Smurfing, camping, spawn-killing, stream-sniping, playing as a cheap character, etc. you sure as hell reminded me of one of the main reasons I prefer single-player games
Playing as a cheap character? If it's in the game, it's the devs intention that it will be used. It's no one's fault if you feel butt hurt because of it.
@@kenzer1614 If the character is cheap enough to even make noobs dominate (Gon in Tekken 3 and Shao Kahn in the early MK games), it's a serious tilt on the roster. There's no denying that. One of the main factors in multiplayer games is balancing, meaning to make the playing field as even as possible, and the devs clearly failed in that with cheap characters being playable.
They made a game around that concept though, "screen cheat" (4-player split scrren multiplayer fps), because the characters/players are invisible, the only way you can know where someone is, is by looking at their portion of the screen

Never play on a noob's account in games were it try's to match the skill level of the players because that is pretty much cheating when a pro is in a round full of noob's
Ah yes, false reporting. I was in the top 10 on the leaderboard of UFC 3 on Xbox One for almost a year. I never cheated or even messaged people, but my account was temp banned twice for cheating and permanently banned for supposed "excessive greifing/trolling." I got the ban overturned after 3 weeks of back and forth with EA and Microsoft customer service. Now I'm afraid to even play the damn game so I had to make a 2nd account for it. It's ridiculous that you can be punished for simply being good at a game.

@@pardalmadgod9960 So I'm really curious how/why you would have gotten reported on Warframe. I mean the game is co-op only with a very tiny portion of the game being pvp. I guess someone didn't like your build or something?

Lmao I just remembered thanks to this vid how my father fluffed me over when I was young. Back when I was around 6 or 7 I was forbidden to play "brutal games"... Still played quake and doom on school computers... I wanted to play Cod mw2 which was new back than and at first I got shouted at for playing but my father suddenly said "let him play" and gave me this weird smile and since I am not from English speaking country I passed the tutorial but couldn't pass the first mission cus I didn't knew the game told me to clear the bridge and protect the transport and I threw a tantrum cus I was a kid after all and than he told me to turn the game off. He actually encouraged me to learn English by that and now I'm actually really good in English. My grammar isn't so good sadly but when it comes to speaking people think I come from Scotland cus of my accent so let's take this opportunity. Thank you dad for fluffing with me and making me to get into languages and playing video games
A similar thing to the laughing at noobs one is just being an elitist snob about people's avatars, their gear, skins, or level. Basically looking down on people who spent less time or money on the game than you, or have "worse" taste. It's really condescending and asinine. Specifically, I made my avatar look like myself in Second Life, and everyone made fun of me because I didn't look like an 8 foot tall, jacked, European Gigolo with leather pants. I never changed it either.. fuck those guys.
Someone reported one of my livestreams of ac odyssey and it was banned and removed for having copywrited ubisoft music. A legit livestream of a ubisoft game banned for copywriting over that. From ubisoft. Its one of my most streamed games currently and i was shocled that it happened and ubisoft had actually taken it down.
Long ago, when I was a whippersnapper, I had brought my copy of Starfox 64 to my friend's house. I played it and got a high score, far higher than I'd ever gotten previously. I had to go to the bathroom something fierce. After the credits on Starfox 64 you can enter initials if you make the high score table. You can't skip the credits and I hadda go badly, so I went then. It took some time to finish and when I went back out I found that my friend had entered his initials on my high score. I was pissed. He thought it hilarious. It's been over twenty years and he still hasn't apologized. We're still friends, though. Which reminds me, I really need to call him back...
The lack of etiquette has nothing to do with gamers being gamers, and has everything to do with people being people. Online gaming was once a niche, and did have etiquette. An etiquette that was enforced by the community, until gaming became mainstream and the general population, that didn't know about this etiquette, flooded into online gaming. Suddenly hundreds of thousands of people participating in online gaming didn't see anything wrong with sabotaging other peoples gaming experiences to enrich their own. I do remember a time not that long ago when the type of people listed here were not tolerated by anyone.
3:08 This is hilairious because I _actually_ started playing at two years old. One of the first games I ever played was one of the GTA games, too, lol.
#3 is what ruined doing gta online matches for me back in the day, you'd be waiting for someone to join a match for 10-15 mins, finally someone does, match starts, dude leaves, mission fails, start again.
I understand the desire to have all games in one Central spot or on one specific app, but that's just not practical. That's like complaining that people should never use Hulu because a show they have isn't on Netflix. Seeing how steam, Uplay, epic, ext are all free, that just makes it more odd why people complain. If you want to play a game, you should play it, no matter what platform or app it's on.
Right, because for once Steam, a plataform that time and time again wil overcharge you for everything except their sales finally gets competition you all want to sabotaje it.
1: reporting for no Reason Me: well that Happened to Me but i didnt get banned ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^) Also i guess its Kinda nice 'cause you Know that you're THAT gid at the game to make Someone report you XD
#3 in overwatch is extreemely annoying. I stoppped counting how often i got put in a already lost match like 20 seconds before the round is over. - I get my participation XP, but i have to wait through all loading screens, the game summary and other "tara" while i barely got to spawn and join the fight. It's just a huge waste of time on my side and all of that because someone coudn't stay for the last 30 seconds of the match.
I've unfortunately HAD players quit on my team in online matches in Splatoon and Splatoon 2, even during SPLATFESTS, and it cost me and my chosen side some CRUCIAL matches during those splatfests; I get MAD when that sorta thing happens.
Yoder023 this is very infuriating for someone like me, I have played FPS games since the day I could wipe my own ass and generally I’m reported or called out for using walls or using an aim assistant. I’m just playing the game I’m not trying to be an ass about it.
@@Loadstar720 That's the catch. You lose: Git gud scrub You win: Reported for cheating I was banned a week for cheating on Xbox 360, don't even know how I could have cheated in 1 and only 1 game. It's the only game I was great at.

