It has been a long winter here in Massachusetts, and I am anxious to get back to the clay field. Your videos have held me over, Roger. Top notch. Thanks for sharing.
i know im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
Roger, not sure you know but there is a small microfiber dab in the handle of the Tico tool. It's designed to be lightly oiled and pulled through the barrels with the metal eye loop at the end of the Tico tool after cleaning. Just thought I'd share!
Bob...Yes there is... and I should have shown it...I don't use it because I spray the tool itself...and then wash it with a bit of detergent...you must have one...what do you think of it? Thanks and stay well!
Roger !!! That g96 is absolutely great stuff !! I dont think you need anything else whatever! !! One of my gun stores get it in by the pallet !! No sooner it arives and its all gone !! I had to pay $40 for a can of ebay because i cant seem to get it elsewhere! !! And from all that ive been able to read its safe on the stock as well !! Unlike most other cleaners !!
Beretta , Italians do it better .
Great video, Roger. Could you do a follow up one on the proper way to clean and care for the wooden stock (oils, waxes, etc)? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for uploading your tutorial. It's very helpful. I have two questions. 1) Do you only wipe clean the forend metal parts? 2) How do you clean where the choke threads are? (Do you remove chokes before cleaning the barrel thoroughly?) Thanks!
Glenn...I might do a video of shooting a round of DTL...have never shot sporting clays...I have enough trouble with down the line...stay well my friend!
Hi Roger ! Exelent vídeo ! I have a question for you... maybe you can help. Do you know something about Marocchi shotguns? are goods like a Beretta?? Here in Argentina... Beretta IS a really expensive gun and Ir was thinking to pick a Marocchi at the half of the price
Marcos...you have taught me something...I had never heard of Marocchi shotguns...i looked them up...but I do not know anything about them...I may be biased...but italian shotguns are usually pretty good...sorry I couldn't help.
Have you ever used a bore snake, Roger? Any opinion? They seem to be the standard around here, although going back a few years I recall most used the long brush as you do here.
retro...i used a bore snake and they were good...the newer guns with their hard chromed bores clean so easily that they don't seem to need a wire brush going through them...i just use that long brush ans it does the job well.
Hello! Do you know a place online I can find that cleaning rod you had (or something similar)? Also, how do you clean the gunk off of that after use? Thanks!
Roger, quick question - do you ever take the chokes out and clean them separately and, if so, how often? Great video, you make it look so easy and effortless.
Ralph...it is my back yard...very small and low maintenance...so i get more time to go shooting...backyards in Texas would be much bigger...like that song...don't fence me in...Good to hear from you!
Another great video! I noticed you switched to the G96 cleaner from the CPL in the 686 SP cleaning video. Any specific reason? I have the same 690 so I’m extremely curious to hear your reply. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for another great video, Roger. You may have mentioned it before, but why did you get rid of the Silver Pigeon? Second question - I see this has fixed chokes, but with the silver pigeon, did you clean the barrels with the chokes still in or remove them? Lastly, do you ever remove the ejectors to clean them? Thanks!
smackwah...good to hear from you...I traded in the silver pigeon because it did not have an adjustable stock...an adjustable stock would have cost me $500 to have installed for $1000 dollars I could buy a dedicated trap gun ...and that's what I wanted because I only shoot down the line...I always took the chokes out and regreased them...but you don't have to take them out all the time as long as you do it every month or so...I never take out my ejectors i spray them them with gun cleaner and let any gunk drain out...the ejectors will get taken out this time next year by the beretta people because they give a lifetime free service...stay well !
180...I've shot a perazzi hi tech...from people at the club that have them...they are a fine gun...I would love to own one but I can't spend that kind of money on a gun...so I will have to content myself with my 690...the odd thing is that after a few years we've spent more money on cartridges than on the gun...stay well.
Try a second hand Perazzi - Here in Europe -Azores - you can buy a second hand Perazzi as new for 3500-4000 euros - half the price of a new one. A shoot with a cartrigde - Decatlon - 28g- that costs 4 euros a box (25).
My grandfather passed me down a s55 he bought in the 60's great video mine breaks down the same and going to give it a good cleaning!
Good on you and thanks for your comments Stay well, happy shooting and thank you for watching !!

retrOmullet...and thank you for watching them...enjoy the Spring!
I like your "pull-through" invention, great idea. One can never learn too much about gun care with these types of shotguns!

Rom...will do...stay well!
Never take my shotgun apart clean way it is. Keep up the videos.
I dont take it apart either ...i just clean what can be cleaned...!!!
Some nice tips, thanks. Using make up pads is a great idea.
The make up pads remove the lipstick when i kiss my gun!!!

clean the barrels with the choke tubes in..clean and grease the thread of the chokes then rescrew in tightly!!!
I love it when the inside of my O/U look like mirrors after cleaning :)
Steve...it's a great feeling..hey!...stay well and thanks!
Another enjoyable video... cheers and happy shooting....👍🏼
Black Bear...Good on you and thanks!
Thanks Roger! Another great presentation, keep um coming. I'd like to see video of you at the range shooting! Have you tried Sporting Clays?
Glenn...I might do a video of shooting a round of DTL...have never shot sporting clays...I have enough trouble with down the line...stay well my friend!
What kind of chokes do you use for sporting clays?
I only shoot trap...only shot sporting clays a couple of times!!!

Robert...I do clean the chokes ...maybe i didn't highlight it in the video...good on you!

Ed's Red" Cleaning solution !

Thank you !
You are very welcome!

Chris...I bought mine from the adelaide gun shop...i just use liquid washing detergent and it gets it really clean
@@rogerpace9322 thank you
Gday Roger, where did you find that bore brush? I’ve been looking for one for a while... Cheers Chris
Chris ...i bought mine from the Adelaide gun shop...cost about $30
Roger, quick question - do you ever take the chokes out and clean them separately and, if so, how often? Great video, you make it look so easy and effortless.

Bob...good on you!
I don't know if that's your back yard roger, but it's a beauty. I need to visit Australia one day.

It's just at my gun shop and i find it does a good job. I think the American Military use it!

Thanks. Great video (except for the Yankees hat!). Seriously, thank you kindly for your help.
Anant...i was going shooting one day and forgot my hat so I had to fork out $20 and buy a new hat with all my other hats back at home.
PERAZZI
180...did you know perazzi only make about 7 guns a day?
Hi, Beretta are good too, but if you want to mach a Perazzi MX you need to use a DT 10 or 11. Regards

Regarding the new Perazzi High Tec I don´t like the 7x11mm rib - I prefer the ususal 11x11mm.
