  • A few last things to polish before we start on a new project. Lithium, nuclear fusion, imersium, science... I think that about covers it.

      Cheers dude. It's imminent.
      (I'm always gonna finish these things. The idea of leaving a series of videos incomplete, that people could tune in, get invested but not see a conclusion, I would see that as a personal failure)

      I'm running K2+SE too. I'm 30 hours in. Episode 1 isn't too far away

      @@theotherbigfoot Super Excited!!! I find your videos the most informative, while still very simple to follow. A lot of other Factorio Content Creators assume we all have software engineering degrees, and it is very hard to follow along with their "Guides"! Keep up the Great Work!!!

    🤣I Died During the Tritium Segment... "A Few Moments Later..." that was great... I feel your pain though, spent Hours Running calculations just to find out the fuel can be Crafted. But as the saying goes, "No Pain, No Gain!"

    I saw a k2 Megabase on reddit the other day that didnt have any mines, just a bunch of greenhouses, wood to matter, matter to everything else

    the antimatter is also used in the final power plant they are very good especially for the intergalactic tranciever

    Your confusion is understandable. You just forgot that the better turbines have 210% efficiency, so they take half input to produce 100MW of energy. THAT's why a single fusion reactor can support 20 fusion engines.

      But we are still using a single unit of fuel every 5 seconds. So 2GW of energy is going into a reactor. I'm still confused. Shouldn't the efficiency bonus be in the reactor and not in the turbines?

      @@theotherbigfoot Technically everything that consumes fuel has an efficiency property that allows that specific entity to be more efficient or less efficient. Its in the .lua modding code.
      While having efficiency on the generator would be more intuitive, nothing forbids you to have efficiency values all along the power production line. So you gotta have those in consideration while doing math for a count-perfect ratio

      you are not alone.... There are K2 & K2+SE Fusion Buff Mods, to correct this issue and make Fusion power more sustainable and superior Fission (cause in my mind Fission should not out perform Fusion)

    Are you not planning on finishing the Intergalactic Transiever before moving on to the next factory?

      I think I'm gonna be coming back in a few weeks. Someone else pointed this out and I'm still pondering what to do about it. I thought I had finished, rocket was launched, science was finished, that's normally the end of the factory. Krastorio is different it would seem. Current feeling in my gut is that I'll be coming back in a few weeks.

    Grabbing a graphing calculator to figure out power consumption to determine tritium production instead of opening the game's power and production graphs is peak factorio gameplay.
    Enjoyed the series, can you really call a krastorio save beaten if you didn't turn on the galactic receiver though?

      Hmmmm.... galactic receiver.... dammit. Rocket launch. Check. All sciences. Check. That is generally the end of the factory, I haven't been in a situation where that wasn't the case before. That's annoying but it's too late now, I'm 30 hours deep into K2SE.

      @@theotherbigfoot it's the puzzle that those superfluous endgame technologies are balanced around. You didn't get a game completion summary pop-up when launching the first vanilla rocket because powering on the transceiver is krastorio's rocket launch.

      @@ashar9545 Pants. You are of course absolutely right. I didn't get a game completion summary. I'm going to ponder this. I don't like the idea it is unfinished.
