So far - #58 or #7 sound great for my new SCX6 Honcho. I can’t wait when it arrives. I’ll definitely place my hand over the speaker for that beep. I’ve decided to use a LiFe rx battery to power it. I’ll just put a switch harness on it to turn on and off. I already do that with the headlights and auxiliary lights. The rest of the lights (bumper and tail) are on a separate circuit and stay on. I trail and crawl 99.999% of the time in the daytime. Big block or small block V8 sound? Right now - big block since it’s a quick trail truck in high range. And idling on the rocks would sound cool. I now (at 64 and retired and luckily medically stoned in a stoner state) realize THIS the large scale IS the ultimate in surface RC when it comes to bashing. For me - 1/10th scale represent build projects. And I love build projects. The next one - Team Associated DR10M modified drag racer. Already have a DR10 rear motor stock class racer. This hobby is so cool…
Hello friend Great video. A question. In my truck CRX18 6WD is a combination esc and receiver , i dont want to change the electronics, so I was thinking of connecting the 3 wire plug of GT POWER speaker like tis way the signal to the positive, the neutral to the negative for the motor wires of the car and the ground just to grounding somewhere else in the car. Will it work this way? or will i do damage? I can't figure out what the black ground wire is for can you tell me? Thanks in advance.
Edited as this comment was just rude & didnt deserve to exist! Sincere Apologies to a very nice uploader. I only wanted to point out that nobody should plug things in like that with the power turned on as with the Transmitter its possibly the main reason for injuries like tire burn that I know from different situations can be painful! Just didnt want bad or dangerous instructions etc being passe don/tough to other that may not know the dangers. Thanks for the video tho!
All good man. Im not here to be rude to people. No sense in that. I did film this early in my video days. I made a mistake and didnt catch it. A few of my earlier stuff is not great. Lol. But im trying.
Nice sound from this unit, Hard to tell over a video but does it sound reasonably realistic? You mention that you'll carry in the shop? I think you said $40.00? Tapping the throttle turned it on, does it turn off tapping reverse?
@@DixielandRC Awesome, Thanks for the rapid reply. I'll be looking more into these. I'm scratch building a scale 40" Chris Craft and the engine sound would be an amazing add. Trouble is I'll be needing two since the boat will be twin screw.
I purchased this several months ago as a Christmas gift. Installed it in my daughters rock crawler and the sound Revs in reverse, and is idle in forward. The truck is a RGT EX86110 rock crawler. I was thinking of making a custom ESC/Receiver splitter wherein I reverse the polarity (+ and - wires) to the GT Power module. Thoughts? Thank you for the video !
It's the signal that is in reverse. Plus and minus has nothing to do with what direction stuff connected to the reciver operate. Worst case scenario you'll kill it. You are probably running the throttle backwards or something. Reverse CH2 on the radio, and the motor wires, and it should be good. A bit late now perhaps.. xD
I noticed the sound you focused on in the video is an exact same sound the ess systems have so I'm assuming they share the same sound files the only difference is quality like I know the ess systems are waterproof but, idk if the gt power is I haven't done any research on it yet but it still looks like a great deal for 40 bucks.
Not bad for the price! Through Headphones anyway it sounds fairy deep. Either way, to give your Rig some growl on a budget, this looks like the ticket! 👍👍 Carmine 🚂🚙

How many types of sounds does this simulator have? I need sounds for truck and construction machine such as wheel loader, excavator. Does this simulater consist such sounds? Please reply...
Hey man, been looking at these for my crawler lately. I have found one I liked, got good reviews - but not this one. I may have to look into the one you have. Btw how did you get power in; did you use the ESC input? Just curious. Also, the hum on the power input: you can try soldering on a capacitor to see if that helps - 25V 220uF or larger. That should take care of any noise and help filter it out - solder close to the device instead of the power source. Or - try a separate battery to power it instead of the source used. Those ferrite beads are okay sometimes, I see you've only got one - the way they filter the best is to have one at the source and one at the device. But, the cap should be a much simpler solution! I'm making several cap packs for my bigger RC's, makes a big difference in performance. Going to start making and selling on eBay as well - 2, 4, and 6 cap packs for cheap! I'm using low ESR 25V 3300uF caps for them as well. 6600uF - 13,200uF - 19,800uF - I'll need to test but possibly 6s LiPo support. I'll post a link when I get supplies and packs made!
You can basically edit all that stuff with the software by pluging the thing on a computer with the mini usb port. You can choose up to 20 second idle, gear changing speed ( or deactivate the feature ), you can choose brake sound effect or not, turbo sound, rpm limiter sound or not ect... It's a killer kit very complete for the price
i plugged it in like you did. when i hit reverse it revs up and nothing when i give it gas. will updated solve this or is there a factory reset help please

@@jemlesvideo Hi about what software you talk?
@@zhopich The software that you need to download at the product website.
Hi, can this unit be installed to a wpl or jjrc trucks?
Yes. Should work as long as there is a receiver so it knows when you press the throttle.
Does this device have the annoying brake squeal when going into reverse, I know the ess can be programmed not to have it.
I dont think so
can this not run directly connected to the esc? does it have to be spliced into the battery? Thanks
It comes with a deans jumper
Qual é esse modelo?
Would this be a good fit for my Stampede and Rustler?
Maybe. Would be hard to fit on it im sure. Dont see why it wouldnt work if thats what you want.
Any good for dozers..??
It mainly uses the throttle for input so it may work. Not really sure though
Does it shift gears or does it sound like its always stuck in gear?
Constant sound
Is the sound size adjustable for this product?
There is a volume button on it. Thats about it.
i plugged it in like you did. when i hit reverse it revs up and nothing when i give it gas. will updated solve this or is there a factory reset help please
Which RC do you have. It might be dependent on your wiring.
Anyway, were you able to resolve the issue?
I havent heard anything from you in a while or seen a package. Did you get this working?

It has a jumper plug that powers the unit
Yeah I already ... but thy.
Can you increase the revs from an idle?
No.
Is has Rotary Engine Sound?
I dont think so.
Is there a Datsun sound one
I dont think so

Around 45 seconds i think. Its been a very long time since i have messed with it.
