16:07 what’s up Pete, Chris here. Glad I was able to make it on one of your videos! It was a honor getting to chat with you outside the cockpit! Looking forward to saying what’s up in the future! P.S.A all my co-workers questioned me when I was being filimed😂 I mentioned to them that you were a blogger and work for our company(obviously)! Pretty sure you gained a couple subs after that! Keep doing what your doing Pete🤝
Ayy Chris my man. Thanks so much for saying hi, really appreciate it. Also, thanks for much for all you do. Pleasure meeting you! See ya again in LAX soon! Happy New Year!
Thanks for dedicating your time making these videos. In the middle of transitioning to become an airlines pilot. Career 2.0... It's been motivating watching you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love your positivity Pete. You get more with honey, than you do with vinegar. i learned this from my favorite Dutchman. Jan....(Pronounced Yan)... Keep up your lovely way of showing the not -so easy of Pilot life. You rock.
Never stop being you Pete. I wish there were more young people in the world like you with a great attitude and kind heart. Are you making the shirts for women too? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Non-Negotiable 2025!❤️✈️
Thank you for sharing ypur trip here. You made me laugh!! When I had my layovers in Santa Monica, I use to walk the beach both ways. I love the pier there with the ferris-wheel and the shops. And then Ivwould walk south down to Venis Beach neighborhood. Yes, you were right it is very nice there. FYI, the hones there are expensive upscale as well.😅 Some years ago, the Le Meridian Hotel was a grest place with great food there. That area was one of my long layover hotel spots. I love the beach there in Santa Monica!! So nice!! And yes 777s and Cat3 and landing in San Francisco and LAX. Haha😊
Well, Christmas here in Chicago was no snow. We were foggy and misty. And even today 12/29, rain and light fog! Interesting weather!! Alright, Happy New Years to you and your Girlfriend!! Cheers!! 🥂
@@pilotpetefly You are right there were more great memories! ☺ Well, Happy New Years to you, your Girfriend, family and friends from continued on & off rainy Chicago. ☺ 🥂 🥂
I was on my flight back home to DFW in the middle of that thunderstorm. I was there visiting my friends in my hometown Collierville its just east of Memphis. Bumpiest ride ever
Thanks for being who you are.... [ Mr Rogers popped into my head ...smh... anyway....] So much respect and appreciation for your videos and more importantly, your positive approach to things. Glad you get to be with dad over the holiday.
I was a EWR FDX mechanic. The tire is normally changed when it’s showing thread like that on the worn tread. But it can be dispatched we normally put it on the Open Item List to be replaced later.
@@wendyd4152 good question - I wanna know too. I’ve seen video of some planes landing with the landing gear at an angle with the back tires hit the ground before the front two. I’d expect to see the other tire across from it have the same wear and it doesn’t.🤷🏽♀️
You say you only go 3 places in NYC....but you know good deli and ice cream places!! STILL waiting for you to make that perfect In N Out order!! Now you know how to do it!😂😂
Being a young and successful person (not to mention physically imposing), you could have tried to 'big time' the woman who was overreacting. You didn't and that's such a great example for everyone to emulate. Keep it up Pete!
Greetings & Happy New Year from IND! try pushing in every imaginable weather & lighting condition. i wish i could have a go pro ride along to show y'all what we both see and look for in every condition. if we had autopush then we would probably be out of the job as that would be used all the time... except that we probably would still have to monitor it. however, the lack of experience from hands on always using auto push would probably degrade our skills instead of challenging us to improve them. if both auto push were available and only to be used in challenging weather as a guide to supplement our skills tool kit then in my opinion i think that would be the best for safety. ultimatly, if it aint safe to go then no harm no foul to refuse the push. best to stop before you start than to get yourself in a preventable mishap.
Interesting fact, I lived in Venice i 1973 and the canals had no water and the houses along it were inhabited by junkies. Now the canals have water and a house there is well over a million.
Always be kind ... Your good vibes and positive attitude came back to you ... More people should be like you stay safe best wishes
Always!
Great episode Pete. Keep doing what you're doing!
Appreciate the support!
@@pilotpetefly Pete, you are so handsome - do you ever get to fly to my native Ireland? 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪😍😍😍😍

Holly Molly Pete I think I could see the air through the tread or what’s left of it. Have a great day, safe travels…enjoy the party!!!
There's another 3 to 4 inches of rubber left before you let the air out.......

Why would one tire wear more than the other? Did that tire hit the runway first or are the breaks grabbing one side more than the other?

Cat III auto land-very rare -amazing technology. I believe you told us before that the captain has a HUD.
That’s correct, CA side does have a HUD
hey since talking about limitations on the aircraft. you should talk about speed tape"1000mph tape"
Haven’t seen that on any of my 767s yet
