I grew Leeks for the first time last year, waiting until November to harvest as they were then looking huge and in lovely condition. Pulled them up and all were full of leaf miner chrysalis. I'm having a year without Leeks in the hope they don't return

Pests in my garden include my blimmin dogs who will harvest their own radishes, carrots, beets, peas, brassicas, and latest discovery - tomatoes if they can. I’m having to strengthen my defences! Again. Grrr…..

You should put some of the grass trimmings around your gorilla plantings.

We are moving to Northumberland, if we ever sell our house. We usually holiday at Longframlington, so Rothbury is a favourite walk. Amazing number of tractors! Farmers do that at Christmas near us

i found that if i put slug pellets in the hole then plant and infil with pelleys in the infil then pellets around the top of the soil seems to deter the slugs better as most often they attack from underground

That brassica damage might be pigeons. They love to sit on the netting, weigh it down and peck through it.

Just sorted my compost bins today, great minds 😂. Cleared my brassica bed and found a load of red onions that were all squishy so not usable , not sure what caused that 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
