Double tap on the brake pedal initiates the ‘hold’ function allowing you to take your foot off the brake pedal when you’re stuck in traffic for long periods. Saves you blinding the guy behind with your brake lights. Simply press the gas pedal when you want to move off again. Great little feature.

Can you demo the voice dial and setting up the Navigation system with voice if possible? Nav is not practical if you have to enter destination manually.
Just insert the card into an Sd card slot, it's plug and play. Drive under open sky for the initial handshake with the satelite. But make sure your car is definitely pre-wired before buying a card. You can check at any MB dealership based on your VIN number.

Hi, nice videos! I have Mercedes ML350 Blutech 2015. The roll down feature it works in my car by press and hold the unlock button. But unfortunately the roll up it doesn't work but pressing and hold the lock button from the remote key. Is there another way to it? Please help. Thank you !
Try to come closer to a door and point toward the door handle, while pressing and holding the LOCK button. Maybe the SmartKey battery is going low. Does your car have Keyless Go with sensors in the door handles? If yes, try to touch the door handle sensor and hold, like I've shown in this video.
Hi thank for all the great info.....BUT...I tried the key fob for opening only one door and did not work. Now I am a widow and would like to have this safety feature can you tell me how to overcome this error? Thanks
When you press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time, make sure to HOLD both and don't release them... until the red flashes. Also try to do it while standing next to your car door. Let me know if it worked.

Good Morning, My B service is coming up and bring it to the dealers for the service is close to $700 plus this plus that and you end up paying more like $1000 before you get the car back, my question to you is is it necessary to do the service with the dealership or outside oil change place is fine? and if so what kind of oil should i use? $1,000 is excessive! I would check prices from some other MB dealerships on their websites. But you don't have to do service at MB Dealership, you can service your car anywhere you want. Just make sure the shop is specializing in Mercedes vehicles and do some search online - there are lots of them!

does the light on arrow on the side mirror flashes when I turn on the turning signal? I thought it was on when I was at the dealership. After I brought the car home, that features stops. Can I turn that feature back on?
The red triangle inside the mirror is not a turning signal. It's a Blind Spot Assist. It tells you if someone is driving in your blind zone, before you change lane.
Aux battery is very small, it's actually a simple capacitor. Usually located under the passenger footwell or under front passenger seat, but make sure to check the correct location based on your model and year.
You can insert the push button if your car is equipped with Keyless Go, or start from the Mercedes Me app on your phone if paid and subscribed. Or install an aftermarket Car Starter gadget.

MBZ Master, Are you familiar with doing an adaptive transmission reset? I have this vehicle. it is a 2017 GLS 450. I have noticed a hard shift from time to time. I drove it in sports mode the other day and got a hard shift twice when I drove it out of first gear to second gear. I also had this happen when I slowed down and had to speed up. I heard that resetting the adaptive transmission can help. I did a reset with my Acura and it worked. What do you think?
Mercedes has a foot-sensitive gas pedal. So it reacts differently, depending on how you press it/drop it. If you press smoothly - the transmission will shift smoothly. Press hard - transmission will upshift harder. If you floor it - the engine will build up a maximum torque for uninterrupted acceleration... as long as you keep your foot on the floor - the car will accelerate. But if you drop the pedal suddenly - the car will downshift, thinking you want to slow down. It takes time to get used to it, especially when you used to drive a different car. I'm planning to make video explaining how it works, so stay tuned. If you think you have a problem, your car should be still under warranty if it's under 50k miles, so you can show to a MB dealership for diagnostics. @@MBZMaster Thank you for your reply. Another issue is that sometimes the vehicle thinks before it changes gears. If I slow down then accelerate the vehicle thinks about it before it goes into gear. This happens intermittently not all the time. This never happens when I come to a stoplight or stop sign to bring the vehicle to a complete stop but it only happens when I slow the vehicle down than speed it up to accelerate. I did notice this the first day I purchased the vehicle and drove it home. It only happens when I slow down then speed up not when I come to a complete stop. Both Mercedes dealerships don’t know what I am talking about. What could this be? This is is why I wanted to do a reset to the transmission.

