  • A friend and I decided to do some stuff in the Rosemont area for a weekend, and we needed a hotel. After looking around with most hotels closer to where we wanted to be fully booked for our dates, I managed to score this hotel for a pretty good rate. While having a whole suite was quite overkill for us, the extra space was nice given that we just needed a place to sleep and eat breakfast. Overall this was a pretty nice hotel. Compared to the other Marriott-run hotels that I’ve seen which were less than spectacular, this was a nice change in scenery for Marriott. The hotel offered nice rooms, edible breakfast and was close to everything we needed. The location was also great; the airport is about 10 minutes away via the complimentary shuttle, the Donald E Stephens Convention Center is a 15-minute walk, and a CTA station 5 minutes away, which can get you into downtown Chicago. Additionally, the area is quite safe, and we had no problems walking to or from anywhere. The only complaints I have about the place are the breakfast, the service, and the food were well below average, and $23 per person is outrageously expensive. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, and if you want a hotel with all suites and free shuttle service, this is a great place. If it weren’t for the fact I am now employed with another hospitality company, I would most certainly stay here again.
