I have an Oupes 1200 watt power station. It works great and uses a smaller amount of energy than my Jackery 1000. Only accepts 200 watts for solar though. It is a very well made battery.
I have a Mega3 powering my small off grid workshop/garage and just added a Mega1. I like it in part because it weighs under 30lbs vs the Mega3's 85lbs and so is much more portable. I charge it all with 400 Ws of PV but have an additional 200Ws of portable available if I need it.
2000w pure sine wave inverter Minimum $150, MPPT charge controller $100+, AC charger 1000w $100, Decent Lifepo4 battery $175 Bought this unit for 429 shipped including tax
@@zambonidriver1526 you think somehow this company can create a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter of the quality of $150 retail? And a $100+ mppt too. All for $50 wholesale? Like they have magic pricing on electronic components? They don't even have bulk pricing really. Get a grip. Get a 600 watt inverter and a 10 amp mppt for about $100 combined. That should do you fine for a single 1280w battery.
Always great revues. I have a 400 watt inverter in my Toyota 4Runner. Can it be used to charge power stations? This unit accepts up to 1400 ac watts input. Does that mean you cannot use less than 1400 watts?
Excellent question. Your AC inverter will like shutoff while attempting to charge this one. Also, I believe the 400w is a peak rating, but you’re only likely to get around 200w steady state from it. I’m not positive about this claim though.
@@AdventureGearTV also it's possible the tiny car inverter can be square wave output so some so-gens will refuse to take a square wave charge as input..??
my area uses 220v Electricity, Can this unit work with 220v input and output - like the Oupes Systems that I saw in AliExpress or it is limited to 120v ?
Just got ours and fan is loud when you hit 100 watts. Also acts weird when it gets down to zero it keeps running. Going to charge and discharge few times to see if it helps.
Agree. When I lived in a house I had to gas generators. Unfortunately if you're living in an apartment a gas or propane generator isn't an option. I don't see a power station as a long term solution. A day, two days, three days for larger power stations but they are not a long term solution. Yes, they can be recharged via solar or car but it takes a long time. These things are meant to be (IMHO) for short term emergency power to keep a frig, medical devices, computer, cellphones, etc operating for a short period of time.

When I stumble on these reviews, I remind myself that a 12.8v 100ah battery is around $150. Add an inverter and charger.
I agree, other than convenience, these battery based power stations are for the uniformed.

If you have any issues, then return it or exchange it.
@AdventureGearTV I will test both of them and see. Thanks
Very informative, thank you for sharing

You already know that double tapping on a comment likes it... but did you know triple tapping lets you comment back?
@@NDLily_Spam mind blown! You’re awesome, thanks for that.
@@AdventureGearTV of course!

Power stations = overpriced, underpowered and overrated. You can get a 8000w generator and extra propane tanks for less.

LOL this product doesn't exist. It's still in fund raising status.....
@@admiralcrom it’s in preorder status, It exists, and isn’t a fund raising project.
