Also, the blue/dark blue suit aesthetic is underappreciated and I wish it would show up in more media that way. I prefer it to the black suit even though I know the black suit is comic accurate. For one, dark blue carries with it the dark nature of black but shows there's still a personality, also it's a great antithesis to his greatest adversary Carnage or Spiderman who both sport opposing colors.
This game introduced me to Venom and also to super hero video games. This game was fun and has an amazing story with cool boss fights. And that’s why this game will always be one of my personal favorites

For some reason whenever I would get past the scorpion fight, the game would crash to desktop. so i would just play those first two levels and the boss fight over and over again. Good times.

It’s fine to have a bias for this game from nostalgia value and it’s understandable to prefer a game simply for being *harder…* but you are way off base if you’re saying the insomniac games don’t have depth to them. Those games made you feel like the web swinger both exploring the city and during fights. They had stealth aspects and an array of tools to pursue different play styles. Yes you can just roll through encounters mashing counter and beating enemies down with finishers but if that’s the only depth you found it’s because you were unimaginative when playing. Games don’t and shouldn’t have to force you to pursue specific play styles to reach their goals. Games that give every player a different experience on multiple play-throughs are true gems.

I used to jump in to a group of guys just because it was too boring to stealth takedown most of them and you always have that web retreat, which lets you escape even if you takedown infront of people and just hide again and you can do the same thing over and over again.

This game was incredible! I ran this on my crappy old PC in software mode that could barely get 10 fps but I still played it and loved it to death.
