You are lovely! Thank you so much for all the little tricks, it’s so appreciated among us who can’t/don’t go to a pro MUA!! Also those of us who are older, old doggies can indeed learn new tricks! Much well wishing and God bless you Caroline, from a huge fan of yours in America.
The Ciate under eye brightening perfector is amazing I discovered it some time ago and now don’t use any other concealer. I would highly recommend it to anyone 🥰💜
Loads of helpful tips Caroline, and many items budget friendly too - I hear your voice when I’m daubing away at my face and I’m reminded of so many useful tips, esp not to take shadow too near inner corner and keep waterline pencil away from lashes… etc- thank you, entertaining and informative and fun! ❤
Absolutely brilliant video Caroline. Sitting here in my dressing gown with the dogs feeling tired after another menopausal night up and down for the loo, but now feeling excited to go do my makeup and apply some of your great tips. I have the Elf shadow stick and the sky high mascara so I'm excited to apply these the way you showed us. Thank you as always. Your adorable personality really brightens my day ❤
Morning Caroline, I'm watching this on Saturday morning (rather than afternoon!) - with my coffee and the cat (who is also enjoying your video ).. This video couldn't have come at a better time, I swear every time I look in the mirror, my eyes look more baggy and tired.. !! The joys of 50+ .. Thank you.. 😄😆
Maybe the good LORD wants your attention. So just close your eyes & feel HIS presence, & before long, you'll be in a restful sleep!!!!!@@SpeedBeautybyCarolineBarnes
Caroline, you are a beautiful soul. Cheery, funny and I always learn something new. I too, before an afternoon meeting, will tap on a bit of eye cream over my makeup. And I do the , ' ah, now that feels better, I look fresher, more wide awake and off I go to finish the day'
It's just lovely to have you, Caroline, to show us different formulas and techniques. Helps me to have confidence to go and try things in store before I commit to spending my hard earned £'s. Panda eyes be gone! x
"Makeup tips that look fabulous in the supermarket" - haha, brilliant! Thank you for this - I save your videos for the sinking 'back to school' feeling I always get on a Sunday night (still have it and I'm 48 🤣)and you never fail to teach me something and make me smile. Love love love Sali's Ringlight balm too 🥰.
Thank you Caroline for this great video! I’m a sixty years old italian with fair complextion, pale lips and panda eyes, so I really appreciate your precious tips 🥰 I had to watch the film twice: I was already half way through and I kept thinking “I can’t see any dramatic improvement, fine lines are still there no matter how many amazing products have already been used…” Then I realized the fine lines were only under your left eye… Quite puzzled, I gave a better look at my smartphone: there was a huge fingerprint on the screen and “your wrinkles” came directly from my own hand 🤦🏻♀️😂😂😂 I promise I’ll wash my hands and clean the screen from now on! Hugs from Italy ❤️🌹
Hey Caroline,I’m light skinned with brown heredity circles that a little sunken,I’ve tried them all but Charlotte tilbury corrector in fair pale is the lightest pink which corrects the brown & brightens, with nars concealer on top with the tiniest bit of Givenchy pink powder to set & brighten,it’s the best in my years & years search to actually look well .The ciate looks similar 👍🏻I also wanted to try Natasha Denona in R 2 ,again a fair pink but for now Charlotte & nars gives me confidence.I’m going to get the drops too.Such a helpful video ,the tip about a Smokey eye is something I also learned years ago to deflect the problem.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yay, another really helpful video! After last week, I've been softening my sausage-fingered daubings of blusher and it's looked great! These videos are real game-changers for me ❤
Thank you for another wonderful and very educational video! Except from being a marvellous MUA, you seem like a genuinely nice person. Love all your videos, and I'll try all the tips from this one tomorrow. ❤
Such a helpful video, I'm definitely thinking of looking at a colour corrector for my darkness, especially at the inner corners of my eyes (bad sleeper 🙄). Thank you so much 👍😊
Hi Caroline! I really enjoyed this! I’m so happy you recommended the glossier concealer 👍🏻 I use it daily, but I always imagine other people to hate it for some reason 😆 it’s quite dewy but j adore it! 😜 I use light 4 in winter as it acts like a 2 in 1 concealer/corrector as it’s quite peachy and medium 1 in summer. Loved this. Thank you so much. Lotsa love 🩷🌸 xxx
How funny, while watching you put on your eye mask, I thought that I should do that too, & lo & behold, I went into my bathroom & opened my eye drawer, & there was the Elemis eye mask that I haven't used for some time. So I put it on & enjoyed the cooling effect while I watched the rest of your video. Caroline, I could listen to you forever. You're so uplifting & vibrant!!!! Thank you!