2:50 Finch was not a gamer. Finch was an otherwise uninvolved party whose address was given to Bariss by the other party. Yeah, just making sure you know this. Also, this shit happened not far from me... 7:33 You usually mention the offline interruption caveat, surprised you didn't this time... Aim Assists for the lesser able (due to disabilities) should never be a topic of contention, but I've heard of corporations issuing bans for those players as well. That right there, is a litigation minefield. Game corporations, don't harm your player base in this way. Assist tools are designed with the lesser able in mind and are hardware level things. Aiming, input, among many other things. There's no reason that the lesser able players should have to deal with corporate idiots, same as DRM should not exist for the original DOOM games, or really, exist at all. Yeah, fuck DRM and fuck greed.
This is one point where you should just say disabled when you mean it, rather than "lesser able" . "Lesser able" sounds like someone who is just bad at playing. Disabled is some who will be effectively unable to play the game without some kind of assist. If you say "aim assist is ok for less able players" it's indistinguishable from "aim assist is ok for bad players".
First item reminds me of how a Widowmaker reported me in Overwatch for using an aim bot as Mercy, because I was decent at leading targets and getting headshots, and they weren't...
Yeah halo reach was bad but also good for me and my cousins. Like big team battle our team would leave so it would basically be 3 on 8, we would still end up winning. So many legendary matches like that. Miss reach when people played