That turns off ESP, ABS, Airbags, etc... all the safety features. Be carefull if you turn off anything, because it will greatly affect your safety. Sometimes you need to turn off some features for diagnostics of problems - to run some tests. Some people use it - to take the car on the track to do some "spinning donuts" or put the car into skids, but I wouldn't advise it.
@@MBZMaster thanks bro but recently I did change all break pads front and rear the machanic never used that option instead he used diagnostic tool to reset I guess he or mojority don't even know about this option. In fact I had also front disks replaced and rear some turner work done for alignment or cleaning. However he did not do any bleeding to ensure no air entered the system. And due to covid-19 lockdown car is driven very rarely and than suddenly after 4 months got red light for break sign and a meesage "check break fluid level". I did top up but did not help in fact the owner manual also said so it won't help. So I brought the car to carage and was told to replace break fluid reservoir tank as the sensor attached to it is defective. I am wondering why this has happened is it because of the air in the system due to the work done and the entire break system in mercedes is designed such a way instead of damaging break master cylinder it somehow after sometime affect sensor instead as a warning message to do break fluid bleeding?!
Hi mate, i have an r class cdi 300 2012 mode. I can connect the car to my phone over bluetooth and can make calls. But the audio section is not showing up bluetooth device so i can play music. Should i go to engineering mode to fix this? I am not sure what codes are for the engineering mode...:) any help will be appreciated. Thanks
@@MBZMaster thanks actually i tried it. The key combination for engineering mode is not working. I also reset the system, re paired via Bluetooth and still it doesnt find it in the Audio list...🙄

1. In this video I've shown how to delete all your private data before you sell your car or do a lease return, so no one has access to it. Your cell phone should have all your contacts and numbers already.. 2. This can be done in Settings, as a matter of fact I'm doing the video right now on how to adjust settings, so subscribe to my channel - so you'll be notified as soon it's released. 3. Not that I've known on 2015 models. On newer models you can get it through MB Apps. So rule of thumb: 35 mph - street; 65 mph highway - unless street signs state more or less otherwise.

MBZ Master, I have a b180 2013 model. I have 2 round toggle switches under the dash. One says 'Foot on/off' and the other has 2 symbols that I do not know what they are. can you give me some info on what these are? thanks
@@MBZMaster Thanks I have figured them out. They are from MB, not after market. I live in Japan and it is a Japan specification. One toggles footwell lights on, the other one allows you to choose amber or blue light for the footwell. it is an option that comes on the night sports edition 180B

Hello, I have a 400 S Mercedes. Its right front door magnet, which should tightly close the door dose not work, and the door remain loose, unless I forcefully close it. how can I resolve this problem? thanks
The door may need an alignment, it may be out of its place. Usually happens if the vehicle was previously involved in the accident, but not necessarily. Any body-shop can fix it easily. Or the suction actuator needs to be checked/tested and fixed/replaced if needed.
@@MBZMaster Thank you so much for your advise. Actually the door is completely in its normal position. The magnet force which should close the door to its final closed position is not working!
Did you know that when you are in a call the speaker mute button actually mutes the Microphone. Also did you know you can chose in settings if the GPS will talk or not while you are in a call. Holding the air recycle button down closes all the windows.
One more question. What is the white P letter in a blue square appearing on the dashboard? It appears and goes ....and sometimes has an arrow beside on the right side or left side.
It's a Parktronic with Park Assist. When you drive very slow, the arrow shows that there is enough space to park your car on the side. And if you put transmission in Reverse - the car will park itself. Just release the steering wheel, but keep your foot on the brake pedal just in case. I'm going to demo how to use it in one of my upcoming videos, so stay tuned!

How about the back seats, can they lean more on the back? Because they don't lean much on the back...kinda of seating straight and the back getting sore if it's a long drive. Is there any trick to do that?
@@jurjanable You can recline the rear seats by using the same lever on top of the seat that you use to fold it. Also, you need to raise the rear headrests.
Hello! I hope you can help me. I have the "PRE SAFE FUNCTION LIMITED - SEE OWNERS MANUAL" message on my dashboard. I took it to a highly recommended import mechanic and they said there are no error codes showing. I had them check it twice. Based on my research, there could be loose sensors in the front bumper or the front passenger tire. Is this true? If so, why no error codes? Could it be anything else?
Can be a few different problems. Here are few that come to my mind: Dirty or defective sensors inside the front grille and bumper; your car's second AUX battery is going down (needs to be tested); seatbelt sensors are damaged; malfunctioning windows and sunroof sensors. Many times, just cleaning the sensors inside the grille and bumpers fix everything. Also make sure to perform the windows and sunroof synchronization, as I showed in this video here: bit.ly/MBZM-7
@@MBZMaster Thanks for getting back with me. Just had Main and Aux batteries replaced. All windows + sunroof work perfectly, but I'll try the synchronization anyway if it wont hurt anything. Also, I'll try cleaning the sensors inside the grille/bumpers. Where can I find the seatbelt sensor? Is there a reason why the vehicle is showing zero error code(s) and I have that warning? I'll let you know how everything turns out. Thanks!!

