Sorry for repeating phrases a lot, I know it sounds like cringe but 😕. I hope you guys enjoyed the video and that it was helpful. I work really hard on it...
Great video. Two areas you missed; Wipe the camera on the top of the Roomba. Also, wipe the part on the bottom of the roomba that looks like you can insert a thumb. That sensor also helps with mapping and navigation. Great video. I did learn something. It never occurred to me to wipe my docking station. Thank you for that.
Roy this video was so useful! Thank you! my roomba wasn’t docking but after following your tutorial it is whizzing round the house scaring my dog again!
*I absolutely love this thing for cleaning all flooring surfaces **MyBest.Tools** even does a great job on throw rugs. Highly recommend! Cuts cleaning time in half!*
Oh My Gosh! I spent over an hour trying to figure mine out. Your’s was the first video I clicked on. Child you taught an ancient granny how to clean her Roomba. You were clear, easy to understand. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You have explained the whole process so well and made it seem very simple. Thank you. God bless you . I’m still on the mapping phase and it’s done 2 runs already, taken forever and still managed to get super dirty. Cleaning it now to do a third run now so that I can finally start using this thing to clean 😂
You saved me. I didn't know the caps on the end of the main brushes came off, so I kept getting errors about cleaning the main brushes and couldn't figure out why. Thanks!!
I am very proud of you Roy! I’m very impressed that you took it apart AND put it back together! Great job on your video. Just the info I was looking for! Thanks so much! Keep up the good work!
Excellent job! I have 3 dogs and a farm, I've had my Roomba for just under 4 weeks and had an amazing amount of hair and dirt everywhere! This made it easy to know what needed to be cleaned.
Thank you!!! You are a very good teacher. I just got my iRobot a few weeks ago and it started going through the emptying process 3 times instead of one. Since it sounds like a jet taking off, I wasn't happy with that. I followed your instructions and now it's back to emptying one time when it returns to the base.
Excellent explanation! This was the first video that came up in my search. Thanks for guiding me through cleaning (a much needed cleaning) my Roomba i7. I also ordered replacement rollers and filter on Amazon so my Roomba is as good as new.
Thank you for a thorough video. I am a housesitter and was having trouble with this vacuum telling me to clear the brushes every few minutes. Your video helped me figure out there was a puzzle piece stuck under the rollers.
You did an amazing job explaining how to clean the i7! Thank you very much. I just received one for Christmas and I needed a tutorial since my other IRobot is 9 years old.
Had no clue the ends you showed at 4:10 popped off! My roomba was squealing like crazy and I couldn't figure out why till I removed the ends and found a ton of cat hair - thank you for this video.
I watched a few other videos and your video was by far the best. I learned how to take the front caster wheel off and that the grey end caps on the rubber brushes come off from you. Thanks!
Hey thank you! Your video was much more informative than Roomba's own. I learned tonight that I need to clean everything WAY more than I was. I also ended up cleaning the tunnel underneath the beater bars/extractors with a cloth, as that got a little caked on dirt, as well as the full bin sensors. Would be the only bit I'd add.
I was struggling with putting the green roller rubber brushes back on. In your video I was able to see how to do it thank you so much for sharing. I noticed there was a little helper text inside the area too but I just had flip flopped them the wrong way.
Wow! I hadn't even thought about popping out the caster wheel. That's what I get for not reading my manual, I am sure. Thank you for this helpful video.
Thank you very much for sharing this amazing video!! It helped me “fix” my roomba which had stopped working! I didn’t realize how much hair could get stuck around the sides of the wheel rollers! Thank you very very much for all the details and explaining to me how to fix it ☺️
Nice vid! Cleaning my i7+ tonight and really helped. Don’t forget to unscrew the little flapper for the dirt disposal. You can clean that too! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for making it so easy to understand!! Its my 2nd time watching because I forget things when I tried to do it on my own. Keep it up - you are very good at this!
Great video, Roy. I watch it every time I clean my i7 plus so I don't miss any steps. I just replaced the extraction rollers for the second time, as the dark green one keeps get sliced open by hair cutting into it. The new dark green one looks the same as the light green one now. I rang Roomba to check I ordered the right rollers. They assured me they are the correct ones as they have been redesigned.
Really helpful, you saved me a lot of time. Initially came to seek answer to one specific cleaning step ; ended up cleaning everything with you. Thanks for taking the time to make that video :-)
Great job!!! You helped me so much!! So informational!! I didn't know I could clean half the things you showed me and wasn't sure about the sensors...so helpful!! Thank you sweetie!!
I know this video was from 4 years ago and you're quite a bit older now, but I would just like to say that this video was way more helpful than most of the ones made by adults. Thanks!
Thank you so much. After watching your video I learned there where parts that could come out that I never knew and found wrapped hair the I didn't even know was there! Also discovered I spent 20 minutes trying to fit those rubber grippers in backwards. Awesome video. Thanks again!
Finding this video two years later, but this was exactly my problem too - didn't realize the end caps popped off (shown at 4:08) and couldn't figure out why the app kept saying, "Clean the main brushes". Loved this video! Going to bookmark it for future reference.
Great video! I had already bought all the replacement parts. Now I can just put them away for awhile--everything is working just fine with your advice.
😀this was a very comprehensive, but concise presentation on the full maintenance for the IRoomba J7. It is better than the company's setup videos. THANK YOU!!!
You did a great job! You explained everything so well and so simply. Your video helped me realize what I was doing wrong in trying to reinstall the brushes after cleaning. I had put the little end pieces on the brushes backwards - therefore the brushes would not fit back in. I was getting frustrated but I knew that I was probably making it harder than it had to be! Sure enough! Seeing you install the brushes with so much ease made me look closer and I figured it out. Good thing I slowed down and was a little bit patient and didn’t just try and shove the brushes back in. I would’ve surely broken some of the plastic parts! Thanks again for your informative and helpful video!
The toughest part about cleaning my Roomba i7 is putting those rubber brushes back on the vacuum cleaner after cleaning them. You make it look so easy.
Hey Roy, don't know if you're still around but your video was definitely helpful--- to a point. I was looking for a deeper disassemble because my roomba (we named it Wall-E) did NOT detect cat vomit and make a mess :( so I'm figuring out how to completely take it apart to do a deep clean. BUT, your video gave me the confidence to go on lol thank you

Thanks for explaining this so well! I was beginning to think that I was not smart enough to be a Roomba owner
I am very proud of you Roy! I’m very impressed that you took it apart AND put it back together! Great job on your video. Just the info I was looking for! Thanks so much! Keep up the good work!

Thank you for doing this video. I was looking for one to help explain how to regularly clean our robot, and your video was the ticket. Great job!
I watched a few other videos and your video was by far the best. I learned how to take the front caster wheel off and that the grey end caps on the rubber brushes come off from you. Thanks!
Great job young man.You helped me replace everything.
THANK YOU BASED ROY
I was having some issues with a few minor parts, namely the front wheel.
Godspeed young man

Really great video! I cleaned my iRoomba for the first time and you're video was extremely helpfull. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work
Thanks, I didn’t know the end caps popped off of the debris extractors. I couldn’t figure out why it kept telling me to clean them.
LarryBird374 no problem!

Good job! Just ordered one and wanted to know what I was doing before I even opened the box, this definitely helped a lot! Thanks!
No problem! (but just a quick note, the i7 has almost no suction power so you might wanna think about upgrading haha)
That was exaaactly what i needed thankss😁🔥
