DIY - How To Fix A Clogging Grass Catcher

How to do it yourself, an easy and cheap way to stop your grass catcher from clogging. The grass catcher on my Craftsman PYT 9000 (MTD) Lawn Mower kept clogging until I did this easy fix.

The next requirement is a clean deck for air flow and dry grass if possible.

It's been really wet here as of late.
Believe it or not, I had cleaned the mower deck just before mowing. It only took a minute to make that mess.
Even with all that grass stuck to the bottom of the deck, the new high-lift blades were able to blow hard enough to stop the clogging.
I mowed for nearly three hours and not once did it clog.

I've been looking for this video! I'm going to order some as my chute clogs constantly, especially if I let the grass get too long. I've been curious about the hybrid high lift mulching blades as well.

Clean all that caked grass off underneath deck will greatly improve air-grass flow

Probably should scrape your deck while you have the blades up homie.