The camera will always work, even you turn off the radio. However, I wouldn't turn off the screen. If you don't want to listen to radio, just mute it.

Is there a remote control to turn on the aircon ahead before going to glc 300 2018 on a hot summer day and returning to a parked car.

Good Morning, My B service is coming up and bring it to the dealers for the service is close to $700 plus this plus that and you end up paying more like $1000 before you get the car back, my question to you is is it necessary to do the service with the dealership or outside oil change place is fine? and if so what kind of oil should i use? $1,000 is excessive! I would check prices from some other MB dealerships on their websites. But you don't have to do service at MB Dealership, you can service your car anywhere you want. Just make sure the shop is specializing in Mercedes vehicles and do some search online - there are lots of them!

does the light on arrow on the side mirror flashes when I turn on the turning signal? I thought it was on when I was at the dealership. After I brought the car home, that features stops. Can I turn that feature back on?
The red triangle inside the mirror is not a turning signal. It's a Blind Spot Assist. It tells you if someone is driving in your blind zone, before you change lane.
I have a question about my Auxiliary Battery. I have a MB 350 SL. I keep getting a message that it has malfunctioned. Where is the battery located?
Aux battery is very small, it's actually a simple capacitor. Usually located under the passenger footwell or under front passenger seat, but make sure to check the correct location based on your model and year.

You can insert the push button if your car is equipped with Keyless Go, or start from the Mercedes Me app on your phone if paid and subscribed. Or install an aftermarket Car Starter gadget.

MBZ Master, Are you familiar with doing an adaptive transmission reset? I have this vehicle. it is a 2017 GLS 450. I have noticed a hard shift from time to time. I drove it in sports mode the other day and got a hard shift twice when I drove it out of first gear to second gear. I also had this happen when I slowed down and had to speed up. I heard that resetting the adaptive transmission can help. I did a reset with my Acura and it worked. What do you think?
Mercedes has a foot-sensitive gas pedal. So it reacts differently, depending on how you press it/drop it. If you press smoothly - the transmission will shift smoothly. Press hard - transmission will upshift harder. If you floor it - the engine will build up a maximum torque for uninterrupted acceleration... as long as you keep your foot on the floor - the car will accelerate. But if you drop the pedal suddenly - the car will downshift, thinking you want to slow down. It takes time to get used to it, especially when you used to drive a different car. I'm planning to make video explaining how it works, so stay tuned. If you think you have a problem, your car should be still under warranty if it's under 50k miles, so you can show to a MB dealership for diagnostics. @@MBZMaster Thank you for your reply. Another issue is that sometimes the vehicle thinks before it changes gears. If I slow down then accelerate the vehicle thinks about it before it goes into gear. This happens intermittently not all the time. This never happens when I come to a stoplight or stop sign to bring the vehicle to a complete stop but it only happens when I slow the vehicle down than speed it up to accelerate. I did notice this the first day I purchased the vehicle and drove it home. It only happens when I slow down then speed up not when I come to a complete stop. Both Mercedes dealerships don’t know what I am talking about. What could this be? This is is why I wanted to do a reset to the transmission.

That turns off ESP, ABS, Airbags, etc... all the safety features. Be carefull if you turn off anything, because it will greatly affect your safety. Sometimes you need to turn off some features for diagnostics of problems - to run some tests. Some people use it - to take the car on the track to do some "spinning donuts" or put the car into skids, but I wouldn't advise it.

@@MBZMaster thanks bro but recently I did change all break pads front and rear the machanic never used that option instead he used diagnostic tool to reset I guess he or mojority don't even know about this option. In fact I had also front disks replaced and rear some turner work done for alignment or cleaning.
However he did not do any bleeding to ensure no air entered the system. And due to covid-19 lockdown car is driven very rarely and than suddenly after 4 months got red light for break sign and a meesage "check break fluid level". I did top up but did not help in fact the owner manual also said so it won't help. So I brought the car to carage and was told to replace break fluid reservoir tank as the sensor attached to it is defective. I am wondering why this has happened is it because of the air in the system due to the work done and the entire break system in mercedes is designed such a way instead of damaging break master cylinder it somehow after sometime affect sensor instead as a warning message to do break fluid bleeding?!

