People forget how good he was in the field when he was younger. He might have been the best defensive LF of all time.
What?!? Jim Thome is the least likely to be on roids. His body did not change at all while he played. He had a beautiful swing with near perfect launch angle and grown man power.
Thome I don’t think even went to the gym tbh. All he did was hit HRs. Zero athletic ability. Was never the best player on his team. I had Justice rated above Thome as a kid in my infallible and unquestionable hierarchy of 90s baseball players. Thome is one of the lowest rated players in my rankings who is in the HOF. Lofton, Justice, Belle, Ramirez were all better players. Thome was not a good fielder, did not hit for average, so bad at moving runners over. He got on base a lot, but ran like he was carrying a piano. Zero impact outside of his ABs which means he’s not a good player in my infallible rankings. He’s not in my HOF.
@@davruck1agreed. I think they started adding to many good players to the hall. Thome was pretty good to me and played a long career. He was not great imo. They started running out of greats imo. Then too many got implicated with roids

Justice is spot on! The media hates Bonds. He was a Hall of Famer in 98. I don’t care what anyone says show me where steroids make your hand eye coordination better. He is the greatest player I ever saw play…period! Keeping him out takes nothing away from his greatness!!
Making it all the more egregious that he cheated IMO. I was a humongous fan of his from the late eighties into the late 90s. Once he obviously started cheating, he lost me. I don't give guys a pass because they were great BEFORE they cheated, because they still cheated.
@@thechi2848 Was he caught? Yes. He admits to it in the publicly available court transcript from the 2003. Google search "Court case 3:07-cr-00732-SI, document 35" and you'll easily find the transcript. The part about the steroids begins on page 25 and continues on for a couple dozen pages.
@5:30 is the issue with Bonds. He absolutely did not need supplements to be one of the all time greats. He had everything in the first parts of his career and didn’t need anything “extra” to be a great play. The problem is how obvious he grew at his age. To be able to work that hard at his age, travel, practice, grow a few hat and shoe sizes and not break down just doesn’t compute.
Bonds was an absolutely great player. Not only was he an exceptional hitter well before the rood era hit, and his own obvious use, but he was a threat on the basepaths and a plus defender in every OF spot he played. I personally believe he put together a HoF worthy career prior to 2000, but is that enough after the roid era? That I cannot say. If I had a vote, I think I would eventually vote Barry in… but not until it was his last ballot eligible year. As for Pete, the moment the MLB got into bed with betting agencies, thus creating the same manner of potential corruption that Pete was accused of…. Pete Rose and any of the HoF worthy Black Sox should have been put in.
The head swells for one thing, and new muscles grow that aren't normal, plus you can compare features and easily tell, so they are going to make ones you can't tell maybe.

DJ is my all time favorite player and I know he’s gotta protect the fraternity or whatever, but BONDS used steroids, the balco documentary confirmed that- he also used “the clear”, this is confirmed as well. Also aside from the juice, he was a legendary horrible human being and teammate. Made Ty Cobb look like Mr rogers. Bonds is where he needs to be, at home reflecting on his bad decisions
Other baseball players that had unreal talent to be a special baseball player such as Ken Griffty jr..Derek Jetter..Nolan Ryan..and so on..they didnt need some illegal substance to elebate there game..Bonds however was a skinny guy fir the Pirates..when he went to Gaints and the guy just got big fast..turn his flyballs he had for Pirates into homeruns for Gaints..if you did any kind of enhance to improve your game illegally such as Bonds did so no he does not go to Hall of Fame
DJ nailed it when he said Rose and Bonds will get in when they're dead. The hall definitely wants those names in but they aren't about to give either of them a live microphone at the ceremony.
Oddly enough Barry Bonds probably would be in the Hall of Fame if he had signed with the Braves in 1993, especially when you consider he was almost traded there in 1992.
Steroids followed Nolan Ryan. Nobody speaks on it. Go look at it. Barry Bonds is the best hitter ever. I was in college baseball in 03-06.. ppl was juicing.. if i could have got to AA. I wood have😂😂
“I was pull college in 03-06.” Yet you struggle to formulate sentences, and you don’t know the difference between “wood” and “would”. You wouldn’t even be allowed on a college campus. Get out of here with this BS. Oh, and Nolan was not once accused of steroid use. Not one single time. In fact, Tom House has stated that he tried to get Nolan to use them, and Nolan threatened to report him for it.
