- This run was unreal, I'd like to thank ArtTAS, SamWhich, Shtrudel and my homies for watching/motivating me. You guys were my motivation to continue running this game.
Tons of potential for sub 25, I won't go for it now but eventually I will. One thing to note is the 2nd Venom fight, I had truly insane RNG, hence the huge timesave. But I'm truly proud of this run. :)
Now we wait for Spider-Man on the ps4. ;)

This game was amazing back in the day. There really wasn't any competition for this game back in the ps1 days.

I'm not a huge fan of enter electro to be honest since I'll have to pull out my ps2 to play it (I wouldn't play on emu.)

I just completed my playthrough of this game after getting it on an emulator for nostalgia. Still mostly holds up today, had a good time. Awesome run! Some really impressive tech I wish I knew when playing the game. XD

How did you get the PC version to cap at 30fps so that it's actually playable?
Resolution editing in DXWND and fraps helped dropped the frames. The bigger the resolution is.... the lower the fps will count

i never realized how close i was to finishing the game when i was little. the game kept freezing when i got to mysterio. i never knew what happened after that

This was the first game I've ever attempted a speedrun on as it was my favourite childhood game before ps2 was out

I'm guessing you die after you watch the building cutscene? This happens because you are going too fast for venom. You have to see Venom going in the building in the cutscene in order for the level to work properly. Even when speedrunning we still have to wait for venom before triggering the cutscene.

I actually bought my copy on ebay. But you can find sm2000 pretty easily since the game is pretty accessible at this point.

I currently run Jak 3 at the moment as I got the time I wanted for SM2000. But I may return back to sm2000 in the future.

Can you do this in a real PS1 hardware or a more powerful console like PS2 or PS3
Late on replying but the PC port is the best for speedrunning. Not just with load times but the game hardly lags and aside from crashing it runs pretty well. However the PS1 port lags like crazy that's it's unbearable for me and ps2/ps3 shows no difference. And the n64 port.... lol that's a joke in itself.
