Thicc roughout uppers, great boots also fantastic quality control from whites. Love that brand 🙌🙌 I'm waiting on a pair of 350 cruisers in the brown r/o
Hey man, I appreciate the review, especially since videos about this model are rare. I went through your videos, and it appears this is the only one you made about these boots. Just wondering if you still have this pair and if so, how it fits now. An update video would be awesome. Thanks!
I had an update video but after wearing them on trip to Korea i had thiughts I wanted to add/delete. I will be uploading an update video within the next couple weeks.
@@vancanadastyle3365 I came back to your video bc I order whites back in February and still haven't got em. The local shop I ordered through fucked up.
I think those soles are thicker because of the arch ease feature. My Whites Perry boots have the thinner wedge sole, but do not have that arch ease feature. I'm guessing here though. I am undecided between Whites Ramblers and Nicks Travelers as my next boots. I prefer the comfort of the softer wedge soles compared to the harder Vibrum lugged soles. Thanks for this informative review. A follow up in a few months would be welcomed.
Great review! I'm really considering trying these out since I also have very low arches/flat feet and always had insoles with arch support. How have these been after a year? we need an updated review. Have a great day ;)
I've got several pairs of White's (one tan rough out👍). I am considering a pair of WEsco Engineer boots with a Wedge sole. My concern is the sole appearing too large for a size 8 boot. Your smaller size a/w the huge contrast between the black r/o and the white sole makes the boot appear a bit awkward for my taste.
They are expensive for sure. I got mine because I made some extra cash reselling a couple pairs of sneakers or else I would have had to think long and hard about spending this much on boots. That said I absolutely love them.
Nice review. I wear thorogood moc toe for work and casual. I just ordered some Perrys as I like the nicer style. I really want to order some ramblers but cant validate the cost since I can wear work boots causally also. Would these be ok for work or are they purely leisure boots in your opinion? I love the rough out look and I work on concrete servicing pools. Thanks.
The main plus of the Rambler is the arch support for people who need high arches, like myself. I can stand all day in the ramblers because of this so I assume they would be great for work, and they kick ass as casual boots. That said I think they are too expensive as work boots. You made the right right choice with Thorogood and the Perry for work.
@@vancanadastyle3365 thanks for the reply. That’s actually what I am looking for. I have the Perrys and they are super flat even with my good insoles. Also the forefoot is super hard compared to my thorogood. Im wondering about how the ramblers feel in that respect. To me I just want comfort.
May I ask what is your size in nike sneakers? I'm considering getting this model and I'm trying to figure what size should I order to get the best fit possible. I wear US8 in all of my nike sneakers (for streetwear use, not for running) and US7'5d in red wing moc toe boots. My feet are normal to narrow, so I'm trying to decide between 7d and 7'5d on the white's ramblers.
Wow. You and I sound like we have almost the same size foot. I am an 8.5 in both Nike and adidas with a thumbs width of room. But if pressed I could fit in an 8.0 but would be fairly tight. I am also a 7.5 in the red wing sawmill. I haven’t tried on the moc but the sawmill is almost the same. Im a 7.5 D brannock on the dot. Personally I’d get a 7.0 in Rambler. But do your research. Get your feet measured with a brannock and then make your choice. Good luck.
Thank you very much@@vancanadastyle3365 for the answer. Before finding your review I was also leaning to size 7.0 for what I had read elsewhere about this particular last from white's (found some reddit posts debating Rambler sizing saying full size down from your regular size), but if you say you're on a larger side for a US8 in Nike and adidas that means your foot is similar or even slightly larger than mine as 8 in Nike fits perfect for me, so if 7.0 in the Ramblers works well for you (even with extra room for your toes as you show in the video) I assume that it will be the same for me or even slightly roomier. I know the final fit also depends on the shape of the foot but as I said my feet are on the narrow side and my only concerns when sizing boots in between two sizes are normally just in length to avoid toe cramping. Thanks again and Regards
The color is just black. My sneaker size in Nike, Adidas and New Balance is 8.5. Dress shoe size 8.5. They have become less tight and stiff with wear but nothing major.
Ive owned the Red Wing Moc briefly and the Iron Ranger briefly. Returned both because I couldn't stand the initial discomfort. I was an 8D in the Moc and Iron Ranger. My Whites are 7D and fit like a Red Wing 8D. But if you are considering Whites measure your feet on the Brannock and go off Whites recommendations which is 1/2 size down from Brannock.
Pretty good all in all. I'm going to do a follow up review pretty quick when I get some time. I walk about 15 min a day in these for school, 4 days a week for the last 8 months and they have held up better than the Red Wing Christy soles that people seem to wear through pretty fast.
Throw away those insoles. They should be replaced at least once a year. Disgusting. “Oh but I wash them”. F@&k that. Invest in your profession and your feet. Now we know who the fungi smelling guy is.

350 Cruisers are awesome.
Waiting for smokejumpers in brown r/o. Can't come soon enough
@@joelfigueroa1309 The smokejumpers are sick. Perfect for winter weather.
I also have high arches and have been considering whites boots. Nice overview
Its the only boot on the market, low end or high end, that has a high arch. Its confusing why other brands don't have models with arch support.
Excellent choice. I really like the look of your boots.
Thanks. They are pretty unique. I'm going to do an update vid in a couple months.

very nice looking boots

For anyone interested the sole is Vibram 2060.
No 2021. 2060 is same material but thinner with a defined heel
I just got these and yes there is definitely a bar feeling across my foot. Does that go away after break in?
No unfortunately not. They don’t advertise but it’s meant for people who need an aggressive arch. I do. I wear orthodics in all my shoes.

I agree. I wish they came with a thinner sole like on the Red Wing Moc Toe. When I get them resoled I'll go with something else.
“Buying boots online is the most stressful thing”…..yup.
Lol. It's the worst because boots are the most particular when it comes to fit.
Very nice boots! I just priced them at Whites website and they are $620 dollars!!! American! Wow...

Can you do an update on these pair and how they aged
Will do. I am going to do one soon. I have been a little busy with school but as soon as I get a chance to do one I will.

I describe the arch as feeling like you’re standing on the rung of a ladder at first.
Exactly what it feels like. I need a high arch so its perfect.

Thanks man.
Still happy with them? Good enough for daily wear?
Honesty. They are super good everyday boots. Im going to be doing a follow up video before I put them away for summer.
Great review thank you
Thanks.
"Aboot these boots" 🇨🇦
Haha. Nice eh?
I would give Nicks boots a look as well. I’ve found that their quality is far above that of Whites. Check out the “Robert” boot.

What exactly is the color and what’s your normal dress and sneakers shoe sizes did their fit change after wear

Thick man. 1 and 5/8 inches.

Vibram and Cobblers plus have the spec sheet for just the sole
Do you recommend?
Absolutely. Reminder tho the arch is fairly high. If you have a flatter foot then the Perry might be better.