What I hate is that people who never played and probably couldn’t even throw a baseball or swing a bat are the ones voting. I think former major league players should vote because they understand what it takes to be a major league player. Big Mac should be in too and Sammy Sosa Manny Ramirez and countless others from that great era Albert Belle Sheffield on and on
Bonds had a chance to get in 2 years ago. It was his first year after 10 years on the writters ballot and his contemporaries did NOT vote him in and it wasnt close. 12 player vote and he needed 9, i believe his total was less then 3. The voters were all players who played against him and they played him a lot. There were 4 braves that voted and thats how mcgrif got elected to the hof. Even the other players dont like him. Personally i vote him in and its a crime. Selig is in the hof, let that sink in.
People should read the Balco book because it explains why Bonds started juicing. He was at the MLB all star game in Japan in 2000. He saw all these average players on the juice creeping up to his numbers, so he started cycling to show that they were not at his level. it worked. His numbers went off the charts from 2001 to 2004. It is the same with Lance Armstrong.

@@rafaelmuniz5467 Leaving him off my short list was an oversight. I won't say anything bad about Griffey, he is one of my favorite players ever, great all around talent, and likely a top 15 all time player... but I still think Bonds was clearly a cut above. People forget how good he was in the field when he was younger. He might have been the best defensive LF of all time.
Griffey and Pujols clear bonds as hitters but I agree with the overall game hes a top 10 position player of all time
Barry Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame. Jim Thome is in and no one will ever convince me he wasn't on steroids.
Did he call David Justice Keyshawn @3:27..LoL
That was all time lol
Bonds should 100% be in the HOF, anybody who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.
Big papi, arod got popped in the hall of fame on that juice
Alex ain’t in the Hall of Fame Bro but Big Papi definitely is tho
wrong big papi never test positive that was proven too be false
This was a good convo. Bring him back to discuss other topics.
I’m a lifelong Dodgers fan. I hate the Giants. As a huge Mark McGwire fan (with all his cards from my childhood), I hate Barry Bonds. Seems like a lot of people don’t like Barry Bonds. That said, Barry Bonds should absolutely be in the HOF. Period. (Pete Rose, too)
David Justice hit the home run, only run in a 1-0 deciding game 6 of the '95 of the World Series with Tom Glavine securing the win. Man hit the home run after saying if the Braves lost this game, they'd run the team out the city. Salute 🫡
He hit a hr against the Mariners. This was with the Yankees.
@@mkhanman12345 you are wrong, Google it.
David Ortiz got in the hall and tested positive
Awww. When he brought up people on the list that’s in the Hall. And when called out he said I don’t wanna say anything. But YOU brought it up !!!!
Hearing and listening to David. Reminds me of being a 10 years old and copying his batting stance in little league.. cool memories for sure
Justice is spot on! The media hates Bonds. He was a Hall of Famer in 98. I don’t care what anyone says show me where steroids make your hand eye coordination better. He is the greatest player I ever saw play…period! Keeping him out takes nothing away from his greatness!!
Don't think so 😂
Steroids makes your stronger not to increase your hand eye coordination. He simply turned doubles into home runs
David Justice STOOD ON BIDNESS!! 💪🏿💪🏿
Barry didn't need steroids, he was great before the accusations.
Making it all the more egregious that he cheated IMO. I was a humongous fan of his from the late eighties into the late 90s. Once he obviously started cheating, he lost me. I don't give guys a pass because they were great BEFORE they cheated, because they still cheated.
@@snerdterguson Was he ever caught cheating? Never tested positive, but you say he cheated?
@@thechi2848 Come on man, it’s obvious he was on the juice.
I'm not a huge baseball fan but I'm really liking these clips with David Justice. Him and Key have a good rapport.
Thank you! Baseball from a black perspective! My son is biracial so I needed this topic
Ivan Rodriguez was on the list and made the HOF...
The head swells for one thing, and new muscles grow that aren't normal, plus you can compare features and easily tell, so they are going to make ones you can't tell maybe.
Bonds absolutely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!!! All those writers who voted him MVP after he was suspected on steroids why did they still vote him for the MVP? Yet these same voters now don’t want to vote him for the Hall??
If ANYONE tells you. "I'm not trying to set you up" before you had a chance to say those words. The INTENT is CLEARLY there.
I thought it was just ME - I'm black and baseball is my favorite sport and have been watching since 1970. I been telling people for years they gonna put Charlie (pete rose) Hustle in after he dies!!! Barry was a BEAST and so was Roger - 3 of the GREATEST EVER!!!
David Justice should have his own show. He’s great.
