I would cut off the plastic clips that come on the tow rope in the seadoo kit. Put on metal snap hooks or something. I bought one when I got my ski in 2018. The first time I used it to tow, one of the plastic hooks broke. Granted I was towing a small boat, but still, you never know who you are going to help on the water. A signal flag and a signal mirror are also good, even in inland waters. Having a dedicated heaving line in a throw bag, and using it only for rescue is a good thing to have. Doesn’t take up any space, and can save a life. Do not use it for towing or anything else except water rescue. They are cheap. So is a throwable PFD, can get them for under 20 bucks. If boating in popular areas, it handy to have incase of someone else in the water. I carry about 2 different first aid kits on my ski. One of the small ones in the little case and then another one that I keep in the dry storage under the seat that is larger. A good flashlight is always good, not the cheap one that comes in the kits. I gave up carrying dock bumpers. It’s a toy, it’s going to get beat up even with the bumpers. Having a pen or sharpie, in its own bag incase it leaks, along with keeping a small post it pad is also good incase you need to write something down, like in the event of an accident. Sunscreen is also a must, and lip protection, something with high SPF. Good cheap glasses you don’t care if you loose them, and maybe a floating glasses lanyard for them. Extra PWC key in the tool kit. If you don’t have a way to charge your phone, a battery pack and cable for your phone. A small battery booster pack is helpful to have too. If doing off coast rides, a marine radio, a handheld floating one, and even a locator beacon if needed and you can afford the extra costs. A towel or two in a dry bag and an extra hat is also nice. Everything except for the beacon and radio should be a must for all PWC owners. Lake Powell is one place I want to go. But I love Lake Havasu. And I am in So Cal.
If you ride in ocean surf, ocean waves, or ocean rollers found in the inlets, keep a 20 foot bungie onboard to tie yourself to the ski. I always do this. If you fall off you need a way to get back to the ski. We had a couple of locals die when they got separated from their skis
I would add taking your phone, a marine radio, and wallet w credit card on every outing. If you need a tow, marine radio and credit card is essential. If you get a marine radio, get an MMSI# and make sure the radio supports DSC/AIS
@@frugalera just depends where your riding. I hardly ever use or need a radio bc majority of the time I have signal with my phone or am riding with other people. But you can never go wrong with having one of its in your budget.
You're right about what to bring. I carry a wallet with ID, Credit Card, and PWC/Boaters Licence that she should have mentioned. I also have a floating handheld marine radio because cellphone service is not always present in some places
I love how the US Coast Guard requires you to have a fire extinguisher on a personal watercraft. Like I am going to use it when I am standing on something so small... I am going to jump off and let that b**** burn. If I am lucky I might jump off the side so it rolls over and has a chance of putting the fire out. If I am unlucky I am probably going to be thrown from the thing anyway and dont have to worry about burning with the thing.
Great content girl. Wife & I just picked up a pair of FX HO's and are looking forward to getting back into Florida intercoastal riding. You've helped fill in a few blanks on a good "kit" to have along for our rides. Don't forget cooler, drinks/ food of choice...
In U.S. coastal waters and in the Great Lakes you are required to carry an orange Coast Guard approved distress flag. Some states including Ohio and New York require it on any lake. The fire extinguisher should say "Coast Guard Approved" on it. I've seen the Coast Guard conduct safety checks on boats, haven't seen them stop a PWC yet, but if they stop you, you need to be able to produce all required equipment.
In Canada, most of these items are required by law to be onboard. Don’t have them, you get a ticket. Never leave without communication whether it’s a cell phone or marine radio.
