cost effetiveness and value for money is also very important and automatic sedan is best answer for majority city and occassional highway drive like once or twice a month.👍
I already explored few places in my honda city (4th generation) chakrata, gangotri, yamunotri, kedarnath, badrinath upto Joshimath, auli, manali, mumbai, Goa from Noida.
Well in the city as well when driving behind a sedan it just slows down near random potholes so the chances of it getting rear ended is high... I have seen instances where I was tailgating a sedan and they just slows down out of now where when i over take them I find that they saw a pot hole and was trying to get over it slowly.. So i realised if this is the case then it is going to be difficult in a long run for sedans
Thanks for the information sir. Appreciate your efforts. Me own 2020 CITY 5G V MT , on city and on bad roads even just super comfortable n plush ride it offers, but on potholes n village roads lot of care to be taken to avoid underbelly scraping. Especially when car is full of occupants n luggage.
Roads are good in metro cities. In tier 2-3cities speed breakers are not built properly. Lack of engineering is observed and hence sedans and hatchbacks have alot of problems on such breakers. Also road conditions in tier 2-3cities is not good. Every time the sedan driver will have to be cautious about each pothole in road. So SUV for such area is good.
Sedan is meant for city ride, when some go out of town, no one knows road condition because it's dynamic, there is a risk of damage of underbody. If someone is capable of affording multiple cars then I agree one of the car must be a sedan. But in case of having only one car, it should be a SUV which can be used without worry anywhere.
@@iamgogolnothing beats the pain of driving lengthy sedans in city traffics and having to worry about road conditions if planning for trip out of city !!!
@@naveenkumarrajo8130 so the car choice become simple. If you are addicted to fun, then go for Sedans and hatchbacks. If addicted to fear then go for raised cars.
Besides the ground clearance, another issue is with the approach angle of a sedan.. because of long snout a sedan tends to hit it's front bumper in the deep potholes whereas the suvs have no such issue

Honda over Tata anyday. But that’s just me. Test drive both the cars and then pick a winner. After you have driven both the cars, look for other aspects such as service cost and after sales experience. Tata still has a long way to go. For me, the engine itself is a deal breaker when I compare Tata with Honda.

Hi Shubham Bhai....Nice Video..👏🏻 I'm planning a City VX CVT...I have a little concern about the tyre size.... Compared to the rivals City have smaller tyres... Should I upgrade the tyres..?? Appreciate your expertise on this...
Thanks for your comment Venkat. VX CVT, good choice btw! Yes the 15 inchers are on the smaller side compared to the competition. Wider tyres do provide extra grip specially while cornering. However, I haven’t upgraded them yet. Will do once these tyres run out. The difference is not a deal breaker in my opinion. I mean you can easily live with these. Infact they aid in fuel efficiency. Do check out my review of the Honda city 5th Gen if you haven’t. It’ll give you good insight. Shubham.
Hi, good info, i own a Honda city 5th gen ZX, it is very good car. Only problem is that the engine cover which is raised at a height of 145mm from the ground scrapes on bad roads. Did you experience the same on hills & bad roads?
I can understand where you’re coming from. So whenever there’s a pothole you think may scrap the front underbody, just turn your car towards the left/right depending on the situation. Let one tyre go into the pothole first and then the other. That way it will never scrape. Personally, I always use this trick whenever I think there’s a huge pothole which might scrap the underbody. Haven’t had any issues. Good luck. Shubham.
@@ShubhamSainii Thanks, was using the same technique but at times tend to forget 😅 I hope the engine is not that low, scraping the cover is fine but not the engine.
I think Brezza will be a better buy over Ciaz. Since ciaz seems outdated now and also brezza should be a safer car. The previous gen brezza had scored 4 stars and I have had an episode with ciaz myself where in the impact was merely at a speed of 20 kmph and the damage reached the engine bay.

I can understand your confusion. I just got the 4th service done of my CITY. Video will be up soon. All you need to do is just get it serviced timely and it never disappoints. Can’t say that about VW/Škoda.

Manual anyday. CVT however is convenient specially if you get stuck in long traffic a lot. However, misses the punch that is quite evident with the manual.
@@dipjyotitalukdar9598 I certainly will. Until that happens let me share a bit of my experience when I drove the CITY eHEV of one of my relatives. The convenience was unparalleled and your left foot will thank you however, when you will floor the accelerator the car won’t accelerate as quickly. Specially it won’t put you back in the seat. CVT is great, but if you like to change gears and keep control of things or you simply like the high revving nature of the ivtec motor, you’ll be far better off with the manual. If all this doesn’t bother you and you want a simple easy car which will take you from point A to B seamlessly with your left leg at rest, go for CVT. That being said, CVT does pack a punch, but it’s not as good as the manual. Hope this helps.

Normal speed breakers pe koi dikkat nahi hai.. Zarurat se zada bade brakers ho toh Gaadi ko tilt karna padta hai taaki ek tyre peele jaye breaker pe. Aur ye cheez applicable hai agar zarurat se zada kharab rasta ho toh bhi.
