@@prismriot4910 I was actually surprised at times that I am charting top in damage running SM when I just dont hold back and just do two handed DPS arms(specially with bonebiter and all the buff). The downside of course is that I am mostly mana tanking, with priest going OOM a lot though, increasing downtime so yeah.... 😮💨 /equip mainhand /equip shield
2 Things to note while leveling: Staffs and Spirit. First staffs: Staffs tend to do WAY more dmg than their lvl should allow. Especially quest rewards. Use them. Even if they have Int or Spirit. Speaking of spirit: Get a addon to manage equipment and get every bit of spirit you can get. When out of combat: Switch to your spirit gear (Be it cloth or plate, doesn't matter). This DRASTICALLY reduces downtime.
I played as a warrior after having very little luck as a warlock and hunter when finding groups for dungeons and raids. Sure, lots of DPS, but rouges and mages could do that too and much better. But NO ONE could really replace a protection warrior with good gear and the corresponding skills. "LFG insert-dungeon-here prot warrior lvl xx" was all I had to type in and there would at least by five responses in the first two minutes.

In my original run of wow i played shaman and mage, but a pal of mine really liked warrior. At one time he let me play with his war for a few days. I absolutely loved it. I mean what is not to love, if you are an old school gamer that enjoys a bit of a challenge, the warrior is by far the most complex class to play, that easy to learn, difficult to master, kind of deal. Most of your best damage abilities are split between battle stance and berzerker stance, with defensive being more for tanking or surviving tough enemies. But when you learn to do proper stance dancing, make a few useful macros that help you jump stance AND use an ability from that stance too, the game becomes much more enjoyable. With most casters and hunter you will only be using 3-4 buttons max, but with the warrior you have to become a piano keyboard master, switching stances at the right time to use a powerful AOE off CD, switch stance to use that sweet overpower proc, switch again to cast a rage ability then switch to defensive with an equip macro that automatically puts on your shield so you can shield bash an enemy caster and so on. With proper macro knowledge and mastering the stance dance, the warrior is the most compllex and interesting class to play in WoW. During my run in classic i was going to take it easy and i mostly played a fury war that tanked 5 mans well and participated in most raids, fury spec was the best for me because i always had enough fury to use most of my abilities and it had some nice utility as well. But my ultimate goal was to get that sweet red armor set with spikes from ZG that makes you look like a proper ORC WARRIOR. After i got all the pieces and looked badass, i stopped playing. It was mission accomplished for me!

@@jazzfunk5680 Yes, it was in early vanilla - then they nerfed /sit hits to be hits that dealt double damage, from being crits. This removed the proc effect while sitting. So people tested it in the demo, and it wasn't possible to get the procs off of Martyrdom (priest) there, so it is likely that they wont put it in.
@@solmyr42 I don't remember that at all. Cleared almost all of naxx, and always abused sitting to get recks. I don't know about the damage thing, but I remember getting the stacks.

One of my old guild member use to be a fury warrior but he use to wear leather crit gear. He would be up there with the mages in dps. There was so many crazy builds we use to run and test, so much fun, not so much to heal tho :P Classic was versatile like that.
That spear you get from the level 51 quest of winning the alterac valley : life for you, death upon your ennemies. Also, level 48 is the turning point that makes warrior the most powerful class of the 40-49 BGs, provided you have the money or luck to get the incredible gear you can equip at that level. Every twink will fall. And from then on, rogues are your toys.

Hitting a drinking/eating target with a melee attack would always result in a crit., because of the target sitting. You can even see Vurtne (Vanilla Mage) melee another mage, when he sits down to drink and crit him. This was definitely a thing and not unknown at all. If you didn't know about this, you are the casual lol

Couple of things id like to correct in this guide. Dont hate pls, 1 he is showing a human duel wielding with the fury tree. You level with a 2 DW gets you to much miss rate. 2 He is saying that you probably want to respec to prot if you want to tank at 60. You really dont. You want 12 points in prot for last stand and improved shield block and you might respec way later but for dungeons at 60 full prot would be worse actually. 3 "Last stand has a 10 minute cooldown so you will have to use it wisely" Shield wall has a way longer CD. 30 or 60min not sure.

