    Usually, I go to the gym 4-5 days a week. I follow three workout regimens and each day I focus on only one. Day 1 is for chest, triceps, and forearms. Day 2 is for back and biceps, and the following day is for shoulders and legs. After that I start with my Day 1 routine again. It continues like a loop.
    Before lifting weights, I always warm up. I stretch to ensure that my body and muscles are ready for the wight lifting!

    how often do you do exercise? not as often as I would like to, if I ever hit the gym and do common exercises like pull-ups, push-ups, or weight-lifting, it is once or twice a week. however, every day in the morning i go for a brisk walk to stay in good shape and burn pisky calories. that is it. i try my best to take time out of my grueling schedule to engage in ordinary exercise.

      Wow - thanks so much for sharing! Here's a couple of notes:

      Honestly it sounds like a pretty active and healthy routine already, well done!

    Dear English teacher what should I do to improve my English skills?
    I do understand when my friends and my boss speaking English but sometimes i just can speak in English😅
    I hope you understand what I write here and yes I need to improve my English to get my student visa and also better job😂😂

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  Год назад +1

      You should watch all of our videos of course! 😂 Just joking.
      It's important to know that there were 2 different types of skills when you use another language. Listening and Reading are called [Input] and Speaking and Writing are called [Output]. With our RUclips videos, podcasts and listening to conversations, you are getting practice with lots of [input]. However, the only way to practice [output] is to speak and write yourself. If you can find an English teacher where you can speak to them - that will help a lot. When you practice [output] you will also make mistakes, which a good teacher should correct. Language exchanges are also ways to increase your [output] - and with time and practice (and patience!) , you should be able to start speaking more quickly and easily in English. Hope some of that helps!

      Good question - it's not actually an American or British English difference. We use both verbs in the US and the UK, we just make our scripts a little different to show our students more vocabulary :)
      So you can say:
      "I'll try to squeeze in a run this afternoon."
      "I'll try to slot in a run this afternoon."
      They are both correct and both suitable for the US and the UK! 😁

    I tried to take a walk daily either morning or afternoon just around the subdivision where I live in. I wanted to join the Zumba class but having a little one who is very clingy, that hinders me in joining a zumba sessions. Whenever I exercise at home my son would always hug my knees and never let me go. My only choice is to stop exercising and just eat instead. 😂

      Hello! Thanks so much for your lovely comment and question.
      www.youtube.com/@highlevellistening/membership
      We do give students something to take away after each episode, if you become a High Level Listening member, you get a PDF Transcript of the episode. That will have every word of the episode on it, so you can use that like a list or phrases and expressions to help you remember. Hope that helps!

      You mean that pdf has a list in it or I should to read every single word and extract what I need?

    I am feeling a bit trouble with the pronunciation of "Stress" & "Stretch".

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  Месяц назад

      Thanks for your question! 😊 The difference between "stress" and "stretch" is subtle but important:
      - 1️⃣ "Stress": The vowel is short like "eh" (similar to "dress"). For the ending, breathe out to make a long 'ssssssss' at the end.
      - 2️⃣ "Stretch": The vowel sound is the same, but the end sound is "ch" (like in "match"). Put your teeth together and make the "ch" sound really strong. It's the same sound at the start of words like: "Chase - Chew - Check".
      It's fine to really exaggerate these sounds slowly at first, just keep repeating and repeating and repeating and after a few days, you'll be able to say them faster and clearly but with less effort. I hope that helps a bit!

    Can some one explain me about the word quit 😊

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  11 месяцев назад

      Good question!
      "Quit" and "quite" are two English words that are often confused due to their similar spelling, but they have very different meanings and uses:
      Quit
      Meaning: To leave, cease, or discontinue something. It can refer to leaving a job, stopping a habit, or exiting a place.
      Usage: Used as a verb.
      Examples:
      "She decided to quit her job and travel the world."
      "He quit smoking last year."
      "I'm going to quit this game; it's too hard."
      Quite
      Meaning: To a very noticeable extent or degree; it can mean completely, entirely, or to a significant degree. It's used to modify an adjective, adverb, or verb, often for emphasis.
      Usage: Used as an adverb.
      Examples:
      "The movie was quite interesting."
      "She's quite good at playing the piano."
      "It's quite cold outside today."
      The key to distinguishing between the two lies in their part of speech (verb vs. adverb) and their meanings (to stop or leave vs. a degree of extent).

    Often __we pronounce " ofen " but you pronounce of ten. Are the both pronunciation correct?

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  Год назад

      Both are correct, sometimes when we single out a word “off-ten” to give it more emphasis but in natural speaking it often (hehe) gets shortened to “off’n”
      Whichever you prefer ☺️
