This is a Great knife! I've owned one for a long time and carried it as my EDC.
Amazing knife!
I love victorinox knives. I mainly carry the hiker, but definetly would prefer the awl on this. Also the sheepsfoot looks awesome
Thanks brother
I only have one Alox knife and I want to build my collection of those also. The electrician knife is definitely on my wish list! Thanks for sharing this one!
Pull yourself together RJ get them purchased 🫡
@@SlipjointSawyer message received, Imma working on it!
I just picked up my first Alox Matt, the Cadet. Neat little knife. May have to order the Electrician also. I love that sheepsfoot blade. That would be a handy cutter. Cheers! -Rob
Awesome Rob!
Looks like a handy knife to have. Thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Randy
I found one recently at an antique store that has brass liners. Heavily used and the main blade had been reprofiled well do to a broken tip. So the main blade is fully functional but 1/8" shorter. For $50 and being old enough to have the brass liners I had to have it. Now that I saw that nice shiny one you got, I may have to pick up a newer one.
Awesome find a James 🫡 I do love a good vintage knife 👀
I've been drooling over one of these for a while now and this video may have just reignited my interest.
@@SussexEDC I mean it's only £30 on Amazon 👀
I would love an Electrician X
Me too!
Indeed the models that they put out are well executed, the QC must be like hawks. Nice model. Thanks Matt.
Best QC out there 🫡
Great looking knife! Nice design I like that one! Great selection of tools!
Thanks Mike
LOVE that sheepsfoot blade. Haven’t picked up an Alox SAK yet, might have to put this on my list!!
Thanks for sharing 😁
Thanks for watching Stu 🫡
@@SlipjointSawyer had to pull the trigger on one of these, wanted to pick up an Alox SAK and has that sheepsfoot blade! 👌🏻
You got one coming? 👀
@@SlipjointSawyer certainly have, should be with me Saturday 👀
The great blade set makes this one very desirable to me. Thanks for the look Slippy.
Thanks for watching TK 🫡🧌
Brother, I really like that!! Very useful tools and would serve a tradesman a lot better than say the Knipex Electrician's knife. I gotta look for one of these!! Love all the tools on this one!!
Thanks Jer! It's a fantastic tool 🫡
Funny u get directions on using the can opener for a tool with no can opener.😮
Standard set of instructions isn't it 😂
Hey Matt , nice knife. I have that one and indeed several other alox Pioneer types. At the risk of offending the red cover lovers , they just seem more grown up. That secondary blade is a cracker. The secondary blade on the No. 2 and No. 7 is a billhook and is also a brilliant blade. Enjoyed the review and am enjoying your collabs with T K , A T B Tony.🐴🏴
Thanks Tony 🫡 I agree the Alox just seems more classy in my opinion 🙏🏼 appreciate you stopping by
You make a good point, these Alox kives seems more "Gentlemenly" perhaps. Just a classier version to consider.
Yes. Victorinox
Yep. I can can wholeheartedly endorse the recommendation here of the electrician. It’s my fave pioneer config because of the little Sheepsfoot blade. The pioneer range are my favourite vicorinox knives. I agree. They scream class and they’re just so practical for my needs. I don’t mind edc-ing a SAK because people recognise them as a tool. The electrician is sleek to carry when I don’t to have a Leatherman on my belt and just about pack enough functionality for my edc tasks.
Thanks for watching Mark
Sheepfoot instead of a pen?
Punch instead of can opener?
Brilliant!
You got it Zen 🫡
My thoughts exactly. It's a great little alternative option. I may have to get one myself now!!!!!
I like the alox series by Victorinox, well made and classy enough to carry to a formal event, in my opinion anyway...lol 🤣All joking aside, I like the design and layout of the tools in the Electrician and it's one I'd like to get some day for my collection. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
I agree with you Toad, it's definitely a gentleman's knife 🫡
Very nice
Thank you Sir🫡
I collected several TL-29s and have often thought about picking up one of these
You should, it's such a great knife
The awl is perfect for drilling holes in plastic, perfect for work with cable through holes
Great tips
Have you ever compared these 93 mm alox to the 91 mm cellidor ones?
