I have a bird family for the 3rd year in a row build their nest in the same spot on our front porch way up high in a little protected space. They will knock down the nest from the previous year😂 They are so used to us coming and going. The momma bird just sits in the nest. I love watching them and always say "hi momma!" Hi Caroline, you always look beautiful but I'm delighted that you're happy losing some weight. It definitely helps improve your mood and you get more energy. Great haul. Don't worry about the robins, they're fine. They live quite happily with humans. If they felt any threat they wouldn't build a nest so close. I've had robins for years. I love them. You could be missing them coming back with food if the chicks are born as they eat constantly at that age!!! Looking forward to part 2 of the haul!!! X

I had a robin build a nest in a floral arrangement, in a basket, on my front door. I noticed it when I inspected the basket to see why the floral were all pushed foward. I put a big sign on the inside of the door to not open the door! There is another door at the end of the porch, which we use more often anyway. I watched the progression and took pictures. The eggs were pretty and the little birdies were so cute. I caught the last one leaving the nest as we were leaving that mother's day weekend. About a month or so after that, I was sweeping the porch when a little robin landed on the porch walkway. He gave a little hop looked at me for awhile and flew away. I always think it was my gradbirdie stopping to say thank you.
Terry, I would’ve done the same exact thing! I prohibited my family from going outside on the back deck all yesterday. I believe one family of birds is in one nest still, however, the other bird decided to bail which I understand. But she works so very hard on that nest and I feel terribly. 😞

I use an antique wash basin as a bird 🐦 bath. I put some stones on the bottom so they have something to stand on. I love all your plants 🪴, I’m a plant person as well. I’m applying to have my backyard designated as a certified wildlife habitat. 🐰🦊🐸🐦🐦⬛🐞

So cool! I think they like those fern plants,Kristi! This is the first year I have hanging fern plants and the first year. I’ve attracted birds building nests in them!
Every spring/summer i would hang 2 ferns on my front porch. I would get the same house finch couple make their nest. I didn't do it this year because the blue jays would eat the eggs. They nest in both the ferns and one year i had 2 couples on either side of the fern. That's why you hear all that singing in the back ground. They are building their nest. Birds love ferns to nest in.

The activity on your deck will spook the Robin parents and they may abandon the babies. They may be young, inexperienced parents having chosen a nesting spot right there. Bless them 🙏💟🐦
Thankfully, the Robin nest didn’t have eggs. We have a second nest with one egg so far. Fingers crossed they don’t abandon their babies.
Temu weird sizing as I bought xxl t shirts too small but in pjs 2xl are perfect but some are bigger. Pjs are great, pink leopard print and another set lounge set with leopard print pocket black top leopard pants
