Also I have felt very alone in my diagnosis as there is not many people with diagnosis sharing their stories. I also have other autoimmune diseases that contribute to inflammation I have. I am also bipolar and subject to severe depression and anxiety. Anyways I appreciate you sharing your experience.

Thank you for sharing. I have had AIED since 2010 tinnitus since before that. I get severe vertigo attacks and I have hearing loss and I worry it will affect my future with working on computers. Driving and other daily activities.

Hello! Just saw your vid and while I’m not officially diagnosed with Menieres or hydrops I often fear that this may be the case. I have what I can describe to be noise sensitivity, negative pressure in ears, mild hearing distortions, lightheadedness, and when I hear noise from a fan I notice a small beeping. I have been very anxious for the past few week and this could very well be the result of allergies and for all I know once the allergies go away so might all the symptoms but at the end of the day I still don’t know.

Hi Dr. Rose and thank you for all of the information you present. From watching an earlier video I was under the impression that Cochlear Hydrops did not generally progress into Meniere's rather they were different illnesses? Can you speak to the frequency or reasons the CH might progress? Thank you!

It depends on which research article you read. There's still more research to be done. In my case it did turn into manure syndrome. With an underlying autoimmune disease. I believe that there are so many different causes of this particular disease / syndrome. We're still learning. According to one of these articles Meniere's disease is idiopathic. But if there is an underlying cause, it is called Meniere's syndrome. And I believe that cochlear high drops is going to be more related to Meniere's syndrome with some other underlying cause. Whether or not that produces vertigo which is included under the Meniere's definition is based on the individual patient. Hope this helps you, thank you for watching. And thank you for subscribing.

@@DrRoseHelpsYouHear Thank you for the response and the articles! I am having what appears to be cochlear hydrops with out vertigo and having an MRI done in a week. I am afraid of developing the vertigo as it seems life altering. I pray you are able to get your symptoms under control! Thank you!

@@triciametwalli9448 I was vertigo free for 12 years with diuretics and a low sodium diet before the autoimmune component got the best of me. Good luck to you on your hearing journey. ❤️

Just saw your video. I haven't officially been diagnosed with Meniere's or cochlear hydrops but I fear that this might be the case. Been having a low hum tinnitus for 9 days in left ear and people's voices sound robotic. Hearing test showed high freq hearing loss down to 35. Has your tinnitus been constant since the beginning or did you go through long stretches of clarity?

is there any med you take on an on going basis? I diasgonised with Cochlaer Hydrops in 2018 witht that one major attack, and was in remission until a few weeks ago. T_T
The steroid helped, but the lound tinnitus comes back after stopping it for 3 days, and now it flucutates. My doctor just gave me diuretic for 30 days after 2 weeks of steroid. Finger crossed!

YOU ARE DOING ALL THE THINGS. Some think Betahistine helps but I didn't find it helpful. If you have it bilaterally, even just one time and minor, get tested for inflammatory autoimmune disease to rule it out because that is what happened to me and now I'm in remission on the rheumatoid medications.

Low frequencies in music sound distorted to me now. I had pressure in left ear problems for years and high pitch ringing. I normally controll the pressure by not drinking or eating stuff with caffeine. Now the pressure is gone but I'm getting this distortion of the low end in music. The ringing doesn't bother me as I'm used to it after playing bass guitar at concerts at major venues with huge sound systems. One ENT said meniere's the other said no. However, neither could tell me how to clear up my music. My hearing chart isn't bad for my age with just minor loss according to both doctors. What can I do to clear up the music? I had to leave rehearsal because the low frequencies were so distorted I could barely tell what notes I was playing. One doctor perscribed musician's earplugs that allow sound to be heard but dramatically cut the volune down. It's not as bad some days. And no vertigo thank goodness! Conversations and all other hearing is fine most of the time except a couple of days where people and myself sounded like talking through a paper towel tube. Help! Additionally, I'm the audio tech aka soundman at my church and I DJ weddings etc but now I have no idea if the system sounds right unless I ask someone.

See an audiologist who specializes in musical patients. Your ear distortion may be permanent or not. Watch my low sodium video too. Good luck!

@@DrRoseHelpsYouHear Thanks, it comes and goes now that I’m focusing on getting rid of congestion. Three audiologists said I didn’t seem to have significant hearing loss and couldn’t determine the cause. A couple of wholistic health docs helped me via chiropractic adjustments in the head, neck and ear areas and message therapy to help drain the sinuses. There are days I hear perfectly and others the distortion returns. The good days are more frequent than bad progressively.

Do you have any permanent distortion with your hearing? Have you habituated to your tinnitus?

    • @DrRoseHelpsYouHear

Hello Human! Thanks for the comment/question. My low frequencies are off by about a half step when I am stable. When beginning to become active with hearing drops, it distorts more. To the point where people sound like robots under water and men have higher-pitched duck voices.

@@DrRoseHelpsYouHear When you say "off by a half step" do you mean that it sounds normal but with some abnormal sound artifacts due to recruitment or sound sensitivity? I hope youre well, earthling.

@@baseballlive77 I mean that when I am doing hearing tests and wearing the monitor headphones, the tone is going to both of my ears and I can hear a half step difference (like on a piano) where my goodness is on key and my bad ear is a half step sharp. I hope this makes sense. It does this for 250 Hz (middle C) the most and then is unaffected or back in-tune by the time I get to 1000 Hz.

After watching a lot of your content. One thing is obvious. It is not possible for you to make a bad video - Ever. The problem, you've been gone for a year.
Also do you like skinny tattooed guys who are not doctors? No reason, just being social.
