Yes. Some more Winger love. Easy Come, Easy Go is same style “sleezy” as Cant get enough. If you want a good ballad, Miles Away which Kip does great vocals on
Winger was done wrong back then, not that they didn't do well. But Beavis & Buthead did affect the band, as did the era changing. Kip is an incredible artist in his own right. You should see him play some of this music solo/acoustic when he did clubs years after the big fame. Good stuff.
Thank you very much! Been trying to get someone to react to Winger for almost a year!!! "Easy Come Easy Go", "Headed For a Heartbreak", are great ones, among the many.
The lead singer Kip Winger composes classical pieces for orchestra now- He Lives in Nashville and we've been kinda friends for like 5 years and I go to all his classical concerts and it's all genius. Some of Wingers music is super complex and interesting musically- but these songs you're checking out are like their old radio hits- the other songs on the album are more musically interesting, and these ones are more catchy with the choruses and stuff
@@TheAdventuresofTNT When It comes to Winger songs: "Time To Surrender", "Like A Ritual", "Junkyard Dog", "M16", "Battle Stations", "Rainbow In The Rose" are all badass AF 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Used to see Kip all the time in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area when he and his wife lived here. I think he moved after she was killed in a car accident here.
I've really been waiting for you to get to Warrant -Uncle Toms Cabin. The story and the video is like a mini-movie. The guitar work is amazing. This is the song Warrant should be remembered for. Jani Lane was a fantastic story teller in song

Yep, it's a dope song 😂 Living through the 80's as a glam metal fan was just the best... we had so much fun 😁 Winger were late to the party, but still a great band. You can hear definite Def Leppard influences in this, I think! Keep rocking... try some Dokken! (In My Dreams, The Hunter, It's Not Love, Walk Away.. they're all fabulous!) 🤘
If you like the sleaze-rock you should check out some of the tracks off Danger Danger's second album "Screw It". Songs like "Slipped Her the Big One", "Monkey Business", "Everybody Wants Some", "Yeah You Want It" will have you laughing your head off with the lyrics.

The reason beavis and butt head ragged on Winger was because metallica didnt like them because Lars Ulrich the drummer for metallica made a comment about Winger's drummer Rod Morgenstein not being that great of a drummer and Rod's response to Lars was: at least i dont play to click track's! which is true Lars plays with click tracks which is why you almost alway's see him playing with headphones on.Thus the creators of beavis and butthead favored metallica over winger.Thats how it all got started way back in the late 80's early 90's

To me, Winger's 'In the heart of the young' album showed their progression from their debut release. The freshman album had some very good music but their sophomore effort showed their true work.
Rod Morgenstein on drums is probably by far the most talented drummer that was a member of a "hair metal" band. Maybe even tops Tommy Aldridge of Whitesnake. He came from the Dixie Dregs band which was a virtuoso instrumental band that could play any style of music there is. Even though he had to play a little more simplistic and groove in Winger, he still finds plenty of spots to really let loose with his musicianship and signature drum style.
If you want Sleez Rock you gotta Steel Panther. Raunchy does’t even describe them. Satchel the lead guitar player writes the music and lyrics for them. He has to be one of the most under rated guitarist out there. These guys make Poison look tame. They started 20 some years ago as a Van Halen cover band. They mix comedy with metal and it’s GREAT. I got turned on to them by Scott Ian from Anthrax when in an interview he was asked what bands he listens to. He said I like Steel Panther. I checked them out and was instantly hooked. Idk how they flew under my Metal Radar. I saw Winger Firehouse and a local metal band at the county fair years ago and they rocked the house. Kip stories and the music were awesome. Great show and band.

