Today I share with you a recipe that I've been enjoying since a child. My late grandma's Dal Gosht recipe which she very lovingly used to make for us and serve with freshly made rotis.
The kitchen smelt wonderful as she used to prepare this dish and we would look forward to devouring this.
This dish is a common Pakistani recipe made in Asian households across the world, combining meat and lentils to make an Amazing curry.
I hope you enjoy my recipes, for those that are interested in the items I use in my kitchen, take a look at some of them on my Amazon Store, which can be found at the following link:

Great recipe the pressure cooker is phenomenal - im moving out soon so its a must buy item
Love your recipes and the clear way you show us how to do them. Can you give us a receipe for your home made garam masala?
Just discovered you! Thanks for sharing your Daadima's recipe; that is very generous. I also appreciate the reference to 'cup measures," which is helpful to the Americans out here. I'll give this recipe a try soon.
Mashallah mouthwatering, just found your videos keep up the good work. 👍
Thanks for liking
😍😍😍😋😋😋😋
Looks lovely I’ll be making this over the weekend . Shamsa where do you buy your pressure cooker from?
Hi Shamza I did this recipe just like you making sure I did the Bhunning right to the end which I have never done properly before & it turned out absolutely brilliant, Thank You it's in my cookbook Ha...👍👍
I commented on your other video by accident lol! I was wondering how long you would cook on a normal cooker hob if you don't have a pressure cooker?! Love your recipes ❤MashAllah!
Hi there, it would take double the time if you're not using a pressure cooker but that too depends on the size of the meat. Larger peices require more time. Hope that helps
Thanks again for a fantasic receipe. 👍❤ please could you tell me which pressure cooker you are using and where you got it from. Thankyou x
She's back.

Hi 👋 Shamza
For some reason your videos aren’t being pushed on my RUclips. You know I have followed you a long time and you’re videos are there but other videos are getting pushed to the top. I love ❤️ your content so I go looking for it anyway but something seems a bit strange. Just thought I would mention it. You know I love your lamb and mutton dishes.
Keep up the awesome work Shamza .
Can you tell me what size/ make/ model of pressure cooker is please. I have an aluminium stove top that's getting past its sell by date.
Looks amazing great video I don’t like lamb thou could you use chicken instead? Might be a silly question
You can use chicken too, chicken is just quicker to cook in comparison to lamb, just make sure you have the same amount of measurement of chicken as she used lamb.
Yes of course!
In measuring the oil and water what size is your half cup measure? Is this half an imperial cup, making it 5 oz? thanks!
Do I boil the dhal first
Kindly watch the video, it's show you a step by step 😊
Hi. I really don't like lamb so can I use chicken
Do you know that a pinch of HALDI in soaked chana dal will aid in making it tender easily - try and see
Any way you can show us one video where you measure out the spices instead of having them already measured out? I’m from America, and I swear your half tsp, tsp, and tablespoon measurements look way bigger than the equivalent here!
Very nice
