Hey Rick. Ive been a subscriber for sometime and appreciate the advice you offer. However I became very frustrated with something you may not be aware of. You speak highly about the less expensive option of purchasing the TMCT saddleback guards rather than the pricey Harley-Davidson guards. So I took your advice and ordered a set of TMCT saddleback guards using your discount code. The installation was fairly simple and straightforward. First installed the brackets and kept the screws loose until everything was attached, then tightened. However, after installing just the left side first and installing the saddlebag, I noticed the saddlebag lid was difficult to latch and back portion of the saddlebag protruded out further than the front. This consequently placed a preload on the entire bag when I used the 2 twist screws to secure the bag to the motorcycle as we normally do. What I discovered was the bottom rail (the bar the saddle bag rest on) protrudes out further on the rear side of the bag than on the front side of the bag. Comparing the distance between the saddle bag on the TMCT side versus the stock rail on the right side was quite obvious. Therefore I removed the left TMCT bottom rail and compared it with the stock HD rail I removed from my bike earlier. What I discovered was the bend in the bottom rail that attaches to the bike next to the exhaust slip-on is a 90° sweep and not a 90° elbow like that on the Harley-Davidson guards. This forced the rear of the saddlebag out further than the front causing a misalignment. Since these are pre-drilled holes there's no way to make adjustments to rectify the problem. If you have any type of relationship with TMCT you may want to notify them of this issue. Unfortunately I'm going to have to return these guards for a refund.

Drops are bound to happen if you’re pushing past your limits. It’s the only way to get better! Drop guards are a must. Great video brother

I just dropped my chop tour pack, I just put the locking latches from hogworkz. I am so mad. Went Amazon and bout a king tour pack now I can put my full face in there. I hate spending money, thanks for XMT Moto is not Harley money
