RSE Audio / HRK / Stam Audio / Mother - QUICK LOOK

Tracked acoustic and vocals with my good friend Jake last night and I'm sooo happy with the raw files ie nothings mixed this is how it sounded going through the beautiful analog gear into Pro Tools.
Also got to try out the new RSE Audio Lunchbox and TPA 504 Tube Preamp.
For lead vocals and Bvs I used my Sontronics Aria going into the RSE TPA 504 pre into Mother Vivid 3 Band EQ and finishing nicely in the Stam Audio 4K5

2. Aria into Bad Dogs P1 w/ the Jensen transformer into HRK ST552

Sounds great. The performance and song were really nice too. I've always wanted to try the Aria against the mics I have and see if it fits my voice more. Although, to be honest, I'd like to try every mic! I have a lot of RSE gear btw. Would love a Mother EQ.

The @sontronics Aria is a beautiful mic. Before I bought it, I was apart of a huge mic shootout with a studio, most of the mics were well known, pricing from £400 - 5k. For me and my producing partner the Aria just had something that beat every mic under 2-3k. It sure isn't clean but I don't like clean 🤣🤣

@@300AcreStudios Thanks a lot. Did you happen to have a Peluso 2247SE or 2247LE in that shootout? I have an original LE, but it has the American Tube, so I think it would be called the SE today. although John Peluso told me I still have an LE, which confused me because the LE today only comes with the German tube and the SE the American tube and as far as I was aware, that is the only difference. At the time I bought mine, each version (german or American) cost the same. Just wondering if you had compared the Aria with the Peluso?

Why not track the vocals through the ST552’s too?