Happy Saturday, Caroline and everyone! Really great tips here, as always. I have genetic dark circles and sadly all the sleep in the world doesn’t make them better. If I’m doing “no makeup makeup”, and the rest of my skin is looking ok, I tend to just use a colour corrector to cancel out the darkness, and not bother with a concealer on top. I have also found doing concealer first, then a dab of colour corrector on top to be really effective. My favourite products are Charlotte Tilbury and Beauty Pie undereye colour correctors (I use the lightest shade in both) and Huda Beauty Faux Filter concealer, which does a really good job of concealing dark circles on its own without creasing or settling in lines. It’s also great for concealing blemishes and pigmentation. By the way, nice to see Blinky The Cow making an appearance 🤣😂 Have a great weekend all! xx
Hi Caroline, That ELF eye shadow stick looks like a worthwhile product to help highlight certain points around the eye. I will certainly look out for that and try your techniques. Thank you.
I'm obsessed with your videos, been waiting all week for a new upload❤☕️ What colour inner eye pencil would you recommend for black skin. I find that off-white is too light and un-natural looking for me.
Yes agreed I will look for a perfect creamy nude for you but in the meantime add a touch of your concealer to your liner to warm it up it works a treat
Brilliant tips, thank you Caroline! I don't think I'd use them all at once because I'm too impatient, but having zoomed in I can can definitely see which product does which job and will refer to it when I need it next. That's what's great about your videos, they're like a 'how to' manual that I can refer back to as and when. X
This is exactly what I needed. I have deeper eyes with a bit of puffiness under my eyes. It does create shadowing. I visited the Jones Road store in NYC and the artist recommended the new neutralizer face pencil in Fair Pink. It seemed to do a nice job but I had to order it online because they were out of stock. It should arrive today. I’ll let you know.Thank you again for this video.
Good morning Caroline, thank you for this video. I would love a video on the hyaluronic acid serum. I appreciate your recommendations . So good to see you!
Please could you do a video on ‘holiday’ makeup. Products to use during the day while sitting by the pool etc. I don’t put my face in the sun and sometimes it’s nice to be sunbathing looking slightly glam and not like I’ve been dug up! 🙈
Morning Caroline, well timed video…my under eyes are like the Sahara right now. Currently have a tube of BP triple hyalaronic eye cream in every pocket. Re mascara….i always end up with loads on my eyelid, what am I doing wrong??
I LOVE Sali Hughes's ring light balm. I think some people had expectations that didn't match the purpose of the product. It's not concealer but has mica in it. I have a latte coloured skin with blue/purple under eyes and this just lifts them. It's also great to use when freshening up makeup mid day Fab!
Hi Caroline, fab video as always! I have hereditary under eye hollows and darkness and have recently started to experiment with a colour corrector (I'm using the Elf peach one) and feel that helps but will definitely try some of your tips. You look particularly 'fresh' in today's video! Love your sweater also! Xx
This is a very helpful video, your skin looks amazing. The only thing that makes me feel a bit frustrated is I don’t like having to buy so many differing cosmetic products that do such a small job on such a small tiny area, especially given the environmental need to curtail waste. It just leaves me feeling how women are being exploited and ripped off as usual! Maybe one day there will be a one palette does all product LOL! Thanks again for the helpful tips though.
I understand what you feel and that why I try to make my channel tip heavy and not too much NEW product chat. I guess people like to see a variety of products but please don’t feel you must we can only do what we can with what we have x
Caroline can you tell me what shade you used in Elf no budge eye stick, got wrong shade ,also most of the pens have same colour base and top ,I noticed one you used has black base below the pen part,it was beautiful on you, thank you
Thank you! That is such a helpful video. I am going to try the tips out this morning and buy several of your recommended products. The Lumify website defaults to the USA when I put in my address, and insists that the borough of Trafford in Greater Manchester is in Alabama! Do you know any way of buying Lumify in the Uk without paying over the odds? Love your videos. Kate ❤😊
Loved this! I don’t have dark circles (feel incredibly lucky), but a little dark near the nose and my eyes get irritated easily so can water a lot which leaves them dry and tired, so these tips help me too.
The maybelline in the black tube “cosmic black” has the same brush but less floppy and when you blink onto that wand it does a really good lash line. I have always blinked onto every wand too.
It would be nice if you have any clients or friends with different skin tones and darker levels of undereye problems and you could use your dermacolor camouflage palette to show examples of color correcting. 😊
The eye products you used did make a big difference.Very nice The thing with watching these video,s is, that you want it all. In the meantime i,m pretty happy with my latest buy the l,oreal true match concealer , Better than the Givenchy to be honest. Today i got a sample of the Clinique serum foundation with hyaluronic acid and vitamine c, . see how that will look Please do more video,s about eyebrighteners and concealers, showing the charlotte T ones especially. Thanks, love from Holland🌷🌷🌷🌷
That was so brilliant, thank you. Is there anything you can do with makeup to minimise under eye hollows? I don’t have very bad dark circles but I do have quite bad hollows! If I try and do the whole lightening the hollow to bring it forward trick, that makes my not very bad dark circles suddenly look worse!
