4:58 used the flat back method to make a cal king gfg quilt. Started with traditional sewing but found it unwieldy. Loved flat back and made each stitch secure with a knot. Took me 2 plus years.
I agree with you just catching a small amount on the EPP sewing after washing your quilt a good few times I find it does have a tendency for the stitches to open up a-bit , making a gap. Did you glue your paper in place or stitch ?I prefer to glue, as I find it easier that way to take the paper pieces out when finished.
Hi Holli, thx for sharing this stitch! I'll definitely try it. I've just started and have been trying to find the best stitch for me to use! Thanks from Texas!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Jeffrey Frank i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Once the shape is connected on all sides. Leaving the papers in as long as possible is best in my opinion. It helps with stability. I’ve found it gets hard to handle with the papers in for the entire project. I eventually start taking them out to help with that issue. I hope this helps
I have been doing it that way as well , but every 5 or y stitches I pull the thread tight so the stitches don't show on the front.. makes it s.oother tooo
This is one of the best tutorials ive seen! Thank you 😊
I've been doing it this way, but without the tape. Thanks for the tape idea--it will be especially helpful when joining the first two pieces.
Beautiful!!!!!! Thank you for this post😊

What causes one side to be longer or shorter than the other?
Thank you!
How do you handle it when it gets huge? When do you start removing papers?

What thread weight are you using? And is your thread doubled?
I have been doing it that way as well , but every 5 or y stitches I pull the thread tight so the stitches don't show on the front.. makes it s.oother tooo
