What's strange is that the original version of Wario's Gold Mine on Wii, the left side was faster than the right side. So the left side used to be considered as a shortcut. I have no idea why on the MK8 the left side became the slower side. But it is what it is.
A Heavy Mii is now in the same stat class as Dry Bowser, Wario, and Wave 6 addition Funky Kong, but that changes nothing as far as the Speed stat is concerned, so as long as the course strats haven't changed between the time this was uploaded and where we are now, Morton is still one of the best time trial drivers here.
This is the track I grinded for ages I have been on 2:04.5 for ages hard track to improve but did not know u need to drift on the booster damp and weldone theo.
Hey, thanks for the tutorial! I didn't know a lot of the info for this track, so it could be useful. Is the build you used here still the optimal one for this track?
Yeah I’m kind of just going in order tbh. I’ll probably be able to finish up all of crossing cup before wave three drops, but likely won’t be able to finish bell cup until after I’m done with wave 3
I've been grinding the tracks out as hard as possible to try and finish up all the videos before the new year, but might have to wait on Bell Cup tracks until after Wave 3
Morton / Dry Bowser actually have different stats. Morton and Bowser are the same. And I used Morton because it's equivalent to the current world record which uses Heavy Mii
Also Morton has less handling, and traction which in theory you can use that to your advantage when doing the first turn since handling determines how tight you can take a turn, cause you don’t want to take the turn too tight when doing a wide drift.
I am really struggling to do the cheese land tunnel sort of thing shortcut shroomless, i either hit the wall or i get stuck in the sand... theres like a 1% chance i do it flawlessly. Please next vid do a tutorial for it it would mean a lot! 😁 BTW LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THEY ARE REALLY INFORMATIVE. It also helped me do other significant shortcuts more effectively!
Feels soo wird just dive streight, in mk wii you have the wheely, that game was like make asumíng you are on a bike Feels soo wird just dive straight, in mkwii you have the wheely, that game was like make assuming you are on a bike... probably to promote the new tipe of vehicle
The slower path is also really strong in a shock situation, thanks to the boost panels
Ah yeah didn't even think of that, good point!
Me personally, I only use the slower path just in case I'm in a middle of the pack online

The left path used to be faster in Wii but it's now slower because a new strat was found to make the right path faster.
However it’s faster by .001
I really want to thank you for making this because this is one of my favorite wii tracks. I’ve also have been taking the left path for a long time 😅
Literally one of the easiest tracks to time trial. All it requires is good driving and good lines, my pb is 2:06.6
Hot Take, this is a great track
Definitely a hot take lol
Thanks Bayesic! Cooler run 😎

This was the combo I used to beat all the staff ghosts. I guess I saw it in a world record at launch and stuck to it.
Thanks so much for this Bayesic this helped me go from a 2:06.6 which I was not happy with at all and now I’ve got a 2:05.3!

@@roanpitchford1923 now I’ve got a 2:04.8 which I’m rlly happy with
Nice! Also, i would really like a guide on big blue 150cc!
He will get to it soon
Definitely coming soon; but probably won't get to it until after wave 3
@@Bayesic Ok :)

I'm not actually sure; you'd probably have to check the current WR and see what they use
Nice tutorial
PLZ Update much change overall.
I would really appreciate it if you did super bell subway 150cc
He’s doing ice ice outpost next then Hyrule circuit then baby park I think then animal crossing
Then wild woods which might be sooner acc then the tracks in the bell cup

True...that would be cool. Also waiting for a Neo Bowser City on 150cc. That is sure to have some fun discussion of handling and drifting
Please please please do big blue. It's the only one I can't beat the course ghost on.

@@Bayesicmaybe you could skip a few tracks and do big blue? It's probably the most difficult track ghost in the game.
Is it faster to drive forward in the near end of the anti gravity section rather than doing a mt in the spot where collect 3 coins for laps 2 and 3 ?
Yup
Shame how lacklustre the track is considering it's one of the best in MKWii.
Especially because of the ultra
Son Of A GLITCH!
This game doesn't have it
Why morton over dry bowser.

Btw your pb is 2.6 seconds off record wr is 2:02.5
Oh didn’t even realize lol
There is not a lot happening on this track.
Yeah, it's definitely more entertaining on 200cc.
I did my best to keep the video itself entertaining given how boring the track is on 150 lol

So I do have a cheese land video out already, have you seen it / was it not particularly helpful?
@@Bayesic Yes thank you for replying, really informative, i tried listening better and comprehending. It really helped thanks! Btw i subbed
