Vet wrap is my solution for so many things! I make my own perches and they are actually super easy! If you have access to safe trees and a drill, you can make perches :) I live in northern Ontario so trees are a plenty!
I believe that the shower perch should be put with the bar at the top for two reasons, 1 the bottom suction cup bar is to support the weight of the bird and 2 the perch part won't fall off. Oh and BTW I love that your Canadian, I also loved that you are so knowledgeable and I've actually learned new stuff.

Hi! I have a VERY nibbly lovebird. All she does is literally NIBBLE on my fingers. I try to step her up, she nibbles. I try to scritch her, she nibbles. Everything I try to do she nibbles for! Please help me 🥺

Is she tame? And does she bite more out of her cage or near/ in her cage? Female parrots are usually more cage territorial since it's pretty instinctive for them to 'protect their nest'
I think you need to tame her but I dont know how to please watch a tutorial

For your shower perch, just flip it over, so the perch is above the suction thingies. It'll hold and no screw needed (it is shown in one of the pictures from wish, too)
I realized that after recording 🤦♀️ it’s been up in the shower for a bit now and working great since flipping it lol!

Id always be cautious with anything from Wish, its known for them to just take other brands and put it on their own products. I always assume that anything I get from wish is a knock off, and treat it with that caution (especially with electrical items)

I have the same shower dowel. I wrapped it with vet tape. Is perfect now. And it doesn't slip out. Its very sturdy.

Hi... just a thought... you could use plumbers tape on your shower perch to make the connection more snug.;)

You could take a dremel with low grit sandpaper attachment and rough up the surface of the shower perch. :)
That is how the boxes come, standard shipping from Wish lol I found that site is a 50 / 50 crapshot. You also have to wait months for some stuff to even show up.

My English isn’t as good so when I watch the video I don’t understand most of the terminology and names of materials I wish it’s written so I search it and translate it ..
If you want to make a toy out of anything just look it up before you do! You can use paper or safe woods (google search)
i have the same shower perch but had to add "vet wrap" to the perch part to provide my budgie with grip. no way he could sit on it otherwise, but it works perfect and suction cups dont fail

The shower perch upside down might mitigate the danger of it falling off from the weight of the bird

Anyone know where one can get bird-safe bells? I bought toys initially at the pet store only to realise all of them began rusting a year later and clipping them all off. My birds really loved the bells though and I haven't been able to find s/s bells that ship to Latvia. It's sad to realise that almost none of the bird toys or accesories in my local pet stores are safe or advisable for birds, it's all just nests, mirrors, cheap metals or boring toys no bird would want to play with apart from those plastic balls with those little round bells inside.

You put it into the shower and let the water gently rain down on your bird. It's basically another way of getting your bird to shower/bathe

I did check that too, the dimensions of the bigger size wouldn’t match up to the image either though!
Thanks for sharing this. I often think about purchasing bird items from Wish but in all honesty I find shopping online so stressful that I rarely do it. I heard you say you can make perches. Is any tree ok? I would assume so since wild birds land on them. Would like to learn more about making perches.
Not any tree- some woods are toxic to parrots. You can find lists of which woods are safe. You also have to make sure that the tree hasn’t been treated with pesticides. Remember parrots chew on the wood and will ingest whatever is on the tree

On amazon you can get one for $15 - Trixie natural playstand - not put of grapewood but just natural wood 🤷♀️

Nutriberries are also really good treats! My cockatiel actually loves peas and carrots chips actually meant for hamsters as treats. It's really just studying what your bird loves. Fruit can also be really good as treats!

I love your videos. Last year I purchased another fountain (immediately ordered the Swan fountain because I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately, the bowl is much deeper than I thought it would be and therefore that makes it difficult for the birds to step into the bowl from top of the sides of the bowl. I love how quiet the Swan fountain is and it makes a nice stream so I want to keep it. I'm wondering if there is a way to make the bowl less steep by placing something into the basin so it's easier for the birds to step into the basin of the bowl? Or any other ideas? Any ideas anyone might have would be appreciated. Thank you!
The filtration/ pump is well concealed so you could probably just easily fill the basin with large stones to make it as shallow as you would like! If they need more grip vet wrap is a good self-adhesive water-resistant material you could use to add more grip!