Me and a buddy have been riding motorcycles all our life coast to coast every year but want to do the jet ski from north east to Florida then over to the Bahamas, we have been reading as much as we can about it and thanks for the video

Whistel isn't not requrired in all states. When I bought my Spark in McKinney they dropped that ball on me about a whistle and the Game Warden does check if they pull you over. In my 19 years riding in California, Arizona and Nevada a whistle has never been required. I just bought a Jetblaster in Long Beach Califorina and in CA even to this day a whistle is not required, HOWEVER all persons who operate a vessel must have a watercraft licence (I forget what year but even at 35 I'm soon to not be exempt for that). In short, always look up your local and state laws, Oh and though I'm back in Arizona I still Ride with a whistle.
That’s all great stuff to carry I’d also probably carry a rechargeable battery bank, a fire starter block with a good lighter and in the first aid ⛑ kit make sure it has quite a few alcohol wipes which can also help if you need to start a fire 🔥 if stuck some where overnight

If you ever make it out to SoCal, highly recommend a trip to channel Islands starting at Anacapa and going to Santa Cruz Island, it’s called the Galapagos of the West, painted cave biggest sea cave in the world also is crazy cool!
note, sea doo kit requires batteries for the flash light. don't just put it in your PWC seal up. also extra batteries because I already know most ppl don't check safety equipment
The only thing I might need out of this is the safety kit/tow rope, and obviously my life jacket. Most of these things do not apply when you're riding on a lake.
Hi Alvean, I have had many seadoos up over the last 20 years. In one sense I don't disagree with you recommendation. BUT I would like to see how you carry all that you recommend having.
I would love to know if/ what you do to prevent your ski from theft while you’re traveling, or if it’s not a concern. Just discovered your channel and I love seeing chick running the show! 🤙🏼
Thank you 🙏🏼☺️💪… just some things I do when traveling with my skis are: check satellite view of hotel parking lots to make sure there is good parking and doesn’t look sketchy, Jack knife the trailer in a weird visible spot to make it hard for someone to take it if possible, lock the tongue latch, add another cable lock to the trailer from truck, wheel chalk lock, and if we want to go extra cable lock our trailers to other friends. 😏… If someone really wants to steal your ski/trailer they will even with all the locks and stuff but it sure is a deterrent and I’m not gonna make it easy for them. 😂 You gave me a good idea for a video 😉. Thank you.
I second the cable lock for the ski to the trailer. Look into the Bolt brand locks. You key them when you buy them to your vehicle. It’s helpful if you only have one tow vehicle. But they make padlocks, cable locks, tongue locks, trailer hitch locks and actual hitch pin locks for the receiver. You buy the lock for your brand vehicle and style of key, and key each one to your ignition key, or the back up key that’s on the fob if it’s push to start. Its a vehicle key, not a generic hitch pin key or trailer key or padlock key so it’s a little bit harder to pick or rake using similar keys. It allows you to use more locks on your stuff, without needed to have extra keys to carry or lose, or sit there and go through keys until you find the one that works if they all look the same. Any lock can be broken or cut off, it just depends on how much time someone has to do it. Make it harder with everything locked up and it may deter them. But like what was said if staying at a hotel, always look at the parking lot, and when you get there try to find a parking spot that allows you to be close to the building and then ask if they have any rooms right there. Or ask where other rooms are that offer another view of a different area you can change to. See if you tow vehicle has any type of things in the setting menu for trailer. A few vehicles have a way to enable a feature so if the trailer is unplugged when the vehicle is locked, it will set off the car alarm, I think it’s mostly if you are using a 7-way plug. It sends out small voltage in the wiring circuit and when it reads it dropped, it will set off the alarm. I know only a few do it though. You can also get boots for the tires like parking enforcement uses, you have to get ones that cover the lug nuts though. Always lock up the security chains, even with a tongue lock, they can just jack up the trailer hook the chains to their vehicle tight, and lower the trailer so it rests on the chains, like it’s intended purpose and then drive it out of the area and then cut off locks or whatever they need to there. The only time a trailer is it’s most secure is when it’s locked to the towing vehicle, and even then it’s not that secure. A cheap cheap cheap route, is to place those stupid door wedge alarms on each side of each tire and wedge them under the tire. The won’t be noticed, but may set off if the trailer is moved a little over them. It maybe enough of a sound to scare them, or at least hopefully you would be close enough to hear it that you can see as it’s driving away and have a jump on the theft. When it’s parked over night, put a tracker tag like an AirTag or something hidden on the ski. I say ski and not trailer because 3-4 guys can lift up a ski and slide it in to the bed of a truck or onto another trailer. Having a cable lock on each the bow hook and the rear transom hook is a good way to stop it or slow it down. If someone wants something they will get it, but they have to work for it. Theft is a crime of opportunity. The more they have to work for it, the less likely they will try, they don’t want to spend 5-10 minutes using cutters and power tools when they can just go to somewhere else and spend 30 seconds with something not locked.
