So I’m in Florida and I suffered a back injury and the MRI showed that it’s bulging disc, do you have any advice, I’m on light duty but I’m still doing full duty at my job, I feel like it’s my fault for even doing it still. But I want to do it the right way and let them take me out of work.
What happens if you had a workers compensation case open and the company fired all of the employees then filed for Chapter 11 and bankruptcy. Can I still get treatment and wages?
Hi Jessica, the answer to your question is Yes, you can still recover your workers compensation benefits. The reason why is the insurance company who provided the workers compensation insurance to your employer has to pay the benefits, unless they too filed for bankruptcy. And even if the insurance company was insolvent, the state would most likely pick up the care and treatment.
I just got hurt yesterday. Under workmen’s comp do I go back to work on light duty or stay out till my back is better. My job is telling me that if I don’t work I won’t get paid
It all depends on what you do for a living, how bad is the fracture, how much lost time from work you have, or may have, and whether you will need surgery in the future and what State you work in. There are just too many variables to answer your question with any accuracy. You are welcome to call me at my office for a free consultation. 813-222-2222

Do what the doctor says.
How did it go??
If your drug test comes out positive, is a case declined? or any eligibility for medical & lost wage benefits?
It all depends on the state you are in and who your lawyer is. I suggest you hire an attorney to help you.
How much would I get as a settlement if I have a fractured finger?

Its all fun, until you or a loved one gets hurt on the job and you can't get any good medical help.
