Honestly, Sarah... I enjoyed this movie. The plot twist in the middle, the session between the girl and the therapist, and other details, caught me. What I didn't like was the last half hour.
One could think for a second part... That Chanty... Maybe it was Fredy Krueguer's toy bear, because the address where they move (according to the letter from the hospital, in the first minutes) is at 9817 Elm Street, at a few kilometers from 1428 Elm Street.

I was on the fence but I figured it'd be more of a wide-audience vibe. Thank you for your review. I think I'll wait till it's on one of the platforms & watch it at home.

I saw the trailer for this and Night Swim at the theater when I went to see Saltburn and this is the one I was more excited for. I was hoping they made the most of a really interesting idea (agree with you on that!) I just hope the characters don’t feel replaceable by the end once I get around to streaming it.

Sounds like it runs along the same lines as Cobweb. I don't mean the storyline, I mean the target audience and new pg13 horror. We need more introductory horror to get them started young! Thanks for your review. I'm not dying to see it for myself, but it did make me consider taking my son to see it.

I agree, that's why I think there is an audience for this film and others like it. There are younger audiences and horror beginners

Me and my other half watched Imaginary at the cinema yesterday and honestly, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We are casual horror movie fans so we didn't really think a lot into it, looking back at it now, there were a few things in my opinion that they could have done better but thank you for covering it though!

I'd absolutely never heard of this movie until it came out and suddenly everyone on the internet is saying "oh my god this is the worst movie of all time" which, obviously, can't be true. People really do like to exaggerate how bad a movie is and I've never really figured out why, unless it's for clout. I mean, I've seen plenty of movies that probably deserve to be on a list of "worst of all time" (what can I say, I like bad movies), but the ones that are truly, truly awful have to have absolutely NOTHING going for them. If you can find even one thing in a movie that is good, it's clearly not the worst of all time so I just roll my eyes when I hear people say things like this.
I'm curious about the movie, and I'm not sure it's something I'd enjoy so I'll probably wait til it comes out somewhere I can stream it without having to throw in some extra money. Thanks for the review as always!
