In 2009 I was 6 so I don’t remember that year for Texas but being a die hard Texas fan since i can remember idk what to do with my self for YEARS it’s just been heartbreak after heart break im so happy we are 5-0 but ill sit back and be upset with games like this even tho we played really well 😩i just want the boys to win everything that they can this year big 12 AND the cfb playoff

I was surprised to not see Daniels out there, hope he's all good moving forward Kansas fans. As for Texas, gave up some big plays (who doesn't these days and against a very highly rated O) but they outside of that kept Kansas in check. O has to take better advantage of their opportunities, especially in the redzone. This should've been a 1st half blow out. But they found their groove in the 2nd half and put Kansas away.
I think a little luck on that 1st TD for Kansas though, fumble recovered for a TD, lol. Also if that was Thompson on the long ball (Which I think it was) you can't just let the guy get inside like that and be flat footed. Barron was looking for the run and your job was to cover over the middle and you got caught napping.

I think it was Crawford who got caught flat footed, but yes Thompson should have done a little more to redirect/ slow the receiver.

I have been waiting for Texas to be relevant for 18 years!!! Every year and season have come in with high hopes and at some point get let down. So excited for the boys to be doing great again! Way to persevere fan base and sty by our team!! Hook’Em Horns!

2 blue blood 5-0 ranked teams with great rivalry, offense and defense in the same conference is super exciting to watch next week. Im a OU fan and texas will probably beat us but you cant deny that its probably the best red river game we've had in a while.

With Texas running game with Brooks. They can wear down the defense of there opponents and then mix the pass to throw . With the defense worn down Texas can control the game and the clock.and keep opponents off balance

As an Ohio state fan, I wish we would have had more faith in Ewers.. And gave him more snaps..we made the same mistake with Joe burrow. We acted as if they weren't good enough and completely underestimated both..

@@blackout07blueI don’t understand what’s so great about this quarterback. Kansas hasn’t played any good competition and he only had 700 yards in 4 games with 5 touchdowns and a interception lol. That’s not that great to me especially not enough to make a difference in this game against Texas. They still lose by at least two touchdowns with Daniels 🤷🏾♂️ let’s not act like Kansas back up quarter back don’t have a higher completion percentage and only 3 less touchdowns than Daniels with no interceptions and he’s just as fast

I'm not saying that it would've changed the outcome, but had Daniels been able to play, or Bean had been able to prepare with the first team this week, I think it would have been a closer game.
Kansas and Bean just looked out of sorts for most of the game. The offense couldn't stay on the field very long, and the Kansas defense got worn out.

Yup Kansas defense gave all the chances we needed to win the game but couldn’t keep up and got tired, Daniels would have done much better, it’s unfortunate but expected

Absolute shame Daniels couldn't go for both teams. And agreed about Bean being put on the spot without the week to prepare.

I watched the whole game and it was a very entertaining game from the opening quarter until the 3rd quarter. Texas had me screaming because they just didn't seem like they were on the same page early on. I wasn't worried about the game. I just always seem to want them to score on every possession 😅. I like our team this year. We slip up every now and then and give up a big play here and there but just like every game so far this season, we shut you down in the 4th and it's a wrap. Kansas is good but I need to see us against stiffer competition. No disrespect but I just think of Kansas as a basketball team. I know they can play and maybe Kansas is better than I think and we're just that much better. I know the starting quarterback was hurt for Kansas and that makes a difference. Maybe it's closer who knows but we have a identity. Shut it down in the 4th quarter. That's it. Good game Kansas. Y'all definitely got some play makers on y'all squad. That back up quarterback is gifted. Looking forward to Oklahoma next week. That should be another fun game. Im guessing this will be our biggest challenge since Bama. I think we'll be alright. Few things to clean up but we clicking on dam near all cylinders. Running game is lethal, quarterback lethal. Receivers lethal, defense lethal. For the most part our conerbacks and safeties don't give up too many big plays but we're only getting better is what's scary. HOOKEM 🤘!!

They need to close the middle gap or have a spy there .. or go with a 3 4 defense, or have special packages for defense to blitzes or have one safety rush when one on one with a WR that's close to the defense line .. mix it up ...

Best line play I've seen since the 2005 national championship team and I suspect my Horns will also dominate both sides of the line of scrimmage against Oklahoma. Oklahoma -- like Kansas -- hasn't played a team anywhere near the caliber of Texas and, as such, Oklahoma's stats are meaningless going into the Cotton Bowl against Texas. I don't think we will shut them out like last year, but I do think Texas will win another lopsided victory.
Oklahoma hasn’t played a team as good as Texas, I agree. However, SMU is a pretty solid team.
This game is going to forever leave a bad taste in my mouth as a Kansas fan. Not that Texas did anything wrong or my Jayhawks.

If Jalen Daniels wasn’t deemed unfit to play 30 minutes before kickoff. If he was able to play with the game a lot tighter? if Jason had an actual week of preparation instead of being thrust into the starter roll right before your toughest opponent. Either way I’m just happy to be a Kansas fan and to see them actually have a sustainable thing going now.
