Good idea so far. Couple questions. Can you use a 3/4 inch pipe and shower ball joint which would accomodate the wire? I personally would not care about putting the wire down the pipe. I would jus leave it out and run it back through the original wire holes in the deck. To attach the guns to the pipe you can get a pipe cap which screws onto the pipe. You can then either screw the cap from underneath into the gun handle or superglue or epoxy the bottom of the gun handle (in front of the wire) onto the cap and screw the cap onto the pipe and unsrew it when you want to pick up the guns as originally.

I made a mame shooting cab that was T2 themed and I used caster wheels that were ball bearing and I epoxied the bottom of guns to the wheel and screwed flat part of it to control panel. It moved forward and backwards and the bearings left it move left and right. Maybe you can use that and hide the wheel with the electrical box. I'm doing work to my T2 1up so I would love to see your idea for this.

Been rolling around similar ideas in brain after added weight/painted ‘em.
Don’t love solid iron. Been thinking black extension spring somehow modified. Right thick one would add rigid flexibility. But how to mount?
Don’t mean to criticize in any way, what you’re doing is 9.5/10. Let us know how it goes!
