My goodness, wish we lived closer, my mum really wants some lovely big logs to put in the garden as a feature, I bet there's some good ones in the secret place! Not too many trees / wooded areas around here in the Fens.

I’ve made perfect compost using wood-chip combined with coffee grounds , comfrey, grass and weeds. The weeds I store up and place at the centre of the initial heap. I turn the heap 4 times over 2 years adding only comfrey, coffee, grass and water each time. Need to find a old tea urn to sterilise the compost for seed sowing and top layer on beds. Received fine wood-chip today with loads of fresh green leaves, perfect for composting.
You can never have too much wood Tony, take it as cut lengths and store it on pallets, next year you can cut to length/split and season for winter 24/25, cheers Dave
Hiya Tony, just a thought on ya pooches seasures. One of mine used to have a condition wereas she couldnt process protines and that was what triggered her seasures. They found it by a bloodtest and so with one tablet a day and a managed diet we had her for 18years. 😊👍
Sorry to hear about your dog struggling in the heat. Have you seen those dog cooling mats? I think they can be good for hot days. I hope he feels OK this summer and can stay cool.
i have a dog that was doing that when he got over exited now don't laugh but i now seep a twinings sleep tea bag in a cup of boiling water over night then split the liquid tea between am and pm he has not done it since. it has camamile and passion flower in it both good for seizures.
Oh my god I'm about to pay for woodchip to create a safe path in the garden for my elderly mum, the cost of it though! Is there any chance you could drive a carload of this down to Hertfordshire?!

Had a morning at the plot, mainly weeding today, but in memory of Steve, I've planted a few things - Green side up of course.

the weeds this year are unreal, they grow so high, things aren't growing like they used to. it's very strange this year.