I agree that the Mabelline Sky High mascara has a very light, springy wand, but it does a good job of lengthening. I’ve just bought the L’Oreal Panorama Volume Million Lashes, which has a similar wand and effect.
That was full of useful tips. My biggest issue is that I have sort of dents under my eyes at the top of my cheekbones which make me look permanently knackered! I have the beauty pie superluminous concealer but hadn’t used it yet as I was using up other stuff. AI popped it on the dented bits and inner corners of my eyes and what a difference it made, i think because its light reflecting it took the emphasis off them a bit? Definitely sticking to this concealer now!
Have you tried the ole Hendrickson banana bright eye cream? It’s the only thing I’ve ever used that actually properly works at getting rid of dark circles and patches long term and it works within a couple of days and you’ll see a big difference even then
Thank you so much Caroline, really great tips! Please could you let me know the colour of the Elf Shadow Stick - is it Perfect Pearl or Champagne Crystal? Thank you for all your advice - it’s so helpful!
I have fair skin and very dark skin around my eyes. I find the Beauty Pie Colour Corrector to be the best for me, even better than the Becca one, which it is very similar too.
Would love the video on HA etc. Any video you do always great. I just heard off lumify and asked eye dr when I was there..he said they also make lashes grow.BUT can make blue eyes get a black circle ( not sure how much use needed) .
I have had dark circles my entire life & they have only gotten worse with age especially because my tear trough seems to create more of a shadow each year. I always stayed away from Smokey eyes for fear it would enhance my circles & only make them look worse… I have very pale skin with dark purple blue circles & no matter what I do the circles always pop through. I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup so usually just lessening the intensity of the shadow is good enough for me but I always felt doing a darker eye made it look worse. How do you recommend to do a Smokey eye in this case? Any tips or suggestions? Thank you!!
I love and use Lumify. I usually get it from the US but I'm running out of it. The website linked under show more only deliver to the US. Can you give us an alternative. Thanks
I’ve ordered some from a website called Frugo earlier in the week, they’ve not come yet but I’m hoping it will be ok. I’ve never tried lumify but heard such good things
Love this (as always) just wondering where you get the black replacements for the shuemera eye lash curlers please. I have these and can’t find the replacement bits anywhere xx
Could I please suggest a video that goes into your recommendations for topical treatments for thin lips. I've lost a lot of fullness with age, but I'm not keen on the idea of having any procedures done. And then perhaps different lip cosmetics and textures - balms/tints/stains/satin/matt finishes for a subtle girlie weekend lunch kind of vibe that looks like I've made an effort without being too in your face? . Personally, I very rarely have the confidence to wear a bright lip, but don't always want to wear nudes all the time. So, something in between? x
Actually Lumify eye drops are considered safe for everyday use, per my ophthalmologist and the package. It’s a different mechanism of action than Visine. Lumify originated as a medication for people with glaucoma and is still used as such. Reduces pressure in the eye; whiteness is a secondary beneficial side effect.
I use Lumify on the advice of my opthamologist. It is actually very safe and does not work by constricting the vessels like Visine (which I would never use) ! It’s actually a very low dose version of a glaucoma medication. I get it at Costco here in the US 😊
Is the Dermacolor Camouflage mini palette creamy or powdery, can it be used to conceal thread veins? I have thread veins close to the side of my nose due to Cancer surgery .Thanks.
I used to spend a lot on eye creams, concealers etc… I bought an LED eye mask and it’s honestly the best investment I’ve ever made, I need much less product now. Some of these products are so expensive and when you repeat buy it mounts up.

Excellent vlog again Caroline, love the sweater colour on you too. I will be trying a couple of things again 🙂
Thank you Caroline for this great video! I’m a sixty years old italian with fair complextion, pale lips and panda eyes, so I really appreciate your precious tips 🥰

My eye doctor recommended Lumify for redness but I agree with you I wouldn't over use it.

I love my Lumify!! It’s the last step of my makeup routine. Since I live in Paris I have to bring them back from the US when I travel.

Caroline can you give alternatives to Beauty pie products on your videos … as unfortunately we can’t get the membership in Ireland…!,,
Love this (as always) just wondering where you get the black replacements for the shuemera eye lash curlers please. I have these and can’t find the replacement bits anywhere xx
I found replacement rubbers, generic, on amazon or ebay.
Cheap as anything so I change them more often
Thank you very much !
So, something in between? x
What brand and color is that please? 💓
I get it at Costco here in the US 😊
Catrice do a pink corrector which is light and easy to apply and a good price Stila colour corrector palette is very good.
Is the Dermacolor Camouflage mini palette creamy or powdery, can it be used to conceal thread veins? I have thread veins close to the side of my nose due to Cancer surgery .Thanks.
I find the beauty pie concealer goes dry and into lines. Does your base prevent this? Thanks
I used to spend a lot on eye creams, concealers etc… I bought an LED eye mask and it’s honestly the best investment I’ve ever made, I need much less product now. Some of these products are so expensive and when you repeat buy it mounts up.