for number 3 I do have some points. Honestly as a husband and a father I enjoy my time playing some games but sometimes life gets in the way. I try not to do any ranked games if I am not 100% sure I can finish them but sometimes you are playing casual games with random people and your wife suddenly feels unwell or one of your kids falls and hurts himself. What are you going to do? Keep playing and tell your family that some random people on the internet are more important than them? I left a normal draft pick game of league of legends once because my 3 year old child tripped and hit his head had to go to the hospital and he needed stitches. when the situation was under control the next day I had like a little over an hour to play a game and because everyone reported me for being afk I had to sit out a 30 minute timer so I ended up not being able to play. Sure I get why that is a thing but honestly sometimes you cant help but leave the game early.
If some players puts up a room and says hackers welcome that indicates they need help in killing boss really fast so they can get items really fast without the need for failing and trying again, which is time consuming. I know what this is like its annoying id rather a hacker come in help me get my gear off boss drops and so I can continue to enjoy the game instead of get frustrated because I keep dying as an example, Ive been there so sometimes its cool for hackers to help you so to speed up things otherwise I'll end up dropping the game early and moving on and that's less player base within the game to play with, but if i had the items I want I'd end up playing the game and helping other players get theirs thus keeping me in the game longer and a higher playerbase means no waiting to get co-op gameplay going.
@@Riansend That's because what you're talking about isn't truly DLC. Those are just microtransactions designed to wring a little more money out of you for content that's probably already in the original game's code but locked behind a pay wall. A true DLC is actual content. Assassin's Creed: Origins did this pretty well...the two DLC packs added quite a few hours of enjoyable gameplay into the mix. I don't normally go for that sort of thing because I'm an old school gamer and still at times feel that the game you buy should be the game you get but it was a special edition so I went with it.
I was false reported for refusing to pay for hacked lobbies in trials of Osiris in D2 and I got comm banned. I then proceeded to lose my Xbox Ambassadorship because of it...
Quitting early because you’re losing and getting upset over it, I agree. But, if something comes up in real life, that comes first over the game. I don’t play in ranked modes or anything like that, or if I am, it’s one v one, so it’s only detrimental to me. I play quick play, casual, whatever, and if something comes up in real life that’s more important than pushing a bunch of buttons, I will leave without hesitation. I won’t play any ranked match with teammates unless I KNOW I won’t have to leave early.
Number one reminded me of when I spent over 9 hour to build less than half of a skyscraper in minecraft and then my friends joined One of them helped me build something in the end while the other one covered my skyscraper in TnT I left the end to continue working on the skyscraper only to find a giant crater He later tried to make me turn on the one who helped me by saying he was distracting me (possible but unlikely as he already knows how I am after losing hours of work). This isn't the only thing he did, he also destroyed over an hour of command block programming and destroyed my mansion multiple times One of the worst things was when he covered it in dragon heads, I ended up accidentally doing a bit of damage because of their annoying hitbox

Redressful Patch Normally you’re just sending a lot of packets that contain a lot so you’re slowing down their system because of how much is needed to be processed.
People often leave matches not just because they are sore losers, but also because they may actually need to leave maybe a medical emergency or just have stuff to do and can't keep playing for hours upon end. I have been in situations where I absolutely needed to go somewhere unplanned and I don't want to distract the other players by a non moving player who they are expecting to help them.
Only time I try to get people kicked or banded is if they're getting in the way of me playing the game. Blowing up vehicles, making friendlies visible to enemy's, giving vehicles to the enemy... Stuff like that. I'll make them tk me or something till they get banned or kicked
I don't know why but in TF2 when someone thinks someone else is annoying, instead of using the mute system, they just immediately resort to vote kicking them. And for some reason the second people here a kid on a mic they immediately want to kick them. Because that will increase the size of the community.
How to deal with trolls: Step 1: remove them from your gaming experiences, as in we don't play the same lobby anymore now and forever. Step 2: Keep taps on who the Troll/Griefer's friends are through the friends list. If you see a match to the the individual in question, treat them the same as Step 1. Think of a disease you want to contain the spread of the infection. Step 3: Never accept an outsider to your world or lobby unless someone you know is willing to put their reputation on the line
i actualy enjoy playing against peps who are better than me its a great way to improve and learn from them i got a lot btter in bo4 after i played against a team of lvl1000 you learn so much
I remember when I first played Fortnite I didn't know what kind of game it was, there was no tutorial or anything, so whenever I got killed I would report every player thinking that's bad. I watched, and asked, on Twitch which upset people and eventually learned I can't play it. There is not enough space to improve so I quit.
I was playing Xenoverse 2 the other day and during a Raid match, the Host (who had their mic on) apparently had someone run over something near his property. Yet like a pro he stayed in the game and even got the 1st Place Contributor bonus (I got 2nd Place Contributor which I was fine with as the guy deserved it for being a GENTLEMAN). Goes to show you there are some good gamers out there who have to deal with $hit in real life, but don't let it ruin the game for everyone else (as if the host left then I believe the match would have ended, though I thought they were going to leave the match on while they dealt with the issue outside their house, so I was surprised when they continued to play, though at the end of the match they said they were going to go check on it. I ended up having them as the host in two other matches though the third one ended with error that caused a disconnect, though I would gladly play with them again). Now if your not the Host, you can leave the match and it would effect anything as the game's CPU takes over (this can still $crew the team if you need to have actual players depending upon how hard the Raid boss is, though at least you can still play the match).
I have recently started scaling back my multiplayer activity and now I'm playing more single player games now than multiplayer games cuz I can't stand listening to the toxic people on Grand Theft Auto or any other multiplayer game. I object to #3, quitting early, when its 1 V 1 and you say "who really cares about that?" I play Tekken 7 and when people quit early (rage quit) I don't get credit for the win or receive points towards my rank. I put in the effort to win a match and right before I land the winning hit; the other player decides to just puss out, rob me of a legit win, and suffer no consequence for it. Its bullshit.
When people get mad because you did better at a pve game so they dm you calling you trash even though you did the best in the lobby. It's really an odd thing to get messaged for.
i only cheat and hack in single player games/mods (for example, in the monika after story mod for ddlc, i edited a file in the game directory to manually change monika's affection to it's maximum possible value, another example is that i modded my 2ds and edited my new leaf save)
I hate people like that. I remember playing RuneScape and someone else reported me a couple of times and I kept getting automatically logged out. It was super annoying because I was just trying to get better by mining so I could get armor and weapons. I STILL play RuneScape at 25 because I still think it's fun. I like games like this.
I think the worst leavers are the ones who leave in the middle of a GTA online heist. That fails everybody that now have to restart. Those are the worst
When you’re playing something like destiny, the division or warframe and join one of those coop missions with a random player and said player has clearly done the mission a million times so before your eyes even adjust to the screen the other player is half way through the mission taking all the xp and loot leaving you behind. This is a problem I’ve had mainly coz I don’t have friends who play the same games as me or who are online as much as me. It’s because of this that a play games like these alone as much as possible (until it forces me into a coop mission, luckily games aren’t doing that as much)