The blade and bottle opener are noticeably bigger in every dimension, the snap is a lot stronger, and the whole construction is more robust. Not to mention the fantastic in-line reamer... I love 93 mm alox.
I have not, I'll check that out 🫡
Nothing like a proper tang stamp
No etching for SAK for sure.
Yessir
LOL! The entire point of a good box is to protect an item during shipping. If the box arrives all shredded and discolored, but the Item is in perfect shape I consider it a complete success! For some bizzare and unknown reason, inclusion of the box is the secondary market somehow translates into "More Valuable". I can only ascribe this to the effect of The OverPriced Antiques Ripoff Road Show Effect. Where Thieves tell rubes their items have HUGE sales potential just to buy them at low low prices to sell in their own stores!
Definitely a win 😄 thanks for watching
@@SlipjointSawyer Also, If you have ever wondered why traditional Swiss Army knives are Red, it's to be able to find a dropped knife in snow! Great idea since 1897!
@@KandaJE imagine if they were white 👀😂
@@SlipjointSawyer I have a pair of $5 Wally--World knives (reddish believe it or not!) 1 I dropped in a snowy pull over where it spent 3 years in snow and mud, no doubt getting repeatedly driven over by big logging trucks. 3 years later, I pulled over once again, Viola, there it was! All muddy and a bit scratched... After a dishwash bath, and a bit of rubbing with Flitz and a few drops of 3 in 1 oil, It's almost impossible to tell the difference between it and the one that had spent the last 3 years in the alternate Wally-world Need a Knife bag!
Kinda changed my mind about cheap Chinese Wally-World knives and the entire concept of what defines an EDC knife!
@@KandaJE awesome to hear it survived all that punishment 🙏🏼 I agree some are made to and excellent standard 🫡
It’s my favorite, but I have not purchased it cuz I want a lanyard ring
Yeah it's a shame to keyring
Great video, this will be my next SAK.I live in Indiana and we have very liberal knife laws. You can't carry a ballistic knife or throwing stars.
Wish we had laws that let us carry locking knives
Such a lovely looking knife. I love that little "sheepsfoot" electricians blade. I saw this reviewed on @gadgetgus channel and it's been on my wishlist ever since.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks brother it's a good price as well
Great review. It's a nice looking knife and i like the blade designs but the half-stop ruins it for me. If only it didn't have that feature
Pick up an older model, they don't have them 🙏🏼
@@SlipjointSawyer thanks I'll see if I can find one
If only it had the scissors, I can’t live without the Victorinox scissors in my pocket anymore.
I use them pretty much every day and they still cut like all the other ones I see.
The scissors are probably the best example of how their factory must be running like absolute 🇨🇭 clockwork.
I mean try to clip your nails on both hands with any other brand out of the box, even leatherman.
A Gerber would probably fail even if they made a lucky mistake. you’d definitely have a better chance of breaking your nails trying to open their tools. 😅
Pioneer X could be your solution
@@SlipjointSawyer ill stick with my huntsman with the little blade for now.
maybe ill customize one some day😅
Sweet
Thanks CC 🙏🏼
Been on my shortlist for a while now.
Pull the trigger on it 👀
I don't have one of these and need to rectify that soon.atb paddy.
Thanks for watching Paddy 🙏🏼
The "Owl" ? You mean "All" ?😉
😂
Awl
USA cool gun UK HE HAS A KNIFE AAAAAAH
😂
Is the main long regular knife blade look bent when it’s in the open position? I mean because of it being off ground to be able to close.
Very slightly but nothing you'd ever notice in use 🤘🏻
@@SlipjointSawyer ohh ok
Been thinking about getting one. I got the solo blade the army 1 I think. It’s a solid little knife!
Smfh if this had scissors it’s the greatest of all time
I know 😅
👍👍
Torn between this and the Victorinox 7 (Harvester).
I like the saw 🪚 but do I really need it???🤔
I don't personally need the saw but it's a nice addition 👀