Barry Bonds is the Goat🥱
Barry Bonds is the greatest player I’ve ever seen. Period. That run from 2001 to 2004 is and will always be unmatched 💯💯💯
I didn't know Iced T played for the Yankees 😂 ⚾
David Justice, bro, thanks. You say it like it is. 👍🏼
It’s guys who popped test in the Hall aka Tim Raines
Yes
More justice please 😂🔥
Point blank: we'll never see another player like Barry Bonds ever again in the MLB. Between 2001-2004 Bonds was in video game mode
He won the MVP, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove in 90, 92 and 93... That is created player achievements right there
He was on steroid mode 😂
This was my first time hearing David Justice talk. He’s great on the mic
We can’t just pick and choose- biggio, bagwell, piazza, thome are in HOF- there were rumors about them- if you’re Great you should be in- to not have bonds, Clemons, Ramirez, and Rodriguez in HOF is ridiculous and makes baseball HOF a joke
David justice needs to be on some type of podcast or tv for real
BARRY BONDS .. SHOELESS JOE JACKSON .. ROGER CLEMENS .. PETE ROSE .. GARY SHEFFIELD .. MARK MCGWIRE .. SAMMY SOSA .. MANNY RAMIREZ .. RAFAEL PALMEIRO .. ALEX RODRIGUEZ .. JUAN GONZALEZ .. ALL SHOULD BE IN THE MLB ⚾ HALL OF FAME ..
Facts all should be in
They shouldn’t, cheaters shouldn’t be allowed in.
Barry is the best baseball player i have ever seen. Period. It's a shame he's not in there. Accusations(unproven) shouldn't be held against you.
Barry was absolutely a solidified HOFer before anyone alleged he started using. He was a 3x MVP with multiple GGs. For David Oritz to be in the hall and Barry Bonds not to be is completely and totally illogical and absurd. I hope the old timers committee rights a lot of these wrongs, but they probably won't.
David Ortiz is on a few lists. He still got in.
He’s the best hitter I’ve ever seen so I would say so
Man , we must protect David Justice at all costs ✊🏿🔥🔥
Barry was a beast!!!!
LOOK at that list & just how MANY Yankees players was on that list ? Did they take AWAY any of there Champion ships titles , NO ! You think the trainers , C [ TORRE ] the owner didn't know any thing about this , the Com's [ Bud ] who is also in the HOF , PLEASE . You better think again .
Barry bonds is the best player I’ve ever seen.
Me too !
Why is Commissioner Selig in the HOF because Sosa, McGwire and Bonds where nuking the balls in the stands.
This is definitely Keyshawn’s lane! Great show
Other baseball players that had unreal talent to be a special baseball player such as Ken Griffty jr..Derek Jetter..Nolan Ryan..and so on..they didnt need some illegal substance to elebate there game..Bonds however was a skinny guy fir the Pirates..when he went to Gaints and the guy just got big fast..turn his flyballs he had for Pirates into homeruns for Gaints..if you did any kind of enhance to improve your game illegally such as Bonds did so no he does not go to Hall of Fame
Wait wait wait…hold up. HOLD UP. 3:27 Did Keyshawn accidentally call David Justice, Keyshawn? 😅😅😅
Barry the 🐐
david justice got that cool jazz uncle swag
Barry is the greatest player I have ever seen
Are you serious 😂
Name, names, then@@jamesdavis8937
DJ nailed it when he said Rose and Bonds will get in when they're dead. The hall definitely wants those names in but they aren't about to give either of them a live microphone at the ceremony.
Oddly enough Barry Bonds probably would be in the Hall of Fame if he had signed with the Braves in 1993, especially when you consider he was almost traded there in 1992.
I agree. Should have came to the A
He’d be too busy winning championships to worry about taking steroids! 😂
Keshawn calls david "Keyshawn"😅😂😂
@@Unlitedsoul you got me 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ I didn't graduate 🤣🤣🤣.
Nolan Ryan is the godfather.
@Unlitedsoul
Grammar police👮♂️👮♀️ Alert😂🤡
_Juiced_ by Jose Canseco. 📚
Canseco messed all of them up.
I enjoyed this conversation.
1:25 Justice kno how the game played playa 😂😂😂
Bonds the GOAT...
Cincinnatis own David Justice 💪🏿💪🏿 I see you repping them bengals
Am I trippin or is Keyshawn asking questions to himself and David Justice?
Barry Bonds is hands down the homerun king! Give this man his rightful place in Cooperstown!!!
Man yall chemistry is gold. David need to be a regular
David Justice is a blast from the past, dude needs to get out more and share his thoughts!!
I love it when people make stupid statements and then freeze when you ask them to back it up.
Went to a Giants game when it was Pac-Bell park still, Barry Bonds had an at Bat, ive never seen whole stadium stop what they doin to watch the at bat, i mean people left the concession lines to go watch the whole concourse stopped it was pretty crazy
