Philippines is more expensive than some years ago I know because I have lived there some years between stays. I was recently in Hoi an , Vietnam, and I stayed in a hotel that recently had been upgraded to 5 star. Only 38 € a night (we are 2 adults plus our son)with breakfast buffet lol
