At one time I had a 2 meter radio with vox and unintentionally it would key when driving. when I discovered the error I turn vox off then went on line using my call sign and apologized to those hams who had been using the repeater. we lll make mistakes but self- correct. I value my ham license (since 1977) and want to keep on the up and up. 73
Exactly. Communicating with a station refusing to ID is akin to communicating with an unlicensed station, it’s illegal to communicate with an unlicensed station. If a station refuses to ID I always move on and ignore them.
This goes on sometimes on HF 40m with people keying over not sure why they do it, maybe they want to talk to you or maybe they have a problem with you, do you known this person if not just egnore them it works :) 73's
Yours is very interactive. There's one in the Philadelphia, PA area on the W3DI repeaters. Drives me nuts. He should have his radio license revoked and his equipment confiscated. Among other things.
Nothing new here, WI8W has been jamming the local simplex frequencies just north of Detroit for several years now. There are many recordings of him doing this along with a several other so-called HAM operators. Word has it the FCC is now monitoring the Detroit area traffic due to several complaints
This is sad state of Ham radio. then people acknowledge him and then it fuel's his actions more. When you people going to learn not to acknowledge these jammers.
that guy.........a VE......har har har whoever tested with him and or gave him that VE spot isn't very bright unless this is a local joker and its all good games n stuff
you know as well as I do he won't be a ham for long that's just the way that Kansas City used to deal with there jammers in general I seen several different occasions where they would hook a chain to the offender's antennas and pull down the antenna and a couple of occasions Mr FCC would go and confiscate all of the radio equipment but that's another topic CLARENCE SWOPE N0SPW
Oh, we have a thousand of them here in East Tennessee. They will shut down a Repeater the second you say anything they don't like. Like calling them out for there Mr. Know-it-all BS that always has to jump in and give his opinion and world knowledge even though he never left is home town....
Talking to him feeds his rant even more.
Does USECA want to claim him as an example of club hams?

First mistake was acknowledging him. As soon as you did that he had all the motivation he needed :(

3 real operators with portable yagis and step attenuators would have this guy pinged in 5 minutes or less. 😅
One guy with a KrakenSDR can find him pretty quick
Lid jimmy jammer
I think he is just being funny and annoying. I'd entertain him if he entertains me though.
the whole radio community has gone mad ,not just there, they are all over the world! im selling all my equipment !
Don’t let a few bad apples ruin the ham radio experience for you.
It all started way back in the 80s when the 11 meter mutts were allowed in part of the 2meter band .
Don't let the door hit you on the way out