Fun hair metal for the first two albums. The third album "Pull" feels more grown up. A really good rock album. Try "Junkyard Dog (Tears on Stone)" or "Who's the One" from that album. Cheers
It's just a nature of the sexual innuendo in the music. Nowadays, there's too much being 'cancelled' and from people that don't know what they're talking about. LOL. Love this reaction.
You've got to do the song Headed for Heartbreak. Honestly it's my favorite by Winger. And every time I see Kip Winger come strolling down that sidewalk or that close up on his face it just takes me right back. Reb playing guitar and doing his thing is just pristine '80s awesomeness. Is it melodramatic? Yes but so were the eighties in general so there's that. And I didn't care for Seventeen when it came out and still don't but a lot of bands were doing songs like this anyway.
Dude... One of the biggest Winger fans here. And I love BOTH the tunes you've reacted to, but following up Seventeen with Can't Get Enough was a bad suggestion by whoever suggested it, so many non-singles (and singles) that are more what you mentioned you were looking for and the newest single Proud Desperado slams! Appreciate ya checkin' them out! Please continue to react to the music from the genre old and NEW. There's so much GOOD shite out there! And you're right, this era killed!

So glad you enjoy Winger! Please give this one a try some day: "Junkyard Dog (Tears on Stone)" An absolute masterpiece forgotten by many. look for version offering lyrics as no actual Music Vid exists. ....Also, "Everything You Do (Sexin' Me)" Duet by Fiona and Kip Winger. HOT, but Classy.
almost no one called it hair metal in the 80s. That’s a falsehood that alt heads have perpetuated. We called it glam, rock or glam metal. Sleaze rock is a more recent term applied to the newer glam bands from the 2000s - which you should check out too!
You're probably seeing by now that Winger wasn't a bad group at all, but became a "joke" as the 90s progressed because they sort of epitomized that aspect of 80s culture that started to seem immature. The rising grunge bands (and certain older bands like Metallica) had darker, more depressing and "mature" lyrics and sound and that became "cool" while all of the 80s and early 90s "hair" bands became uncool. It's as if the rock world had a huge teenage mood swing in the 90s and went from fun and youthful to dark and emo.
I remember hearing a rumor about Metallica sneaking in to see Winger perform back in the day. The musicians in Winger were no joke. The drummer, Rod Morgenstein, went on to become an instructor at Berklee.
Hey Man, pls check it their album called "Pull " from 1993. Its easily among the top 10 hard rock gems from 90's. Different vibe tough from the all the 80's glam scene and sex appeal lyrics. 1993 focus in a more serious topics and has a definitely heavier sound! Kip's voice in this album is among one of the best vocal registers from the era.
Winger was and is one of my favorite bands from the hairband era, you nailed it with the sleaze rock take on it, for sure. Also your take on the music from the 90’s. I liked grunge initially but the newness wore off very quickly for me and I reverted back to the hairbands after a short while. Something about that time period, the 80’s/early 90’s hairbands, the musicianship was untouchable. And it still is, to this day. There are great bands that have come along since but for me, the last decade plus of really solid music died when grunge took over.
Winger: "Easy Come, Easy Go" also "Headed For a Heartbreak" are a definite must.
i still have the cassette single of Headed for a heartbreak
Great choices. I love ❤️ those songs. After Kip left, I liked a couple of their songs. But it wasn't as good

....Also, "Everything You Do (Sexin' Me)" Duet by Fiona and Kip Winger.
It’s very unfortunate it couldn’t have all co-existed. Undoubtedly hurt the genre in the end.
Miles away great song but headed for a heartbreak great song
YESSS!!! More Winger plz… man this was the best time to be alive!!! Not a fan of the “Sleazy” label, but To each their own opinion! 🤘🔥🥰
If you wanna check out some songs that are more serious. Rainbow in the rose or Junkyard Dog
That winger album came out in 1990 pretty sure
Easy Come Easy Go… if you haven’t heard it yet.
this is one of their best musically , but check out madelaine , their favorite of a lot of us
I remember hearing a rumor about Metallica sneaking in to see Winger perform back in the day.
"Rat Race" is a good one to hear.
My favorite winger song!!
Yes!!! More Winger. This is just a sexy video. But so was Kip Winger
It was also known as "cock rock," especially Whitesnake's '80s material - no explanation necessary.
Sleazy decade!, yes it was! and we loved it!
Rainbow in the Rose is stellar