Even though I don't own one yet I'm still very much looking forward to the day I do I see how good of shape you're in and you guys are out riding all the time I watch your videos all the time and it just excites me to know that I will be out on that water one day just cruising the islands I can't wait you need to look up the Puget sound North Washington Anacortes San Juan Islands and orcas Island Friday harbor what a beautiful trip just don't follow the orcas they don't like it they won't attack people but they will tell slap you to let you know it's a beautiful trip though you ought to try it

Lake Powell? Better hurry that lake is gonna run out of water pretty soon. Right now, it is at 34% and dropping. Beautiful lake if you can get into some of the back canyons.
Of course that’s a must but most people have that already. Tip: don’t spray while on your ski, some sunscreens can damage the coating of your ski or discolor seats.
What is this "YALL"? What is that? Also, you keep mentioning Jet Skis, what about Wave-Runners? Why would you need a whistle? Do lots of people bring dogs with them? Just wandering why you need a fire extinguishers since you would have lots of water around to put out a fire in that event? Why are people so consumed with losing their skis. Just keep an eye on your things, be responsible, and you will not misplace your skis. Just put your skis in the back of your truck or in your garage, you won't lose them. I don't like waterskiiing myself. If you aren't responsible, bring a parent along.
How about an understanding that everyone doesn’t enjoy your pointless loud toys? See some folks camping in a secluded cove? Maybe don’t spend the whole day tearing around wasting gas ruining their peace? Busy channel full of boats? Maybe don’t go weaving high speed through everything? Hey Alvean thanks for this, I love the water and go to Greece often I think I’m set on a 300 rxt but a little intimidated buying one .. but I want one lol I have to find jet ski friends.. hello from NE PA
@@efthimios hello! No need to be intimidated. : ) it’s one of the best feelings ever. Always smiling. There are quite a bit of people in Greece that ride. You can find several on the Facebook pages.
@@AlveanAzurin aww thanks Alvean! I love the water so much and can’t wait. I’m torn between the 300rxt and svho - leaning towards sea doo… I don’t need the 325 if I can find a lightly used or left over 300 rxt that’s good for me.
you also should bring Dramamine pills (meclazine)
Great advice, love the content. Thanks for sharing! Hope to see you on the water soon.

Thank you for always supporting the channel. 🙏🏼😊
Do the dock bumpers stay on while you’re out skiing or do you need to remove them after you leave the dock? Just wondering how well they stay on at high speed.
No you should never ride with them on. They will either splash you or come off.
@@AlveanAzurin ok thanks for the reply. I just bought my 1st jet ski yesterday (2019 GTR) and won’t be riding until next year but now I’m watching a bunch of videos on them. 1st time owner also. 😳
why do you say took ? great video
Here's a video you can make... How will you be transporting your skis to such far away places you listed in this video? Or will you be renting everywhere you go?
I will be using a loaner in Puerto Rico and someone will be towing my ski to Miami on their 3 place trailer. There are companies though in Puerto Rico you can rent from.
Nice video Alvean, also in the Netherlands we are impressed 💪💪
Which garman do u use
I think it's hilarious you and I own the same Sea Doo's. We even have the identical trailer. Haha
😂 well you must have good taste then 😉
@@AlveanAzurin 😁
Where is the link for the bumpers?
