“The Dark Side Of The Force Is A Pathway To Many Abilities Some Consider To Be Unnatural.” 😂😂
One word of caution regarding the Trotec - having worked with one at a previous employer, they can get out of alignment really, really easily. The gantry belts are super tiny and once they start to get a little bit of stretch in them, it's a struggle to get everything back to 0/0. That said, your work is beyond amazing and your success is a true inspiration. May the laser treat you well for all your future customs and keep crafting!
Thanks for that info! I will definitely keep an eye on that 🤙🏼
As a hobby leather worker, getting a small laser was by far the best decision of the year! Sure I can't really cut acrylic and stuff like that, but just being able to etch your art into leather goods is so much fun and opened up a whole new level of creativity for me! A laser is just another tool that lets you create, so all that "not hand made" rage is BS.
Love the creativity!
hey what kind of laser did u buy? and where?
Where did you get that laser machine?
You have your emboss/deboss the wrong way around. Deboss puts an image into the leather. Emboss raises it up from the surface. So your large crown is embossing.
Guys, your videography is as outstanding as your leather craftsmanship. Its a pleasure to watch.
Started the first 3 years of the business on a rented Trotec they are incredible. REALLY sucks to have go back to a stepper motor after using a Speedy system. The laser hate is at an all-time low these days but I have some hall of fame saved e-mails from a few years ago about how I was "ruining the craft". 😆
Haha dude! I hear you.. all the unnecessary hate. I appreciate you homie!
I've been struggling to figure out something to do with my laser lately. This gives me new ideas. Thank you!!
Yea! So many things man.
I love the laser work. I have found that my cnc has completely changed the way I prototype.
Yea! Absolutely man 🙌🏼
Thank you for making this video Ryan. It's extremely helpful. Grateful.
Thanks Louis!
Lasers are awesome! We use a Thunder Laser. One thing to note is that with a CO2 laser such as these, you really need to make sure that you are using veg tanned leather (which I know you do). Other tanning processes can cause toxic fumes when hit with the laser.
It's alway's good when you learn something new every day!.
Just goes to show how much technology has come along in the past few years!
Yea! Loving the capabilities of these machines for sure 🙌🏼
I love it when you put out a new video I've been an avid watcher of your content for a long time now always entertaining!
Thanks for watching!
I wish more people appreciate the work you put out
What a great video, we love it! 🤩🙌🏼
Thanks for letting me borrow the laser!
Lasers are awesome
I'm fortunate to be able to use a large laser in my job. A must have for a creative!
You got my attention….Can you do a video on debossing? Or give me details on how you created the pieces in your video. Thx! Love your work.
Yea for sure!
a laser, just like your knives and punches; is a tool. And, one uses the tools available to them. cheers, Ryan.
I think I smiled through this whole video 😆
So it’s a RIP for the Glowgorge? Didn’t you use the glowforge for the Watch straps and the mini logos on leather?
Nope! Just using the Trotec for a bit since I’m borrowing it 🤙🏼
Awesome!!!❤
don't worry about the people complaining you use machines, I mean for me I'm a fulltime painter (of homes) right now, own company so I can't complain but I would love switch to leather craft fulltime someday, I'm doing it a lot in the evening and nights but not yet where I want to be with quality etc. anyway, if you are growing an empire why not be innovative like you are? why hate on being able to do more in less time, I think you're doing a wonderful job and I'm learning a lot from you, thankyou very much and I hope you'll keep up the great work!
Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate that. Keep practicing the side hustle. I wish you all the best!
@@LittleKingGoods thankyou very much, will meet you at the top someday!✊🏻
Machines are just cool! They help make things better, faster and more accurate. I mean, I can understand the people „complaining“. They have the comprehension that every single thing has to be done with hand and hand tools. But when something’s works out for someone, why should you differ from that?? If you would do everything by pure hand, people couldn’t afford it at all. As a hobby leather crafter I’d love to have a laser to make these prototypes and get your ideas to leather pieces in no time! But that has to wait until another time!🤪🤓
True words!
