Why does this goon keep referring to it as a Limited model? It is the SE Turbo that he is reviewing. He keeps knocking off points for things like cloth/leather dual tone seats and the steering wheel not being full leather wrapped, but all of those gripes are fully leather in the actual Limited model. He just really consider putting up a disclaimer or just removing this video and doing a new review with a legit Limited.

What you've just mentioned is the exact reason why I sub'd to your channel. I'm a fan reviews that tell me about the driving experience and what is lacking, not just what features a car has. I guess this is why I enjoy your reviews, as well as Steve Hammes from Yahoo Autos, Ross Rapoport from RoadflyTV, and MotorTrend reviews in general rather than more factual, 'bland' reviews from Kelley Blue Book, and SaabKyle04. Although the latter has great variety! Lol, he just reviewed a Cadillac HEARSE!

What's the big deal? The Fusion is in the same class, and has a similar set up with a turbo charged engine like the sonata, not to mention the coupe like styling. The most similar cars in this class is the sonata, fusion, and optima based on set up, so the fusion is the best vehicle to compare it to.

xXHondaFanXx Little old of a comment, I know, but I just had to chime in. I have a 2000 Taurus and it has 375,XXX miles on it at the moment. It's still running strong. And the Fusion is rated highly by JD Power in the reliability department, as is the new taurus and the trucks. The current gen focus does have some transmission issues though, but considering it's their first attempt at a double clutch transmission in this price range I think I can forgive.
However, do not buy any chrysler products. And I wouldn't trust anything made by VW or Subaru.

I don't think he's biased against the brand, it's just personal taste. He recommends more the Kia Optima which is the same sibling. People don't like the fluidic design from Hyundai. I personally love the way this car looks over the Kia Optima but some people prefer the optima's design over the sonata. It all just comes down to personal taste pretty much.

a little constructive criticism for reviewing things
a legitimate negative: "the design only allows for x amount of headroom in the rear, while competitors average x amount of headroom"
not a legitimate negative about a car: "i dont like the styling"
if you present more facts than opinions you will get better feedback from your reviews.

I'd have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by this car. Bought the 2013 SE in april and this "grocery getter" has all the power I could want out of a car that cost just south of 26K. Add a few "bolt-on's" and get a Seoulful ECU flash and this car could break 14 in the 1/4. Check the boards for a stock 2013 that posted a 14.3. The interior seams align very well and it seems well put together. For the price, I'm not dissapointed in the materials in the least.

The 1995 Hyundai Sonata has the best style I have ever seen for a car. The 95 model's style looks way better than later Sonatas' and the new Sonata. The style maybe old and a classic, but it feels more at home to me and I was born 1997 which I think is two years older than me.

Great call on the steering. It's painfully obvious that Hyundai is still a step or two behind the best when it comes to chassis dynamics...My previous car was an 06 Pass at VR6...That felt and drove like a $40k car - the sonata, not so much:[

He probably also feels the fusion picks up quicker because of it's torque. Of course the sonata is still the fastest midsize sedan, but the fusion has the most torque of any competitor, which is why people feel it pick up quicker. Another thing I have noticed as well, is people tend to complain of turbo lag in the sonata as opposed to the fusion. Many reviewers car and driver, motor trend, and more say there is minimal to none turbo lag in the ford's.

The Sonata/Optima still lead the class in price/content and overall value. The 2.0T SE as shown is 25k as a 2013..In the mid-range Hyundai's 2.0T is very strong..In late 2010 at its introduction no other manufactuer had anything like this or it's sister Kia Optima. Im glad for the opinions. But two years of strong sales with value pricing can't really be ignored..IMHO..2013 model cars are expected to have new tech options..I applaud Hyundai/Kia great 1st effort..Time will bring more progress.

Most new car loans are up to 72 mos now, at around 12-15k avg miles annually you can expect to put on around 80 to 90k miles and of course you want to hold off a few years before getting into another long term payment, and that's where you separate the Camry and Accord from these cars, as much as they have improved, I don't think they can handle the long haul as well.

The cause of the inflated numbers were errors during fuel economy testing at a facility in South Korea, which were caught when the EPA audited them recently. Somebody dropped the ball in Korea and now it's gonna cost Hyundai/Kia millions of dollars with the compensation plan they've implemented. No telling what'll happen with the lawsuits. I'm skeptical about what the lawsuits will do other than make some hot-shot law firm richer.

Turbo engines generally recommend premium fuel because of the high strung nature a turbo puts on an engine. It will generally run more efficiently and produce more power on premium fuel. Some cars like the Sonata and Ford turbos say you can put reg and when he does that's ok. Just expect the power to go down slightly and you may notice the car runs more efficiently on premium but its not going to damage the motor

That is one of the reason why I bought a V6 Genesis Coupe since I dont really care about MPG. Im a Hyundai fan and wouldnt consider the competition but I wouldnt want a 4 cylinder Sonata. And the new '13 Accord looks very nice but its too expensive! Camry hell no! I hope Hyundai keeps improving all their cars.

Why are you comparing 2013 models to a 2011 model...don't understand.

We did read about it, this Sonata was not part of the recall. We aren't too surprised, Hyundai was rating the Veloster turbo at 27/38 when its really 25/34, that sounds more reasonable, some vehicles were over rated by as much as 6 MPG

We feel that has been the trend still with their latest vehicle, its a shame bc they have so much potential.

I do respectfully disagree with the nonsense about the crappy steering, handling, and lack of response .... The steering gets looser the faster you go and stiffer slower speeds but I tell you what, that electric power assist sport steering has saved my life several times when encountering an object on the road or another vehicle and had to knew jerk the steering wheel and I believe without the sport steering assist I would have fish tailed and over corrected and when I made my sudden wheel jerk she came right back in to align no under steer

man, you complain about every single stuff. Do a damn review, we are not interested in your personal opinion. Even some of the expensive luxury cars are not even 80% perfect in design and quality.

'estabished' brands, you do realise that Hyundai/Kia have been around for decades.....and usually rate higher than all 'established' brands for reliability and lack of warranty call backs.

Being born in Germany and living their for 9 plus years and moving to America it is ridiculously frustrating to hear Americans say OUTY instead of “AUDI” just compare the word to a German grocery store AlDI’S it does not have an O in 🤦🏽‍♂️
