Man, rocks get stuck in the steering, ALL the time. Its one of the faults against the entire 3s line. My Typhon, Senton and Granite ALL do the exact same shit. It gets annoying, but really, not a big deal. Something that a V4 should work out, though.
Yea it still slips. The clutch plate is way too weak. I found that the diy method i did had better results then the stock clutch. I don’t get any more slipping and it still holding up til now.
So How Many Runs Did You Have Before You Had To Buy Original Parts? My Slipper Clutch Just Gave Out Yesterday & The Nearest Hobby Shop Is About 45min Drive..😢 Just Want A Temporary Fix.. Till I'm That Side Of Town To Buy Parts..
I’ve been running this truck ever since with the same DIY clutch. Still holding up strong. I’m am convinced after these past couple years that this DIY clutch is soooo much better then the original thin flimsy clutch. You don’t have to take my word for it.
Nice temporary fix there.... I just got my big rock and after 4 or 5 bateries ...spur is gone so I think I'll have to drill out the chassis like yours. Has the hole in the chassis worked ok for you?
Yeah it helps with keeping out all those fine dust that build up when there is no vent or ports for the dust to escape. Those fine dust makes the plastic gear wear out faster too. I usually open up the power module after a few runs and brush everything off with a hand brush or good size paint brush. 👍🍻
Nope! I ran packs after packs in it so far It still holding up strong. As long as the metal is strong like a thick washer, it will hold the pressure on the clutch.
I use the garden hoes to spray it down but don’t over spray the electronics just enough to soak the whole truck then I flip it upside down and let all the water run off and dry. Then you MUST take out all the bearings and lube it. After all is completely dry. I spray WD-40 to give it a shiny clean look. It also help with making the plastic more durable. 👍🍻
Anything that has a bearing gets lubed. I use hopper 9 which is an oil made for oiling gun parts. Sounds weird but it works great on lubing bearings. Don’t use wd-40 beucase it’s a degreaser and it’ll dry up the bearings. I only use wd-40 on the plastics of the rc car to keep it clean.
I was riding and my car maden a very high noise and then my spur gear was fully stript anyone knows what is wrong?? Not very goor english so i hope i Said it right ahah
Pretty dope mod dude!

Same here it always happens
The manual says to losen the slipper 1.5 turns from full tight. Did you do that when you unboxed it by any chance?

@@ItsRCTeng Ooooh WOW! That's Really GOOD To Know!! Thanks Man I Really Appreciate..! 🤙😊🤙
hey ive got the senton with granite tires and my slipper is broken, but what did you use to clean the truck? mine is faded from dirt and clay
Disinfectant wipes and simple green dilute in water. After the clean I use wd40 to coat the truck for a nice clean shine.
@@ItsRCTeng yeah, the wd40 works like crazy, is it safe for the parts or is it only the plastic? It works really well
It’s safe for all parts of the truck. It’s known to make the plastic on any rc car more flexible so it don’t break as easily.

How long did the tiny metal hold up? 1 battery?

Where in california are you located!!!
Sgv
You might want to buy the slipper pad one day. Just to be safe
I am going to buy and replace the whole slipper unit with the original part later in the future. This is just temporary for now. 👍
How do you clean your rc after running through the dust?

@@ItsRCTeng only wheel bearings or gear bearings also?

Your slipper adjustment maybe too tight. Also, if your gears are not mesh properly that can strip the gears too.
@@ItsRCTeng i already found it my slipper clutch was slipping and totally burnt everything. it was loose Bud thanks for your reaction!!😊
Tough revin sob it iz
