I agree up to the mirror portion. Unless you have the benefit of dual mirrors like in some trucks, adjust the mirrors right the the point where you DON'T see the edge of your car unless you tilt your head slightly. It's more important to see things in your blindspot than seeing your own car.
the most important one is the leg adjustment, always press your brake pedal to the floor or how far it can go then adjust the seat so your knee is bent.... if your knee is straight in the event of a serous crash you can break your back and become paralyzed, its better if you damage your knee because it can heal..... BTW where is the latest ep of Cnet on cars??? was the show canceled or something??
I simply can’t get comfortable in my new-to-me car. It may be an issue of what I’m used to, but it is frustrating and panic inducing. One of the worst things? The head rest that pushes my head forward. I already have neck problems.
Good info, especially the part about adjusting the mirrors to eliminate as much of the blind spot. Geez, Cooley's socks were not very cooperative, they needed pulling up.
ScooniePenn10 Brah this is useful info like how to do a *proper* pushup. Especially the side mirrors and headrest. A good portion of people have their side mirrors taken up by the side of the car. And many people think that head rest is just that, and not a way to protect your self against whiplash.
How to adjust your seat, really ?! Next, Brian should teach us how to execute a perfect gangster lean. Btw, thumbs up for his Rolex Submariner date on a james bond nato strap.
I'm not saying this information is not useful, I'm just saying, that one would hope the DMV would make sure people can operate a car before they give them a license
Mirrors should be adjusted further out - you’re covering your blind spots, shouldn’t see your sides. Headrest should be higher, even or higher than top of your head - Volvo doesn’t even give a lower opinion in some models. Cut that out with your wrist on the top of the steering wheel, that’s a dangerous habit. And so forth. So much slightly incorrect in this video, I think the entire country should be sent for driver RE-training. Jesus!
I didn't know that the Ford Crown Victoria had the technology to go "CNET style" for Brian Cooley... I suppose he is a hypocrite bashing cars he tests when his car is so outdated.
The Aroused Eunuch the seat adjustments on a crown Vic are super basic and simple, yet have everything you need for proper driving position. I say it was a perfect car for the video. And I own one some I'm a little partial to them.
I wasn't hating on the Crown Vic, @@TheJared1445. I never drove one (I live in Europe), but it looks like a comfortable car to be in. I was just pointing out to gedaman that Cooley isn't a hypocrite for driving an older car and criticizing new cars for lack of technology. He can drive whatever he wants. :)
Cooley does it again! Literally saving lives and spinal cords. This video is very well done & everyone should give his steps a try.

Key B Brian has uploaded another video about the importance of blind spot visibility. Seeing your own car in your rear-view mirrors does you no good.
I see Cooley, I watch! Very informative yet brief, cause most drivers don't know this.
I don't think I've ever seen the hood of my car but I'm 5,5"
All this time, I've been adjusting my car seat incorrectly... Thank you Mr. Cooley!!
Im having a hard time finding the balance between all the adjustments. I either feel too far forward/too far back or seats too low/too high.

simple video straight to the point I like it
It's funny that it took me until I'm 45 years old to finally think, "I wonder if I'm setting my driving position correctly." Thank you. :)
This is exactly the video i was looking for

You ever figure something out?

Cooley gives us, life changing facts & knowledge!
Where's CNET on cars!?!??!
is Cnet on car canceled or did they change the name???
Let's unsubscribed! so they can bring back the full show.
@@dunhillsupramk3 They changed the name to Roadshow and got rid of the long format they did before.
Hey cooly where the show
Thank you! This is great! I couldn't drive my car before because I didn't know how to reach the pedals.

Quick and informative 👍
My legs are too damn long and my torso is too damn short, thanks for this
I think you missed the last part of how to memorize it for your personal preference, Brian.
what the hell Brian. Stop making these small videos. We want a full 20 min episode
oh I miss the crown victoria, Brain is there any chance for car maker to build a vehicle like it ?
cool! It cracks me up when I see people sooooo close to the steering wheel that could steer with this chin! very unsafe.
We need Cooley back to do Cnet on cars. Like if you agree!
I'm hanging on RUclips to watch Comey today
What if my lumbar support is not going 100 degrees it keeps going to back to how it was I have a 2023,Honda Accord
On your next episode, would you please explain how to get in and out of the car. Thank you.
how to adjust passanger seat in holden trax 2016
sadly, my sub compact car still rubs my leg when the wheel is all the way up and the seat is all the way back.
Alright so what if I do all that with my seat but I’m too far from the steering wheel?
in our next episode, we'll have a tutorial on opening an unlocked door.

I did a search for Mazda CX5 and this comes up. WTF? Not the same.
where the hell is Cooley? we miss him !

Btw, thumbs up for his Rolex Submariner date on a james bond nato strap.
my truck has no seat or steering wheel adjustment at all lol
ohhhh I have comfy shoes liked that .....

Those mirror settings are way wrong you will never see what's in your "blind spot" that way.
Easy for you to say you use button try using manual see how easy you can do
Why can't they put everything in one show like CNET on Cars? Instead, they chopped them in sections?!?!?
Too bad the motors on my drivers burned out.
why is he so illusive theses days? i couldnt believe it was him
crown Victoria has no foot rest
5 feet 8 guy like me i put a brick for a footrest
Welp, cnet on car cars is dead ;( and so am I
I didn't know that the Ford Crown Victoria had the technology to go "CNET style" for Brian Cooley... I suppose he is a hypocrite bashing cars he tests when his car is so outdated.
He reviews modern cars, when compared to modern cars. The Crown Victoria is not a new car.

WE WANT ANSWERS COOLIE WHERE'S CNET ON CARS
CNET on Cars is now Cooley on Cars!
@Roadshow, enough with these short 'Cooley on Cars' videos... we want the full 20ish minute CNET on Cars show back!
so no more full episodes?
Really? Did you really have ti make a video on how to adjust a seat?
If you need this, you should not be driving
I guess it's safe to say the BEST program on RUclips , CNET on cars is now DEAD. Unsubscribing now.