I leveled with a protection warrior. I know, madness, but I honestly had no interest in constantly stance dancing, switching gear and being less capable in dungeons as a tank. I wanted to be the best tank possible and that can only really be done by going with protection. Your job is to hold aggro and absorb damage, not dealing it.
Easy way to get around the hard leveling. Level with a buddy - my wife is playing as a priest and we are steam rolling content. Easily taking on 3 mobs at a time that are our level
its a nice video, but i am wondering why didnt you mention the fury 2h leveling. Basicly fury with 2 pieces of 1 handed weapons is a no go while leveling as you just cannot gather enough hit rating to work with, but if u use those talents with a 2h weapon (ofc in this case you dont need talents like increase of you off hand weapon's dmg etc..) it simply the most dmg you can push out in leveling gear. Another thing is the lvl "30" whirlwind axe... yea so basicly you can start it at lvl 30, it is true, but it is a pretty decent quest chain, where most of the time you need to kill lvl 36+ npcs. As a warrior to level, you never want to do orange or red level quests, as you do not have decent sustain. So you basicly are hunting on green and yellow level quests, where you must kill npcs on your level (not 2 or 3 more lvl..) or what is even better under your level (at lvl 30 you wanna kill lvl 26-30 npcs). If you try to kill orange or red level npcs then you just simply risking of a shameful, time consuming death or the mentioned 1 food / 1 npc slow leveling (eating up your full level is a minimum 20 sec waiting...). Also the end of that quest is a group Q where you must kill a lvl 38 elite or something like that, you cannot do that alone at lvl 30. The other option is to do almost the whole quest chain in a group, but to find ppl for this quest is not a simple task, i mean nobody, where i mean literally NOBODY needs anything from this Q only warriors, so finding healers/other classes is only an option if you have good friends and/or guild mates whos like to waste a decent 3-4 hours (maybe more, depends on how many ppl are farmin those elementals, world pvp ftw) of their time to farm you a weapon, what you will basicly swap after 12 levels (at 42-44 , so it is not even close to lvl 60). Another option is to find a group of warriors, to do the whole chain quest, where almost every quest is like farm 10-20 pieces of items (where every kill has a chanse to drop for only 1 party member..), especially the arathi highland parts, where you need to farm low drop chanse items from lvl 37-38 elementals (i am not sure but even if those are boe items, you wont buy those in the AH while you are leveling your first character, as you will struggling to gather enough money even on the slower mount at lvl 40, what means so much more than a shiny axe). Not to mention that even if you are a full group of lvl 30 warriors, i highly doubt you will be able to kill the last elite boss without any heal :D So yea the lvl "30" warrior axe sounds good if you have some lvl 35+ friends whos are up to waste time to farm it for you (a lot of time.), but in other cases just ignore it and try to get some shiny weapons from a dungeons like SM armory herod's axe, SM cath mace from last boss or RFK axe, maybe a gnomeregan axe those are decent options between lvl 30-40 where you would use the quest reward.
ATTENTION GAMERS: /sitting to proc abilities WILL NOT be in Classic. Sorry for the misinformation!

The whirlwind axe quest line is available at level 30 however, without help from a high level, it’s unlikely that you’ll obtain it until 40ish.
Even in BC as a prot warrior I was whispered quite often to tank dungeons

I leveled with a protection warrior. I know, madness, but I honestly had no interest in constantly stance dancing, switching gear and being less capable in dungeons as a tank. I wanted to be the best tank possible and that can only really be done by going with protection. Your job is to hold aggro and absorb damage, not dealing it.

Easy way to get around the hard leveling. Level with a buddy - my wife is playing as a priest and we are steam rolling content. Easily taking on 3 mobs at a time that are our level

its a nice video, but i am wondering why didnt you mention the fury 2h leveling. Basicly fury with 2 pieces of 1 handed weapons is a no go while leveling as you just cannot gather enough hit rating to work with, but if u use those talents with a 2h weapon (ofc in this case you dont need talents like increase of you off hand weapon's dmg etc..) it simply the most dmg you can push out in leveling gear.
Another thing is the lvl "30" whirlwind axe... yea so basicly you can start it at lvl 30, it is true, but it is a pretty decent quest chain, where most of the time you need to kill lvl 36+ npcs. As a warrior to level, you never want to do orange or red level quests, as you do not have decent sustain. So you basicly are hunting on green and yellow level quests, where you must kill npcs on your level (not 2 or 3 more lvl..) or what is even better under your level (at lvl 30 you wanna kill lvl 26-30 npcs). If you try to kill orange or red level npcs then you just simply risking of a shameful, time consuming death or the mentioned 1 food / 1 npc slow leveling (eating up your full level is a minimum 20 sec waiting...).
Also the end of that quest is a group Q where you must kill a lvl 38 elite or something like that, you cannot do that alone at lvl 30.
The other option is to do almost the whole quest chain in a group, but to find ppl for this quest is not a simple task, i mean nobody, where i mean literally NOBODY needs anything from this Q only warriors, so finding healers/other classes is only an option if you have good friends and/or guild mates whos like to waste a decent 3-4 hours (maybe more, depends on how many ppl are farmin those elementals, world pvp ftw) of their time to farm you a weapon, what you will basicly swap after 12 levels (at 42-44 , so it is not even close to lvl 60).
Another option is to find a group of warriors, to do the whole chain quest, where almost every quest is like farm 10-20 pieces of items (where every kill has a chanse to drop for only 1 party member..), especially the arathi highland parts, where you need to farm low drop chanse items from lvl 37-38 elementals (i am not sure but even if those are boe items, you wont buy those in the AH while you are leveling your first character, as you will struggling to gather enough money even on the slower mount at lvl 40, what means so much more than a shiny axe). Not to mention that even if you are a full group of lvl 30 warriors, i highly doubt you will be able to kill the last elite boss without any heal :D
So yea the lvl "30" warrior axe sounds good if you have some lvl 35+ friends whos are up to waste time to farm it for you (a lot of time.), but in other cases just ignore it and try to get some shiny weapons from a dungeons like SM armory herod's axe, SM cath mace from last boss or RFK axe, maybe a gnomeregan axe those are decent options between lvl 30-40 where you would use the quest reward.
