    For people who are deciding who mic is best suited for their use case -
    I brought the Blue Yeti X microphone first and then I brought the Yet GX. I love how the Blue Yeti sounds as well BUT it would catch every little sound in the background. Understanding the use case of the microphone is crucial. Dynamic mics are built to block out background.

    It seems like the gx was an attempt to make a more expansive mic without putting as much money into it. I needed this vid to decide if the extra cost was worth it, and now I know that the x wins

    The other figure 8 mode you were talking about is stereo. I guess it must work, since I only heard sound out of one ear in that part of the video.

    Yeti X sounds better, has more features and looks way more professional. Yeti gx looks like chinese cheap 10$ mic. Blue's best design is snowball.

    Playing with another gamer in same room, we are echoing in our mics, when I use my yeti x with the cardoid mode picking up the other person... help.. do i actually need to switch this to a dynamic mic like the yeti gx just to solve this problem??? I have this on cardoid mode AND gain is all the way down to "0"

      I’d recommend trying to mess with sound settings in your games, for example, when playing together, muting each other to prevent your mic’s picking each other up, other than that, moving the mic’s farther apart will also help a bit

    So you can’t connect headphones? On the gx?

    • @Carl-Camera
      @Carl-Camera 3 месяца назад

      No the GX has no headphone port and no 0 latency monitoring. They originally planned to put one and youncan even feel a 3.5mm hole behind the sticker, but supposedly Logi cheaped out and didn’t want to pit a combined ADC/DAC chip.

      Some people don't want to have to do any editing to the audio to make it sound good they just wanted to sound good straight from the microphone that's why a lot of people go for a sm7. It even a rose pod micb@@va02gaming

    • @va02gaming
      @va02gaming 8 месяцев назад

      @@treversreaction6342 there is not a single microphone that sounds good out of the box, yes some are pretty close like the shure sm7b but that also is interface dependant if you want superior audio quality you most certainly have to tweak any microphones EQ, Compressor ect, I have made it easy for Logitech users with the GX my presets are available on there, honestly tho there is no microphone thats good out of the box it may sound better than others but it’s still far from its full potential

      its a gaming microphone and cost $130, the only reason that it sounds "murky" is because a gaming microphone isn't going to be / have omnidirectional or figure 8 options because it only tries to focus on your voice. Thats also one thing that he forgot to put in, the blue yeti is a podcasting mic so its built for of course, podcasting. as for the yeti gx, thats built for gaming, so its only going to try and focus on your voice; not just all over the place like the blue yeti.