In video description
You rock! Thank you.
You're welcome!
I'm not a silver spoon guy I've worked my butt off all my life and I've gotten some trouble here and there and I own six acres now and Washington State and it's gone way up in value so I'm doing really good on that my mom is dying she's 86 years old they give her about three more years God bless her and she left me a lot of money so I'd like to build a house do some landscaping on my property and buy one of these Sea-Doos that's where I'm at we have logging roads and mountains it'll break up a two-seater or a dirt bike very quick that's why I'm looking at the water I live in the Puget sound area Anacortes and the San Juan Islands it's just beautiful out here so that's why I've been asking you about the different types of bigger watercraft I want the biggest Sea-Doo they make and the most powerful and you mentioned the GTX 300 I think that's where I want to go thank you for all your advice and now you know me a little bit and you know my area any advice you can give me for add-ons let me know please thank you
Sorry to hear about your mom. Hope you are able to spend lots of time with her before she passes. Sounds like a beautiful full of outdoor activity place you live. Yeah from what you describe that you want the gtx300 limited would be perfect for you.
Hi, can you please make a video review of the breakwater supply water proof backpak?
No problem. Keep an eye out for the video. 😁
@@AlveanAzurin thanks so much in advance
thanks im ready
I would love to have pay you for some training sessions for my company FlawaWarta and a couple employees ❤
Hello, what company do you have? Please email 📧 details. Thank you.
Texan right ? I don't think we are aloud in CA anymore.
What!? Who said? 😂

You left out condoms. Those are definitely a must if you wanna avoid child support and keep your ski!
Nice, first i need a jet ski :'(
I got a sparxx 3 up
اول مايشتغل السستم بدق عليك 😂😂😂😂🇮🇷📚
I'm sorry I get a little carried away with my text sometimes living in the mountains alone is it's a bummer sometimes
That camera is crazy (good)
It looks like you’re green screened, but I know that doesn’t make since
Lol
Does anyone ever bring jet ski jumper cables?
I do ✋… I bring a portable compact jump pack. That’s an item I usually carry in my dry backpack.
A tow rope for seadoo owners and a pack of wear rings lol
Hey hey… there has been plenty of other brands I have had to tow but I don’t go blasting them. No need for negativity, this is positive vibes only zone. 😏
Thanks 👏👏👏
No thank you for watching.
you forgot to add the jet ski, trailer and truck
Nice work
Thank you 🙏🏼
Lake Powell? Better hurry that lake is gonna run out of water pretty soon. Right now, it is at 34% and dropping. Beautiful lake if you can get into some of the back canyons.
I know 🙁 but it’s on my bucket list 🤦♀️. I may have to put it on the back burner for next year. 😢
why would anybody need a fire extingusisher on a jet ski 😅
With all that stuff you will need to buy two Jet skis to carry
,alvean Azurin🤗
Can u honestly pack all of that in a jet ski.. that's alot of stuff
Yes bc you are wearing the PFD and the fuel can goes on the back of the ski. I can even put more inside my sea-doo. I actually put more. 😂
That universal thing 🤣😂🤪
😂🤦♀️ Multi-purpose Tool.
Waterproof camera, not your phone! Take cool pics out there without risking ruining your cell !
U missed sun cream :)
Of course that’s a must but most people have that already. Tip: don’t spray while on your ski, some sunscreens can damage the coating of your ski or discolor seats.
👍👍👍💯🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌👍ty ❤️❤️❤️👍
common sense
Well for those that are new to the boating/PWC world. Its not common sense. Did you know all the supplies you needed when you first started? SMH
@@AlveanAzurin yes because its common sense
@@AlveanAzurin SMH not very helpful ,,,thefirst thing you need is a boater education course
Rage baiting? 🤡
I guess what I’m saying is out respect for others on the list