@@cynicalnitro8416 Fair point. Much more subjective than it used to be, in sniping someone by just looking at their screen
They made a game around that concept though, "screen cheat" (4-player split scrren multiplayer fps), because the characters/players are invisible, the only way you can know where someone is, is by looking at their portion of the screen

Ah yes, false reporting. I was in the top 10 on the leaderboard of UFC 3 on Xbox One for almost a year. I never cheated or even messaged people, but my account was temp banned twice for cheating and permanently banned for supposed "excessive greifing/trolling."

A similar thing to the laughing at noobs one is just being an elitist snob about people's avatars, their gear, skins, or level. Basically looking down on people who spent less time or money on the game than you, or have "worse" taste. It's really condescending and asinine.

@@bobdobbz9334 Im sure you can figure it out. Idk all I can say is that most gamers could use a bit of etiquette.
I agree. We can only advise them but not all will agree or follow or even be a good sportsman.

#1: gamers should never buy off the epic store
Why? I see the outrage but idk what it’s about
SoVersetile bad business practices, poaching games from steam which is very harmful for consumers, and overall just a lousy, poorly optimized store.
Enrique Gutierrez no it’s just that the store itself sucks not the games

I had heard that about Finch, as well.

for number 3 I do have some points.

I know what this is like its annoying id rather a hacker come in help me get my gear off boss drops and so I can continue to enjoy the game instead of get frustrated because I keep dying as an example, Ive been there so sometimes its cool for hackers to help you so to speed up things otherwise I'll end up dropping the game early and moving on and that's less player base within the game to play with, but if i had the items I want I'd end up playing the game and helping other players get theirs thus keeping me in the game longer and a higher playerbase means no waiting to get co-op gameplay going.
...Accept microtransactions in full priced games 😓.

@@Saiban0 dlc's are cheaper now than before. Or at least for some things like maps
Redressful Patch Normally you’re just sending a lot of packets that contain a lot so you’re slowing down their system because of how much is needed to be processed.
Quitting when you're not impostor is the worst thing you could do
People often leave matches not just because they are sore losers, but also because they may actually need to leave maybe a medical emergency or just have stuff to do and can't keep playing for hours upon end.
How to deal with trolls:
Step 1: remove them from your gaming experiences, as in we don't play the same lobby anymore now and forever.

I object to #3, quitting early, when its 1 V 1 and you say "who really cares about that?" I play Tekken 7 and when people quit early (rage quit) I don't get credit for the win or receive points towards my rank.