I made some acrylic stamps today. The laser is an amazing tool. I cut almost all my leather work on a lasers, I have 2 100w. I talked to a person that takes 30+ minutes to cut out/punch holes of each wallet they make. I make a very similar wallet, I cut out 12 wallets in 20 minutes, stitch holes included.
How do you wash the soot from the skin after cutting?
@@ankval73 Can wet the leather and it wont leave soot. I dont get soot on mine even when dry if using Veg-tan leather. Need to make sure the lowest settings and still cut thru. I make hundreds of wallets, purses etc.
Круто!!
Deboss is new love😍
I use leather mostly as a hobby right now, but I think a laser would be super fun! And I dabble in most art forms, so it would definitely help out with other stuff too! My question is this: is there a cheaper laser somewhere the cost of which could be justified in a smaller, less lucrative case?
Yea there are tons of lasers on the market. Different price ranges for sure. Not familiar with many of them but I’m sure you could spend some time on RUclips researching them 😊
Всегда ваш поклонник!...
Wellcome to the future - lasers, files, syntetic materials and machines! I'm going to the shop to buy a woman-robot : it's easier, more effective, and more quiet... 😁
Congrats for the laser, I like it! 🙂
If i want to just focus on watch strap and wallet. Which leaser print should I buy?
awesome content
Thanks for the update and info. Appreciate it sana.
Glad, I am not the only one following from East Africa.
@@abtotheku lol, as a crafter willing to learn, following the best is a good shot..glad to know you are here too.
LKG has positively impacted many of us. Not only by sharing his skills but a lot of business advices as well.
doesnt the laser burn and blacken the sides tho? is there any detriment to the finished product?
Finally, you're using a laser that can keep up to your standards. Trotec and Epilog are worth the investment.
Hi :) its also possible to make these stamps in glowforge? Thx for answer ;)
Has this replaced your Glow Forge?
Just for the time being. The glowforge is still a great machine 🤙🏼
What sort of masking are you using to protect the leather at its cut? It looks like it does a great job!
It’s masking tape from Trotec
You're a tough guy. Explain why? I live in Russia and don't know English, but I still watch your videos. I don't understand a word, but I understand the whole point perfectly. Keep making quality!
Thanks for hanging out!
How different is this from your older glowforge pro?
Will you be doing MagSafe wallets soon? I would definitely pick this up over an apple wallet any day of the week!
Can i ask about the battern how can i get it and from where ?
Siz bu işi biliyorsunuz Sn. Little king goods
Nice video
How do you get rid of the "burnt skin smell" after lasercutting?
Yes. This + the soot, ash or dust residue comes with cutting leather. Advise how you deal with this
Are you ok? Hope all is well with you.
Yea doing well! You too 🙌🏼
Can you do a deboss design for me and how much would you charge
i am still
poor🤣using sculpfun s9… someday hope to get into higher machine$
Like the new laser but what happend to the glowforge ?
I actually got a different laser than the trotec in the end. It was too much out of my price range. I went with a Aeon nova 14:
aeonlaser.us/contact?ref=LKG
@@LittleKingGoods that's awesome do you ever use your glowforge anymore
Wondered since you're an advocate whether you were going to make your patterns in SVG so some of us can learn more on the lasers with quality patterns from LKG?
Do all Canadian youtubers travel by one wheels?
Yea I think it’s a requirement 😂
I love my laser man. It's been such a useful and exciting tool for me
For sure!
Top
Do you still have your glowforge?
Yup! Just using the Trotec for a bit now that I have it for a little before it goes back.
I cannot afford. Your wasted tool which you wont use . Is there any way you sale me cheap please 🙏
Don't wear make-up lol
3 minutes of intro? really man? no need for that, love your content but its getting annoying