Hi mate, i have an r class cdi 300 2012 mode. I can connect the car to my phone over bluetooth and can make calls. But the audio section is not showing up bluetooth device so i can play music. Should i go to engineering mode to fix this? I am not sure what codes are for the engineering mode...:) any help will be appreciated. Thanks

That's strange, I would contact your local MB dealership and ask them. Because your car should be equipped with BT Audio.

If your car is equipped with Active Headlights, they will adjust themselves when needed, and it's not really noticable when you drive.

1. In this video I've shown how to delete all your private data before you sell your car or do a lease return, so no one has access to it. Your cell phone should have all your contacts and numbers already..
2. This can be done in Settings, as a matter of fact I'm doing the video right now on how to adjust settings, so subscribe to my channel - so you'll be notified as soon it's released.
3. Not that I've known on 2015 models. On newer models you can get it through MB Apps. So rule of thumb: 35 mph - street; 65 mph highway - unless street signs state more or less otherwise.

Today for the first time , he didn't allow me to go with more than 10 mph , without any woorning lights on the dash !! MBZ Master, I have a b180 2013 model. I have 2 round toggle switches under the dash. One says 'Foot on/off' and the other has 2 symbols that I do not know what they are. can you give me some info on what these are? thanks
Probably those switches are not original from the car. Someone installed something aftermarket.
@@MBZMaster Thanks I have figured them out. They are from MB, not after market. I live in Japan and it is a Japan specification. One toggles footwell lights on, the other one allows you to choose amber or blue light for the footwell. it is an option that comes on the night sports edition 180B

Hello, I have a 400 S Mercedes. Its right front door magnet, which should tightly close the door dose not work, and the door remain loose, unless I forcefully close it. how can I resolve this problem? thanks
The door may need an alignment, it may be out of its place. Usually happens if the vehicle was previously involved in the accident, but not necessarily. Any body-shop can fix it easily. Or the suction actuator needs to be checked/tested and fixed/replaced if needed.

One more question. What is the white P letter in a blue square appearing on the dashboard? It appears and goes ....and sometimes has an arrow beside on the right side or left side.
It's a Parktronic with Park Assist. When you drive very slow, the arrow shows that there is enough space to park your car on the side. And if you put transmission in Reverse - the car will park itself. Just release the steering wheel, but keep your foot on the brake pedal just in case. I'm going to demo how to use it in one of my upcoming videos, so stay tuned!

How about the back seats, can they lean more on the back? Because they don't lean much on the back...kinda of seating straight and the back getting sore if it's a long drive. Is there any trick to do that?
@@jurjanable You can recline the rear seats by using the same lever on top of the seat that you use to fold it. Also, you need to raise the rear headrests.

Hello! I hope you can help me. I have the "PRE SAFE FUNCTION LIMITED - SEE OWNERS MANUAL" message on my dashboard. I took it to a highly recommended import mechanic and they said there are no error codes showing. I had them check it twice. Based on my research, there could be loose sensors in the front bumper or the front passenger tire. Is this true? If so, why no error codes? Could it be anything else?
What year and model of your car? Does message stay all the time or it disappeared?
@@MBZMaster Its a 2014 E350 (Not 4 Matic) and its on all the time.
Can be a few different problems. Here are few that come to my mind: Dirty or defective sensors inside the front grille and bumper; your car's second AUX battery is going down (needs to be tested); seatbelt sensors are damaged; malfunctioning windows and sunroof sensors. Many times, just cleaning the sensors inside the grille and bumpers fix everything. Also make sure to perform the windows and sunroof synchronization, as I showed in this video here: bit.ly/MBZM-7
@@MBZMaster Thanks for getting back with me. Just had Main and Aux batteries replaced. All windows + sunroof work perfectly, but I'll try the synchronization anyway if it wont hurt anything. Also, I'll try cleaning the sensors inside the grille/bumpers. Where can I find the seatbelt sensor? Is there a reason why the vehicle is showing zero error code(s) and I have that warning? I'll let you know how everything turns out. Thanks!!
