You should buy one. Do some performance mods. Intake, carb, pipe, compression. Get more rpm and maybe 1.5 lbs of torque. It would be a funny build series. You could even build the worlds fasted Motocompo.

If anything at the very least it's a great piece of motorcycle history. Honda really does cover all the bases of personal mobility and choice for everyone.

Once I got to a place in life I could afford one, the prices got too high to justify a lil scoot for the price of a Miata. I mean it's not like 10yr old me picked the R34 GTR ya know?
Honda is releasing the new motocompacto next year which is an all electric version of this and it’s a lot lighter and more compact than this one. So funny I took a training test about it the other day per my job and here yammie posts a video of the old motocompo haha
That boxy body looks like it could be an interesting platform for an electric conversion. Hub motor wheel(s) with battery pack and controller in the box body. 🤔

Honest question: are e-scooters not a thing in America? This whole video, I was wondering if Yammie has ever heard of e-scooters. They are exactly what the Motocompo is, but better. They're faster, lighter, smaller, more comfortable, AND electric.
This is how the modern electric scooters should be. Foldable, with seat and blinkers. Not this abomination on possibly smallest wheels, tripping on small rocks, crashing into pedestrians and turning without any indication.
it takes massive nuts to ride max speed and still have vehicles pass. its humbling to me. little tires feel every imperfection in the road and most average potholes are a unexpected parkour moment if that front tire digs in.
Chinese modernized copies of this bike just appeared in the Chongqing motor show last month. they're now with a 125cc engine..I noted but not very impressed.

I love these! Never ridden one, but I believe it would come in handy when all the car shows are in town. Really anytime in summer because traffic is horrendous and we have plenty of sidewalks to ride on if the cars are moving.
No way I can get away with riding around in Rural Texas with one of these. Especially not with the beer chugging Brodozer drivers that roam the roads here.
