    Just installed my new bagger system on my S240 and went very smooth. So glad I saw Sharon Robertson's comment about removing the standard grass chute on the mower deck. Looks great and even better, works great! Thanks again for the great video.

    One thing you neglected to cover, which sharon robertson below ran into, is the metal deflector where the grass comes out. It needs to be raised up in order for the bottom chute pin to reach the hole. In order to do this, we needed to drop the mower deck all the way to the floor, pull the metal deflector out and up and it clicks up. Then the bottom chute fits in. Just wanted to throw that out. Other than that, fantastic video, everything else went on like a champ. Thanks

    Thank you for this video! I bought a used bagger for my church which is on a tight budget. My JD mower is an older model, and I couldn't figure out how to attach the chute to the deck. After watching your installation video, I figured out that I could drill a 1/4" hole in the front deck floater wheel support, and it fits very nicely. There's a little gap, but it's cleaning the yard wonderfully. Also, I relocated the pin on the upper part of the bottom chute, so that the two pieces fit together with less torsion. This is a great product, and your video was extremely helpful!

    Awesome video. The only part we struggled with before watching your video was the bags were packed inside out and we didn’t realize at first why the bags didn’t fit all the way in flush and the top would not close😂 after we figured that out and put the bags right side in the information in your video about attaching the lower chute was extremely valuable. We did not need to remove any of the deck parts. There was a little lock symbol to pull the lower shield on the deck out to unlock and raise the lower shield which made installing the chute much easier. We have a brand new S120❤

    Thank you, sir. I just assembled and installed my BUC10284 ($419 @ Home Depot) using the instructions you provided here. You provided great information that made my job very easy.
    I ran into a brief trouble spot trying to raise the metal discharge guard under the plastic discharge guard, but gave it a tug and it popped fully open, allowing me to get a nice, snug seal over the discharge opening. Once I got it properly positioned, I was impressed at how tight a seal it made.

    I'm saddled with the older BG20776 and forked over for the LP47167. I take it the BUC10284 is not compatible with the LP47167 since the later is discontinued? Think now I've got a rare item in the world of S240's! Note: the hand lever on the LP47167 finds low hanging tree and stout bushes very easily. I've fought that lower tube chute until exhaustion! Finally, it's in position! I appreciate that you too, Brent, had a time with the lower tube!

    Great video, much better than reading the install directions. One question concerning the blades. I assume I have standard blades on my E110. Are the blades that come with the bagger mulching blades and can I just use these blades for cutting the grass and picking up leaves, or can I just leave the blades on that came with the E110.

    • @247parts
      @247parts  Год назад

      The blades that come with the kit are high lift blades that help with bagging. Your standard blades will be better for mulching leaves and they will work with your bagger too.

    I purchased this for my S140 with the 48” deck. The box says it fits this deck. Unfortunately JD left out the manual bag with the brackets but that’s another story. After getting them from a local JD dealer if found this video. It was a big help. However in my deck there is no bracket to fasten the rubber strap. Do I just drill. Hole in the deck?

  • @anjamesonusn

    I also have the chute kit, which was necessary to fit the tubes to my 42" S240. I noticed the blades are different in each kit. While both blade sets fit the 42" deck, the bagger kit blades seem to have less of a blade (sharp portion is longer in the chute kit). The chute kit mount hole is round while the bagger kit mount hole looks like a sprocket shape. They both seem to have the same angle. Which is better to use?

    • @247parts
      @247parts  2 года назад +1

      I would use the ones that come with the bagger kit. The longer blade will mulch the grass before it goes up the tube making it harder to be sucked up the tube. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Brent, now that I have used the Bagger System I am very glad that I have it. The Bagger System has saved me a ton of hours from picking up leaves for mulching as well. Money well spent!
    Question, would you advise against removing the Deck Spring Assisted Chute before installing the Bagger Kit? This would accommodate getting on and off the tractor from both sides while the deck in separated from the tractor and before installing the Bagger Kit deck attachment. This would be the ideal time to remove the chute if one intends to use the Bagger System year around?

    • @247parts

    Great video. Thanks for editing and keeping it short. Question....how do you get the metal deflector shield up and out of the way for the lower tube? I can't it high enough to attach the tube. You cheated...you edited that part out ;-) I just got my S120 and still learning about it.

      I ran into the exact same problem, Brian. I first thought it needed to be removed somehow, but that wasn't the fix. All I had to do was give it a good firm yank to pull it up out of the way. It gave a out a good pop!, and snapped into the upper position, out of the way, making it easy to put the chute in place.
