    For the 70 years I have been sewing I have never seen a knot done like that. Love it. Thanks for the great video.

    I have never tried English paper piecing but I do appliqué and enjoy it. You made it look so easy that I now think that I will give it a try. Thank you for sharing.

    Jeanette I recently bought papers and a hexagon but it’s a 2” one but I’m going to give it a go. I love the idea of using up the scraps I also have a 1” hexagon but I don’t have the papers for it and it’s small for me. I look forward to using my 2” hexagon pieces in ways you’ve shown on here and other videos thank you so much for the introduction to paper piecing.❤😊

    Another great video tutorial. I use wonder clips/binding clips to hold my EPP pieces together when joining them and when basting my fabric to the templates. I find that it reduces tension and cramping in my hand.

    I have attempted EPP, but so far, I haven't been very successful. Watching your tutorials, I may try again someday. You make it seem easier than other videos i have watched. Those snowflakes were super cute. I enjoy watching and listening to you. You are so calming, and I learn something in the process. Your channel has become my favorite for quilting.

    Thank you for this lesson. I put my EPP away a few years ago not really knowing what I was doing. Now, I'm able to see the missteps I made and can really work on a project, especially as I have a cutting machine as well to precisely cut papers. Thanks again for the fresh start! 😊

    I am new to this technique and it was very interesting and very informative.. but u left i part out ...how do u cover the back of u r project when do u take out the paper?

    • @SewingStudio
      @SewingStudio  9 месяцев назад

      Hello,
      Jeanette said she leaves all the papers in until she's ready to use them in the final project. She then snips the tacking thread and take the papers out, either all at once or as she goes if doing appliqué. The piece then gets backed like a normal quilt, with wadding and fabric.

    I had a friend give me a small bag of hexies and have been wondering how to do the process. This video was very helpful. But, do you leave the paper pieces in there ? If not, how do you remove them? Thank you for the help...your projects are beautiful. Do you have patterns for them?

    • @expatpiskie
      @expatpiskie 9 месяцев назад

      I leave the paper pieces in until the very last minute. It helps to keep the fabric stable. Only once I've finished & I'm ready to start making the sandwich do I take the papers out.
